The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between the nature of controlling shareholders and corporate anti-corruption practice disclosure (ACPD) as well as the mediating role of political background of the chairman or CEO of the firm on the relationship between the two. The content analysis was conducted to extract ACPD from standalone corporate social responsibility reports (CSRR) of 703 China's A-share listed companies. A dummy variable was constructed according to whether a firm disclosed ACPD or not. Logistic regression analysis was used then. Results show that the nature of controlling shareholders has a significant impact on corporate ACPD, with central enterprises disclosing the most frequently, local state-owned enterprises the second and private enterprises the least. Political background of the chairman or CEO has a negative impact on corporate ACPD of state-owned enterprises. These findings have some useful insights in understanding the rent-seeking behavior and information disclosure behavior of corporates in emerging markets. In order to curb the serious corruption problem which is commonplace in developing countries like China, the government should exert certain pressure to strengthen the supervision of information disclosure of listed firms and improve information transparency.
This study examines the degrees of criminal investigators' job satisfaction and organizational commitment and investigates which factors determine the variations in them. In the first step of analysis, independent variables of criminal investigators' job satisfaction consist of work itself, achievement, responsibility, safety, stability, interpersonal relations, recognition, supervision, and opportunity of growth. In the second step, job satisfaction is a mediating variable and organizational commitment is a defendant variable. Organizational commitment is classified into three types - "affective", "continuance" and "normative". According to the structural equation model analysis, responsibility has a great influence on job satisfaction, and job satisfaction affects affective commitment and continuance commitment. This study suggests that job satisfaction should be increased to improve criminal investigators' organizational commitment. And responsibility is necessary for the improvement of job satisfaction. Despite the professional detective system operating in Korea since January 1, 2005, the level of criminal investigators' recognitions of safety, stability and opportunity of growth turn out to be low. Based on these findings, this study presents four ways to reform measures which are listed below. First, to improve a! n economical circumstance of criminal investigators, any expense associated with criminal investigation should be paid by organizations. Second, to improve safety of criminal investigators, it is necessary to develop and supply enough police equipments. Third, criminal investigators' working hours should be shorten. Fourth, to improve criminal investigators' responsibilities, criminal investigators should be allowed to conduct criminal investigation independently from the prosecution.

The analysis on the international safety management code (ISM Code) and case of foreign national safety management for fishing vessel was conducted to serve as a basic data on the introduction of safety management system (SMS) for a deep-sea fishing vessel in Korea. As a result, Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) has managed operations of SMS in the maritime rules according to the Maritime Transport Act since 1994. MNZ underwent a safe ship management (SSM), which includes elements applied to shipping companies, ship and verification of the ISM Code for ships, except ISM Code application since 1998. In 2014 the introduction of the advanced maritime operator safety system (MOSS) superior to the SSM by MNZ was promoted actively switch and enforcement. Meanwhile, the safe operation manual of Japanese fishing vessel includes large part of the contents of the ISM Code, and voluntary implementation to fit the realities of the fishing vessel. The law application of SMS for a deep-sea fishing vessel after the newly establishment of the Ocean Industry Development Act to SMS would be advantageous to the schematic management, supervision, maintenance and application and, in 2016 from the implementation of maritime safety supervisor for a deep-sea fishing vessel that the management and supervision through the fishing vessel will be the efficient operation. The configuration of the safety management system in a deep-sea fishing vessel should be included as an element of ISM Code. The introduction of such a system is gradually applicable, such as nationality overseas vessel case study of the ISM Code, and vessels that are excluded from the application will be implemented as autonomous as Japan. The results are expected to contribute to sustainable development in the ocean industry safety culture spread throughout the ocean industry through the enhancement of safety fishing competency and safety management responsibility of fisher.
This study was performed to investigate and analyze technology teachers' and other subject teachers' satisfactions with motivation-hygiene factors in order to provide informations for their job motivation at secondary schools. The data were collected from 216 technology teachers and other subject teachers in Gwangju City and Chon-nam Province and analyzed and tested at p<.05 or more by employing t-test through SPSS program. The average satisfaction levels of the teachers were M = 3.85 with compounded motivation factors and M = 3.38 with compounded hygiene factors. The former is higher the latter. In the satisfaction levels of individual factors responsibility was first, work itself second, achievement third, and human relation, job safety, growth opportunity, recognition, supervision skill subsequently went down. The satisfaction levels of these factors were higher than neutral(M = 3.00). On the other hand, the satisfaction levels of work environment and payment were a little lower than neutral. Technology teachers were more satisfied than other subject teachers with responsibility and human relation factors among 10 motivation and hygiene factors. They had more positive perception than the others with these two. Generally, these teachers groups presented almost the equal satisfaction level with motivation and hygiene factors. The data were collected from technology teachers and other subject teachers in Gwangju City and Chon-nam Province and thus these might not be applicable to teachers in other cities and provinces.

The revised security industry law revised 17 provisions among 31 provisions in order to root out the violent event. The main contents of the revised security industry law is the intensitfication of the required condition of permission, intensitfication of the obligation, management strengthening of the public resentment of group field, official, reason of expansion of the expenses instructor and guard, dress and equipment, vehicle, intensitfication of the managing director, intensitfication of the punishment, and etc. However, there is the problem including the putting under an obligation of the arrangement new appointment education, cause provider punishment of the service company violence, awareness of the police to the security company, excessive regulation, intensification of punishment problem, supervision power intensitfication of the revised security industry law is excessive the police, and etc. The individual responsibility education completion method and public resentment of group field in addition to is thought in order to solve this that exclusion of the prior education obligation, revision of the security industry law, burden on tax payers of the extra charge, punishment of the violence request contract trader, introduction of the guard qualification certificate system, and etc. are needed.

The purposes of this study are to survey unfair aspects of specific provisions in the construction contract, and to suggest counterplans and institutional reformations. The research method of this study includes judicial precedent analysis and a questionnaire survey, The results of this study are as follows: 1) the main problems of unfair specific provisions are payment condition, shifting of the responsibility and adjustment in the contract sum. 2) counterplans ate suggested according to the construction phase : bid, construction and completion phase. 3) institutional reformations include firming up regulations, supervision, invigoration of claim, development of variation guideline, and so on.
In this research, in order to more concretely define the concept of the previously vaguely defined fire road, the authors propose new terminology called disaster prevention routes. These are defined as predefined access routes for the quick response to disaster areas. For this, the authors suggest selection techniques for disaster prevention routes considering characteristics of fire trucks and selected areas. The paper also includes legally-based ideas for the executive departments with exclusive responsibility for continuous management and supervision of disaster response. In addition, a case study is performed with a virtual scenario including the outbreak of fire in one borough of Seoul. This case study shows that the damage can be decreased by prompt access of fire trucks. The establishment of predefined access routes to disaster areas can help to protect citizens with more rapid response by emergency crews. Indirect benefits also include reduced congestion of roads through the prohibition of parking and stopping on the chosen roads.
This study was done in order to analyze the factors which influenced the performance level of urban family planning health personnels' task. Interview survey was done during the period May, 1989. Interviewee were 130 family planning health personnels among total of 140 family planning health personnels in Seoul metropolitan city area. The internal consistency reliability was tested by Cronbach’s Alpha and the construct validity of the survey tool was tested by Factor analysis. Multiple stepwise regression analysis was used to identify major factors influenced to perform family planning health personnels' task. The results of this study were summarized as follows: 1. The internal consistency reliability was high and very significant (Cronbach's Alphs=0.8445, p<0.0000). 2. The construct validity was high and very significant. This analysis was contained 5 factors; registering and keeping of eligible woman records, health educating for FP & MCH, referral for vasectomy and tubal ligation and loop, supplying contraceptive appliances, sending moved-out eligible woman records. 3. Among a total of 15 contents of their functions recording of daily report and monthly report (76.2%), classifying and keeping of records(66.2%), registering of eligible woman records(60.85ti), distribution of leaflets and pamplets(54.6%), counselling & supervision about family planning(53.8%) were actively performed. Sending moved-out eligible woman records(60.8%), health education for community people(49.2%), referring contraceptors' side-effects were poorly performed. 4. The factors which influenced the performance level of urban family planning health personnels' function were age, marital status, educational level, certification, number of residents, number of eligible women, job car-eer, work responsibility, job satisfaction knowledge, position, cooperation of community people, cooperation of Dong Office, cooperation of Health Center. These 14 variables were able to explain job function from 21.4% of follow-up care of contraceptor to 9.1% of classifying & keeping of eligible woman records.
Background: The main purpose of this study was to survey the education and training of certified gynecologic oncologists and fellows in Thailand. A secondary objective was to study the problems in fellowship training regarding palliative care for gynecologic cancer patients. Materials and Methods: A descriptive study was conducted by sending a questionnaire regarding palliative care education to all certified gynecologic oncologists and gynecologic oncology fellows in Thailand. The contents of the survey included fellowship training experience, caring for the dying, patient preparation, attitudes and respondent characteristics. Statistics were analyzed by percentage, mean and standard deviation and chi-square. Results: One hundred seventy completed questionnaires were returned; the response rate was 66%. Most certified gynecologic oncologists and fellows in gynecologic oncology have a positive attitude towards palliative care education, and agree that "psychological distress can result in severe physical suffering". It was found that the curriculum of gynecologic oncology fellowship training equally emphasizes three aspects, namely managing post-operative complications, managing a patient at the end of life and managing a patient with gynecologic oncology. As for experiential training during the fellowship of gynecologic oncology, education regarding breaking bad news, discussion about goals of care and procedures for symptoms control were mostly on-the-job training without explicit teaching. In addition, only 42.9 % of respondents were explicitly taught the coping skill for managing their own stress when caring for palliative patients during fellowship training. Most of respondents rated their clinical competency for palliative care in the "moderately well prepared" level, and the lowest score of the competency was the issue of spiritual care. Conclusions: Almost all certified gynecologic oncologists and fellows in gynecologic oncology have a positive attitude towards learning and teaching in palliative care. In this study, some issues were identified for improving palliative care education such as proper training under the supervision of a mentor, teaching how to deal with work stress, competency in spiritual care and attitudes on responsibility for bereavement care.
