  • This study evaluates the nutritional retention factors influencing beef based on different cuts and boiling. Two cuts (brisket and shin foreshank) were prepared from beef and used in this experiment. Boiling methods were applied to each cut. The fat content of the boiled shin foreshank cut (236.43%) exceeded that of the brisket cut (142.38%). The moisture content of the boiled brisket cut (47.68%) was lower than that of the shin foreshank cut (49.54%). The sodium content of the boiled shin foreshank cut (47.89%) exceeded that of the brisket cut (37.30%). The potassium content of the boiled brisket cut (41.90%) exceeded that of the shin foreshank cut (39.63%). The calcium content of the boiled brisket cut (48.43%) was lower than that off the shin foreshank cut (71.34%). The phosphorus content of the boiled brisket cut (58.09%) exceeded that of the shin foreshank cut (57.24%). The iron content of the boiled brisket cut (72.72%) was lower than that of the shin foreshank cut (87.29%). Nutritional retention factors represent output data on cooking methods with a yield (%) for each item.

  • This study investigates the influence of emotional intelligence and professional self-concept on retention intention in nurses. The participants were 170 nurses from three hospitals in B city. Data were collected with structured questionnaires, from May 7 to May 30, 2019, and analyzed by applying descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression, using the SPSS/WIN 24.0 program. Our results reveal the level of emotional intelligence to be 4.82(7), professional self-concept 2.61(4), and retention intention 5.47(8). We observed that the retention intention positively correlates with emotional intelligence and professional self-concept. The factors influencing retention intention were professional self-concept (β=.456, p<.001), age (β=-.228, p<.001) and holidays (β=.197, p=.002). This regression model determines the intention retention to be 35.9%. We propose that it is necessary to develop and make available programs embracing factors that prevent and reduce retention intention in nurses.

  • In the reversed-phase chromatography, the retention time of sample was investigated based on the molecular structure of compound. Several descriptors that were related to retention factors were selected, and then the values of descriptors were calculated with several softwares. The effect of retention factor was measured with calculated values, and the results were obtained that each descriptors of molecular structure of compound have different effect on the retention factor. Therefore, the empirical equation for seven types of descriptors considered was obtained, and it has high values of correlation coefficient. Furthermore, the experimental data and calculated values have good agreement.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of work-family conflict and social support on retention intention in married female nurses. Participants were nurses working in 5 general hospitals in C city and data were collected from September 1 to 15, 2017. Data were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, multiple regression analysis using SPSS Win 23.0. Factors influencing retention intention were identified as following; time-based conflict, more than one child, charge nurse, support of a co-workers, managers' support, with 37.3% explanatory power. This study shows that time-based conflict has negative effect on retention intention, while support of co-workers and managers have positive effect. This result may be useful in developing new strategies for enhancing retention intention. Further research is needed to identify other factors affecting the retention intention of married female nurses.

  • Purpose: This study was aimed to identify the relationships among job stress, nursing performance, and retention intention of clinical nurse. Methods: Data was collected at a hospitals located in Seoul, from October 19 to October 26 in 2010. Total subjects were 270. Data was analyzed by PASW 18.0 program. Results: Job stress of the subjects was 3.69(0.43). Nursing performance of the subjects was 3.69(0.45). Retention intention of the subjects was 3.21(0.78). Job stress and nursing performance were correlated positively (r=0.276, p<0.001). Nursing performance and retention intension were correlated positively (r=0.151, p=0.05). But job stress were correlated with nursing performance negatively (r=-0.127, p=0.05). Conclusion: According to increasing the nursing performance and decreasing the job stress, retention intension of clinical nurse is increased. We suggest a new study on mediation effect by nursing performance on retention intention and to predict factors on retention intension.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine factors affecting the retention intention of clinical dental hygienists. Methods: A total of 190 clinical dental hygienists were recruited as participants. Data were collected from March to May, 2023 and then analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression through PASW Statistics 26.0. Results: Mean scores for job crafting, job satisfaction, positive psychological capital and retention intention were 3.22, 3.46, 3.57 and 3.46 respectively. Retention intention showed a significant relationship with positive psychological capital (r=0.299), job crafting (r=0.214), and job satisfaction (r=0.649). The results of the multiple regression analysis indicated that job satisfaction was the strongest predictor of retention intention, explaining 24.1% of the total variance (F=4.550, p<0.001). Conclusions: Variables that can affect the retention intention of clinical dental hygienists were identified, with job satisfaction emerging as a significant factor affect retention intention.

  • This research studies the factors which influence the tensile strength of tire cords. Five yam samples are made by changing the spinning conditions and viscosity to get various physical properties. Different twisting methods are introduced and the yams are twisted under different processing conditions for each twisting process. With the experimental results, various analyses are performed to find the important factors in retaining strength after the twisting process. SEM and optical microscopic photographs are taken along with some measurements to assist the analysis.

  • A liquid chromatographic chiral stationary phase (CSP) based on (+)-(18-crown-6)-2,3,11,12-tetracarboxilic acid without extra free aminopropyl groups on silica surface has been demonstrated to be quite effective for the resolution of various $\beta$-amino acids. The retention factors ($k_1$) for the resolution of $\beta$-amino acids on the CSP were quite large and the large retention factors might be quite attractive along with the reasonable separation factors ($\alpha$) for preparative scale enantioselective chromatography. The large retention factors on the CSP were found to be reduced effectively by adding ammonium ion to mobile phase without sacrificing the chiral recognition efficiency of the CSP. Consequently, the CSP is also quite applicable for use in analytical enantioselective chromatography.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the structural equation modeling of retention intention in nurses. Methods: A total of 210 nurses from three hospitals in B city, South Korea participated in this study. A structural equation model was constructed to verify the fitness of this model. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 21.0 programs. Results: The hypothetical model appeared to fit the data. Three of the selected six hypotheses for the hypothetical model were statistically significant. The retention intention model showed significant direct effects for job crafting and job demands and indirect effects for relation oriented culture, which explained 28% of the variation in nurses' retention intention. Conclusion: We found that nurses' job crafting behavior and job demands had significant influences on retention intention and relation oriented culture which affected by the factors job crafting.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of relationship quality on customer value, customer satisfaction and relationship retention intention in the B2B transaction relationship. For the empirical study, we conducted a survey of the PCB corporation's client companies and used 110 surveys of them for analysis. The results of this study are summarized as follows : First, trust, relationship satisfaction, unity and performance as factors of relationship quality had significantly positive effect on relationship retention intention by the medium of customer satisfaction. Second, utilitarian value which is a parameter did not have significantly effect on customer satisfaction and relationship retention intention. Whereas, hedonic value which is influenced by relationship satisfaction, unity and performance had significantly positive effect on customer satisfaction and relationship retention intention. These results are not treated weightily in the preceding studies and managing the hedonic value in B2B transaction relationship is considered important to improve the customer satisfaction and relationship retention intention.
