  • In this study, we intend to integrate the database(DB) method into one logical structure that is related to damage such as cause and type of damages occurring in the DMZ area. We divided the DMZ members into two types, which are classified into qualitative and quantitative aspects based on the current status survey for three years as a study of database construction, So that the actual data can be utilized in future restoration. The database construction through each restoration direction regarding the type of DMZ corruption is as follows. First, we recognized the necessity of restoration of the damaged area of the DMZ, and approached it as a plan to select the damaged mark. Second, DMZ database reconstruction can be used as a restoration of damages, suggesting more information and restoration type through building an ecological database for education and research. Third, in order to maintain and restore restoration of damaged areas continuously at the national level, it is necessary to institutionalize guidelines for reasonable internal restoration in the national level as data that can be credited externally and can be acknowledged as the latest data.

  • Restoration of severly damaged teeth after endodontic treatment had been an interest to many dentists, and it is a fact that there have been lots of studies about it. In these days, although we have used Para-Post, pins, threaded steel post, cast gold post and core, and so on, as a method of restoration frequently, it has been in controversy with the influence of them on the teeth and surrounding periodontal tissue. In this study, we assume that the crown of the upper incisor have severly damaged, so, after the root canal therapy, 4 types of restoration had been carried out; 1) coronal-radicular amalgam restoration, 2) after setting up the Para-Post, restore with composite resin core only, 3) after setting up the Para-Post; restore with amalgam core, then cover with the PPM crown 4) after setting up the Para-Post, restore with composite core, then cover with the PPM crown. After restoration, in order to observe the concentration of stress at internal portion of the teeth and the sourrounding periodontal tissue, developing a 2-dimensional finite element model of labiopalatal section, then loading forces from 3 direction - direction of 45 degrees from lingual side near the incisal edge, horizontal direction from labial height of contour, vertical direction at the incisal edge-were applied. The analyzed results were as follows: 1. Stress of the normal central incisor was concentrated on the dentin aroundpulp chamber, labiocervical portion of a tooth and root apex, but with the alveolar bone, in the case of load from the direction of 45 degrees from lingual side near the incisal edge showed remarkable concentration of stress: 2. Coronal-radicular amalgam technique -showed less concentration of stress on the root and surrounding periodontal tissue than the restoration with the Para-Post. 3. The von Mises equivalent stress on the Para-Post showed maximum value at root-core junction rather than both ends and model with PPM restoration with amalgam core showed the least concentration of stress. Only the force from horizontal direction showed large shear stress on internal portion of the root, root apex and alveolar bone. 4. PPM crown with composite core rarely showed the concentration of stress on root and periodontal tissue. 5. As for alveolar bone, remarkable shear stress was concentrated on labial and palatal side by horizontal load.

  • The purpose of this study is to derive the actually applicable directions and measures for conservation and restoration according to biotope types. Recently biotope project-installing eco-river, restoring damaged area, protecting habitate for flora and fauna- is processed according to being interested in making and restoring the biotope. But it is lack of study to estimate and systematize which biotope preserve and restore primary. For this purpose, the direction and measures of conservation and restoration be applicable to actuality are drafted by a review on the preceded case studies until now at the inside and outside of the country. And then this study proposed the concept, direction and measures for the effective systematic biotope management through continual feed back such as field applications in selected case study areas and consultations. First, the applicable directions and measures for conservation and restoration according to biotope types is suggested with the 'conservation' divided into two parts; protection and maintenance, the 'restoration', and the 'enhancement' divided into two parts; improvement and creation. Second, for the effective biotope management, the biotope types are classified into urban type, agricultural types and natural types according to the naturalness and dominant landscape. However, this study suggests that the direction and measures suitable to the regional conditions should be reviewed enough and selected and also the detail measures should be supplemented with the foundation of directions and measures for biotope conservation and management proposed in this study because the biotope management should consider regional characteristics.

  • Throughout the world, interest in issues relevant to energy, resources, environment, etc, is ever soaring. Therefore, the restoration of modern architecture that fulfilled its epochal function is working as a cultural, historic medium. In addition, it also plays its role in the side of environmental approach and so on. Moreover, the museum, which was only used for the possession of art collections and exhibition purposes, is currently expanding its scale and range as the center of culture and education. Also in reality, with the use of various programs, it is globally pursuing urban vitalizations. This study looks at the meaning of modem architecture restoration as well as its relationship with urban area. Furthermore, the purpose of this study is to look for design method's direction by finding the relevance between modem architecture restoration and museum during the restoration. This study is based on transformation and preservation scale during the restoration of modern architecture. It analyzed plane and design direction. Additionally, this study analyzed the architectural and regional effect caused by restoration. As a result, in accordance with the direction of museum and the usage, scale, structure as well as superficial aging condition of previous architecture, it shows difference in design methods in the process of restoration. The exterior of architecture was restored and preserved to its original form in order to show the symbolical form through historical value. This is essential to the modern museum. On the other hand, the interior of architecture put more value on utilization concept that its preservation and thus was restored accordingly. However, in all the cases, previous architecture were commonly used and even when alterations and additions were made due to aging and their change in usage, they were restored in a way that preserved and harmonized previous architecture. If the design method for restoration of modern architecture selects the restoration method by considering problems related to location, building value, structure, if it is studied from various angles and is restored after considering its usage as a museum, then we will be able to generate cultural and historical synergy effect. Furthermore, apart from architecture, it will have great impact on urban vitalizations.

  • To achieve carbon neutrality and restore the national environment, there is growing interest in policies to transform national land areas into green space, such as expanding nature-based solutions, increasing biodiversity, and improving ecosystem service functions. In addition to complying with international agreements such as the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Convention on Biological Diversity, it is necessary to expand green spaces to achieve the 2050 Carbon Neutrality goal, which can be achieved by restoring the damaged land in an ecological way. However, it is challenging to implement green restoration in a systematic and active way due to conflicts of interest among landowners and lack of institutional support and advanced technology. Therefore, this study aims to develop a strategy to expand green restoration and implement it smoothly and systematically. This study examined the current status of green restoration in South Korea by investigating green restoration laws and systems and overseas trends, and by surveying the perceptions of 1,000 people selected from a pool of the public. The results of this study show that it is difficult to implement the green restoration efficiently because the laws related to restoration are scattered. According to the relevant legal plans, the perception and direction of restoration is to pursue a sustainable national land environment, allow people to benefit from nature, improve the quality of life, and nurture related industries and human resources. In the international community, it is mentioned that green restoration contributes to achieving the 2050 Carbon Neutrality goal, revitalizing green industries, developing and applying advanced technologies, maintaining consistency in restoration-related policies, expanding citizens' access to green spaces, and adopting nature-based solutions. Both experts and the public are aware of the seriousness of the damage to the natural environment and prefer restoration with human use rather than focusing on natural recovery. It is expected that this study will contribute to the future direction of green restoration and the implementation of tasks for the sustainable restoration of the national land environment and the zero-carbon era.
