Opendata 기반 포항 및 경주지진에 의한 건물손상 평가 (Earthquake Damage Assessment of Buildings Using Opendata in the Pohang and the Gyeongju Earthquakes)

  • Severe earthquakes can cause damage to society both socially and economically. An appropriate initial response can alleviate damage from severe earthquakes. In order to formulate an appropriate initial response, it is necessary to identify damage situations in societies; however, it is difficult to grasp this information immediately after an earthquake event. In this study, an earthquake damage assessment methodology for buildings is proposed for estimating damage situations immediately after severe earthquakes. A response spectrum database is constructed to provide response spectra at arbitrary locations from earthquake measurements immediately after the event. The fragility curves are used to estimate the damage of the buildings. Earthquake damage assessment is performed from the response spectrum database at the building scale to provide enhanced damage condition information. Earthquake damage assessment for Gyeongju city and Pohang city were conducted using the proposed methodology, when an earthquake occurred on September 12, 2016, and November 15, 2017. Results confirm that the proposed earthquake damage assessment effectively represented the earthquake damage situation in the city to decide on an appropriate initial response by providing detailed information at the building scale.

수학교사들의 서술형.논술형 평가에 대한 인식 및 실행 조사 (Mathematics Teachers' Perceptions about and Implementation of Constructed-Response Assessment)

  • 이 연구는 중등학교의 서술형 논술형 평가에 대해 교사들이 갖고 있는 인식과 실제 서술형 논술형 평가를 학교에 어떻게 적용하고 있는지 현황을 파악하기 위한 것이다. 이에 따라 서울특별시와 경기도, 인천에 위치한 중학교의 수학 교사들을(189명) 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 중등 수학 교사들은 서술형 논술형 평가의 주된 목표를 학습 목표에 따른 성취도 측정, 학생의 창의성과 사고력 신장 등으로 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사들은 서술형 논술형 평가의 효과에 대하여 학생들의 수학적 사고력과 문제해결력이 향상될 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 서술형 논술형 평가의 실시 현황은 서술형 논술형 문항의 비율이 수행평가에서는 20%미만, 지필평가에서는 20~40%가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 수학과 서술형 논술형 평가를 학교의 정기고사에서 실시하는 경우가 가장 높은 비율로 나타났다.

Seismic fragility assessment of isolated structures by using stochastic response database

  • The seismic isolation system makes a structure isolated from ground motions to protect the structure from seismic events. Seismic isolation techniques have been implemented in full-scale buildings and bridges because of their simplicity, economic effectiveness, inherent stability and reliability. As for the responses of an isolated structure due to seismic events, it is well known that the most uncertain aspects are the seismic loading itself and structural properties. Due to the randomness of earthquakes and uncertainty of structures, seismic response distributions of an isolated structure are needed when evaluating the seismic fragility assessment (or probabilistic seismic safety assessment) of an isolated structure. Seismic response time histories are useful and often essential elements in its design or evaluation stage. Thus, a large number of non-linear dynamic analyses should be performed to evaluate the seismic performance of an isolated structure. However, it is a monumental task to gather the design or evaluation information of the isolated structure from too many seismic analyses, which is impractical. In this paper, a new methodology that can evaluate the seismic fragility assessment of an isolated structure is proposed by using stochastic response database, which is a device that can estimate the seismic response distributions of an isolated structure without any seismic response analyses. The seismic fragility assessment of the isolated nuclear power plant is performed using the proposed methodology. The proposed methodology is able to evaluate the seismic performance of isolated structures effectively and reduce the computational efforts tremendously.

수학과 서술형 평가에 대한 초·중학교 교사 간의 인식, 실행 및 기대효과에 대한 비교 연구 (A comparison of elementary and middle school mathematics teachers' beliefs and practices in constructed-response assessment)

  • This study examines whether there is discrepancy between elementary and middle school mathematics teachers' beliefs and practices in constructed-response assessment and how their beliefs and practices are interrelated. Analyzing the responses of 212 elementary teachers and 189 middle school mathematics teachers to the questionnaire, we found that there is lack of consistency among elementary and middle school teachers' beliefs, practices, and expected benefits regarding constructed-response assessment. In addition, there was a weak correlation between each group of teachers' beliefs and expected benefits about constructed-response assessment. The results from this study imply that such inconsistency in elementary and middle school teachers' beliefs and practices regarding assessments may determine the effects of constructed-response assessment.

  • 수행평가가 시작된 지 10여년이 지난 현재, 서술형 평가 실시에 대한 초등교사들의 인식과 실태가 어떠한지 조사하기 위하여 서울특별시 소재 11개 지역교육지원청에 소속된 공립 초등학교의 초등 교사 212명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 대부분의 초등 교사들이 수학 교과 서술형 평가가 필요하다고 인식하고 있었으며, 서술형 평가 실시의 목표로는 학습 목표에 근거한 성취도를 정확히 측정하는 것으로 주로 인식하고 있었으며, 교사들이 서술형 평가 문항을 제작할 때 가장 많이 참고하는 자료는 교과서 문제로 나타났다. 문항 제작시 가장 많이 고려하는 사항은 난이도로 나타났다. 서술형 평가의 효과로는 수학적인 사고능력이 뛰어난 학생을 선발할 수 있는 변별력을 들었으며, 서술형 평가 실시에 대하여 교사들이 언급한 문제점으로는 학급당 학생 수가 과다하다는 점과 수학과 서술형 평가 문항개발이 어렵다는 점을 들었다.

스펙트럼 적합 입력지반운동에 의한 면진구조의 응답 특성 (Response of Base Isolation System Subjected to Spectrum Matched Input Ground Motions)

  • Structures in a nuclear power system are designed to be elastic even under an earthquake excitation. However a structural component such as an isolator shows inelastic behavior inherently. For the seismic assessment of nonlinear structures, response history analysis should be performed. In this study, the response of base isolation system was analyzed by response history analysis for the seismic performance assessment. Firstly, several seismic assessment criteria for a nuclear power plant structure were reviewed for the nonlinear response history analysis. Based on these criteria, the spectrum matched ground motion generation method modifying a seed earthquake ground motion time history was adjusted. Using these spectrum matched accelerograms, the distribution of displacement responses of the simplified base isolation system was evaluated. The resulting seismic responses excited by the modified ground motion time histories and the synthesized time history generated by stochastic approach were compared. And the response analysis of the base isolation system considering the different intensities in each orthogonal direction was performed.

  • The fundamental assumption that thresholds exist for noncarcinogenic toxic effects of chemicals is reviewed; this assumption forms the basis for the no-observed-effect level/ safety-factor (NOEL/SF) approach to risk assessment for such effects. The origin and evolution of the NOEL/SF approach are traced, and its limitations are discussed. The recently proposed use of dose-response modeling to estimate a benchmark dose as a replacement for the NOEL is explained. The possibility of expanding dose-response modeling of non carcinogenic effects to include the estimation of assumed thresholds is discussed. A new method for conversion of quantitative toxic responses to a probability scale for risk assessment via dose-response modeling is outlined.

구급대 환자이송과 반응시간의 평가 (Evaluation of patient transportation and response intervals among emergency medical squads)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to present evidence for quality management based on analysis of patient transportation and response intervals among emergency medical squads. Methods: The chi-square test was used to determine whether mental status and patient assessment affected direct medical control and hospital destination. One way analysis of variance was used to compare response intervals depending on mental status and patient assessment using data drawn from 1172 prehospital care reports. Results: There was a statistically significant relationship between mental status and direct medical control (p<.001); there was a statistically significant relationship between patient assessment and hospital destination (p=.011). However, there was no statistically significant relationship between mental status and hospital destination. The interval from arrival at the patient's side to departure from the scene showed a statistically significant difference (p<.001, p<.001), however, it took the longest time (16.8 minutes) in unresponsive patients. It showed a statistically significant difference (p<.001) in the interval from arrival at patient's side to departure from the scene depending on patient assessment; however, it took the longest time (9.6 minutes) in emergency patients. Conclusion: There was call for direct medical control based on patient assessment; however, patient transportation and response intervals were not appropriate.

답지 반응률 분포 곡선을 통한 국가수준 학업성취도 과학 평가 문항 특성 분석 (Analysis of the Characteristics of National Assessment of Educational Achievement (NAEA) Items for Science Subject through the use of Option Response Rate Distribution Curve)

  • 국가 수준의 표준화된 학업 성취도 평가 결과를 분석하여 학생들의 성취 수준을 파악하고 이를 교육정책 수립이나 교수활동 개선에 반영하는 과정은 교육의 책무성으로 중요한 부분이다. 본 연구에서는 과학과 국가 수준 학업 성취도 평가 결과를 분석하고, 답지 반응률 분포 곡선을 활용하여 평가 문항의 특성을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2010년부터 2013년까지 시행된 과학과 성취도 평가 결과를 성취 수준에 따라 분석하였으며, 성취도 점수에 따른 특정 문항의 정오답 반응률을 토대로 최적 곡선을 추정한 그래프인 답지 반응률 분포 곡선을 활용하여 선다형 평가 문항 112개의 정답지와 오답지 반응률 곡선의 유형을 분류하고, 유형별 문항 특성을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 정답지는 5가지 유형(S자형, J자형, 직선형, F자형, 계단형)으로 분류하였고, 오답지는 4가지 유형(보통형, 평지형, 산지형, 상승형)으로 분류하였다. S자형의 정답지 반응 곡선과 보통형의 오답지 반응 곡선이 조합인 문항이 가장 많았으며, 성취 수준에 따라 학생들을 변별하는데 적절한 문항인 것으로 분석되었다. 또한, 정답 반응률 분포와 오답 반응률 분포가 서로 연관되는 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 토대로 교수 학습, 교실 평가 등에서 함의를 논의하였다.
