A genomic DNA of alkaliphilic bacterium, Micrococcus sp. Y-l, was analysed using the physical mapping method of pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE). Five restriction enzymes of Sspl, Hpal, Xbal, Ndel or EcoRI, which recognize the Adenine-Thymine-rich sequences of genomic DNA, were used for the generation of few (7 to 20) distinctly separate fragments, with average sizes in the range of 200～500 kb. However, the sites for Notl and SfiI, 8 base-recognizing enzymes, were highly frequent. The genome size of this strain was determined to be 4 mega base pairs (Mb) from restriction fragments separated by PFGE. This is the first case of restriction mapping in alkaliphilic bacterium.

This paper tries to suggest one kind of estimation method of compensation for restriction in licenced fisheries caused by a large scale coastal reclamation under Code 62 of the Fisheries Act. To do so, the paper focuses on estimating the restriction rate of licenced fisheries through introducing several new factors for calculating the amount value of compensation, such as the restriction rate of fishing area, the decreasing rate of fishing time and the variation rate of fishing cost. Finally, the paper tries to apply the method to the case of compensation fer fisheries damage at the Incheon coastal area caused by the construction of the base of LNG of 1992.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the elastic effect of deformation and restriction in wearing a support type panty stocking (PS). The study investigated deformation rate in all surface area, deformation rate in local area, length deformation rate, changes in slip and feeling of restriction under the standard laboratory condition. Two healthy adult females in twenties wore four types of PS. The result were as follows : The deformation rate in all surface area was 117 .approx. 132% in wearing support type PS, 157% in wearing mono type PS, due to the intensities of restriction. The deformation rate in local area was in order, course > oblique > wale direction. The largest deformation rate was observed in hip girth. Between the deformation rates in all surface and local areas was a high correlation acknowledged, especially the course direction showed a high correlation. Support type PSs showed more deformation and changes of slip than wool and mono type PS. Especially, changes of slip at the knee appeared greatly. The responses of restriction evaluated from a paired comparison method were in order, JS 2 > KS 4 > KS 9 > KS 5 > KS 1 > KM 3.

The genomes of leptospiral field isolates from Korea belonging to serogroup Icterohaemorrhagiae (21 strains) and serogroup Canicola (1 strain) were analysed and compared by restriction enzyme analysis with EcoRI and HindIII as digesting enzymes. One isolate belonging to serogroup Canicola showed the same pattern as serovar portlandvere. All 21 isolates belonging to serogroup Icterohaemorrhagiae showed almost same patterns as Leptospira serovar lai from China, But with very slight differences 21 isolates could be classified into 8 subtypes and these grouping seems to reflect the differences in epidemiological niche. And also the geographical data consisted with the grouping into 8 subtypes. According to our results, we concluded that the restriction endonuclease analysis of chromosomal DNA will be an accurate and reliable method to compare and classify pathogenic leptospires.

Numerical identification was aplied for Streptomyces sp.264, an isolate producing a new restriction endonuclease Sdi I. The restriction enzyme would appear to be an isoschisomer of Xho I. Fifty taxonomic unit characters were tested and the data obtained were analyzed numerically by using the TAXON program. The isolate was identified to be the major cluster 19 of Streptomyces and best matched to S. diastatochromogenes. It was, therefore, concluded that the isolate was identified to be a member of Streptomyces diastatochromogenes.

The clinical isolate Staphylococcus aureus SA2 had four kinds of plasmids and was resistant to ampicillin, chloramphenicol, clindamycin, erythromycin, gentamicin, kanamycin, methicillin, streptomycin, tetracycline and tobramycin. Transformation experiment demonstrated that 4.44 kb plasmid(pKH6) encoded resistance to tetracycline. The cleavage map of pKH6 was determined by restriction enzyme mapping techniques. The cleavage map is given for EcoRV, HindIII, HpaI, HpaII, KpnI and Xbal. Restriction endonucleases BamHl, BglI, BGIII, BstEII, EcoRI, HaellI, PstI, PvuII, SalI, Smal, and Xhol have no site on this plasmid. The restriction map revealed extensive structural homology between pKH6 and pT181.

I argue that Definiteness Effect (DE) should include Indefiniteness Restriction (IR) as well as Definiteness Restriction (DR). DR is exhibited by existential constructions, predicate nominals, inalienable possession constructions, and verbs with semantic features like 〔((CAUSE TO) COME TO) EXIST〕. IR is caused by some existence presupposition of aspectual adverbs, aspectual verbs, repetitives, and topic markers. The environments for DR and IR determine the (in)definiteness of Korean bare noun phrases which otherwise can be used either way. The neutralization of DR is also induced by focus which imposes a certain amount of structure on the event quantification. Van der Sandt's (1992) Presuppositions-as- Anaphora-Theory is effectively used to account for those examples from DR, ID, and the neutralization of BR.

Pneumatic System has been mainly used as main equipment for actuation and control of fluid force in manufacturing industry. For velocity control of piston, meter-out restriction method is used in many cases. In this systems, meter-out restriction method is adopted for analysing the Dynamic Charging and Discharging Process which is Variable Volume Chamber. Experiments has been conducted for different supply pressure condition. As a experimental result, charge side chamber pressure rises to supply pressure rapidily and discharge side chamber pressure decreases. Also, when the air in the cylinder is discharged, tempdrature of air decreases steeply. Restriction of the Cylinder sometimes freeze and it dose not function. The result will be useful for the analysis of pneumatic system.

유해물질 제한지침(Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive, RoHS)로 알려진 특정 유해물질 사용에 관한 규제는 2003년 2월 유럽 연합에서 시행되었다. RoHS는 2006년 7월 1일부터 효력을 발휘하며 이를 위해서는 유럽연합 소속국가에서 법령을 제정하여야 한다. 이 지침은 다양한 전기전자기기의 제조에 있어서 6가지 유해물질의 사용을 제한한다. 이것은 대량 발생하고 있는 유해한 전자기기 폐기물 문제를 해결하기 위해 발의된 법안의 일부이며, 전자제품 재활용에 관한 폐전자기기처리지침(Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment directive, WEEE)과 밀접한 관계가 있다.
