This work is concerned with the motion of propeller driven airplanes, flying at constant velocity on ascending or descending rectilinear trajectories. Its purpose is to provide important features of rectilinear flights that are required for airplane trajectory planning but that cannot be found already published. It presents a method for calculating the amount of fuel used, the restrictions on the trajectory parameters, as inclination and speed, which result from the load factor, the lift coefficient, the positivity and upper boundedness of the power available. It presents a complete discussion of both ascending and descending flights, including gliding. Some original remarks are made about the parameters of gliding. It shows how to construct tables of parameters allowing to identify rapidly flyable trajectories. Sample calculations are shown for the Cessna 182 and a Silver Fox like unmanned aerial vehicle.
We consider a controlled nonlinear mechanical system described by the Lagrange equations. We determine the control forces $Q_1$ and the restrictions for the perturbations $Q_2$ acting on the mechanical system which allow to guarantee the asymptotic stability of the program motion of the system. We solve the problem of stabilization by the direct Lyapunov's method and the method of limiting functions and systems. In this case we can use the Lyapunov's functions having nonpositive derivatives. The following examples are considered: stabilization of program motions of mathematical pendulum with moving point of suspension and stabilization of program motions of rigid body with fixed point.
There is an extensive literature on retrial queueing models. While a majority of the literature on retrial queueing models focuses on the retrial times to be exponentially distributed (so as to keep the state space to be of a reasonable size), a few papers deal with nonexponential retrial times but with some additional restrictions such as constant retrial rate, only the customer at the head of the retrial queue will attempt to capture a free server, 2-state phase type distribution, and finite retrial orbit. Generally, the retrial queueing models are analyzed as level-dependent queues and hence one has to use some type of a truncation method in performing the analysis of the model. In this paper we study a retrial queueing model with threshold-type policy for orbiting customers in the context of nonexponential retrial times. Using matrix-analytic methods we analyze the model and compare with the classical retrial queueing model through a few illustrative numerical examples. We also compare numerically our threshold retrial queueing model with a previously published retrial queueing model that uses a truncation method.
The spatial fractional diffusion equation can be discretized by employing the implicit finite difference scheme using the shifted Grünwald formula. The discretized linear system is obtained, whose the coefficient matrix has a diagonal-plus-Toeplitz structure. In order to solve the diagonal-plus-Toeplitz linear system, on the basis of circulant and skew-circulant splitting (CSCS splitting), we construct a new and efficient iterative method, called DSCS iterative methods, which have two parameters. Than we prove the convergence of DSCS methods. As a focus, we derive the simple and effective values of two optimal parameters under some restrictions. Some numerical experiments are carried out to illustrate the validity and accuracy of the new methods.
We present the development of a water-cooled heat sink that provides reliable thermal performance for high-power IGBT inverter. The development process comprises three stages. In the concept design, the thermal performances of two design proposals are considered. The thermal system of each design is particularly analyzed using the compact model. In the detailed design stage, specific dimensions of the heat sink are determined considering the design options under given external restrictions and the results from three-dimensional heat transfer analysis. The prototype of the resultant design is made and tested on the rig for final confirmation. We emphasize the relevant use of the thermal analysis on each stage and also discuss various practical issues involved.

The current maritime data communications mainly depend on radio and satellite which have restrictions on data rate and cost. That leads to needs of novel relatively-high-speed data communication systems at sea just like on land. This paper proposes a routing protocol (MWR) for newly designed model of ship-to-ship communication networks at sea. The MWR protocol finds out an optimal route by selecting an optimal network for each specific application from overlapped networks of available wireless media at sea.

This paper deal with basic concept of Hardware In the Loop System(HILS) for hydraulic excavator. Hydraulic excavator has many nonlinearities because of P-Q diagram, dead zone and saturation of valve, single acting cylinder, heavy manipulator. So, actual test is needed when new component or control algorithm is developed but many restrictions exist. Hydraulic circuit of excavator is too complex to model mathematically but dynamic equation of manipulator has made good progress in previous studies. Basic concept of HILS and AMESim model of hydraulic components is contained in this paper.
In general structures, cleavage fracture may develop under the low constraint condition of larger scale yielding with a shallow surface crack. However, standard procedures for fracture toughness testing require very severe restrictions of specimen geometry. So the standard fracture toughness data makes the integrity assessment irrationally conservative. In this paper, cleavage fracture toughness tests have been made on side-grooved PCVN (precracked charpy V-notch) type specimens (10 by 10 by 55 mm) with varying crack depth, The constraint effects on the crack depth ratios are quantitatively evaluated by scaling model and Weibull stress method using 3-D finite clement method, After correction of constraint loss due to shallow crack depths, the statistical size effect are also corrected according to the standard ASTM E 1921 procedure, The results snowed a good agreement in the geometry correction regardless of the crack size, while some over-corrections were observed in the corrected values of $T_0$.
Recently, the anti-dumping actions of China are becoming aggressive, resulting in the speculation that Korea's trade surplus to China will be reduced. Anti-Dumping Actions by the Chinese Government are also becoming harsh. According to KOTRA, 18 anti-dumping actions were taken by the Chinese government against Korean products. The Chinese government has opened two additional cases of dumping investigations again Korean products 2005 as well. Therefore, Korea will likely face more trade restrictions in the form of anti-dumping in China Accordingly, the Accused party need to understand Anti-Dumping Act of China. The trade related authorities are monitoring on the China related information, and builds system barring Anti-Dumping Actions. Also, companies strongly export the differential products to the China.
The technology transfer agreements, which transfer technology from industrialized countries to developing countries, are subjected to control and restrictions in many developing countries in order to protect national interests. The licensors endeavour, therefore, to ensure that their activities fit satisfactorily into the technological policies and plans of the host countries, and contribute to the development of national scientific and technological potential, including the establishment and improvement in host countries of their capacity to innovate. Secondly, the licensors adopt in the course of their business activities practices which permit the rapid diffusion of technologies with due regard to the protection of industrial and intellectual property rights. Thirdly, the licensors endeavour to grant licenses for the use of industrial property rights or to otherwise transfer technology on reasonable terms and conditions.
