연소 배관 유동장의 실시간 온도, 농도 측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Real-Time Temperature and Concentration Measurement of Combustion Pipe Flow Field)

  • Pipe failure due to thermal fatigue and environmental regulations are increasing the importance of pipe monitoring systems in industrial plants. Since most pipe monitoring systems are focus on external crack inspected, it is necessary to temperature and concentration measuring monitoring system inside the pipe. These systems have spatial uncertainty due to sample inspection by one-point measurement. In addition, real-time measurement is not possible due to the limitation of time delay due to contact measurement. In this study, CT-TDLAS (Computed tomography-Tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy) apply to overcome the limitations of existing methods. Lasers exhibiting an absorption response at a wavelength of 1395 nm were arranged in a lattice pattern on measuring cell. It showed that the inside of the pipe changed to an unstable combustion state over time.

비디오게임의 유희적공포에 대한 플레이어의 반응연구 (A study on Amusement Fear of Video Game and Player's Response)

  • 본 논문에서는 정성적, 정량적 측정을 통한 게임 감성 유희(遊戱)요소 도출을 목적으로, 공포게임의 '공포'를 '유희적 공포'라 보고 로제카이와의 놀이이론에 근거하여 분석한 후, 이를 바탕으로 공포게임 내 '유희적 공포요소'를 4가지로 분류했다. 연구자는 플레이어의 반응을 통해 이를 검증하기 위해 실증적 실험을 수행하였는데, 실험은 공포게임을 플레이 하는 동안 심박계를 통해서 각 실험자들의 심박을 측정하고 이를 촬영한 비디오 데이타를 분석하여 유희적 공포요소가 심리적, 생리적인 영향을 줄 것이라 예측된 지점을 공포지점(fear point)이라 명명하였으며, 이 지점에서 측정된 심박이 평상시 평균심박 및 실험 중 평균심박과 통계적으로 유의한 차가 있는지 알아보고 설문을 통한 플레이어의 주관적 데이타를 첨부하여 심박수와의 통계적인 상관관계를 알아보았다. 연구 결과, 공포지점에서 실험자들의 심박이 평상시 심박 및 실험 중 평균심박 보다 통계적으로 유의미하게 상승됨을 증명했으며, 주관적 데이터와도 상관관계가 높음을 보여주었다. 또한 게임 내용 분석결과 본 연구에서 주장하는 유희적 공포요소가 해당 지점에서 실험자들의 심리, 생리적 반응에 주요한 역할을 하였음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 게임내 유희적 요소로서의 공포요소를 이론적인 방법과 실증적인 방법을 통해 검증하고 앞으로의 게임 제작 및 기획에 도움이 되는 기준을 제시할 수 있었다.

지하철 운행에 따른 진동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Vibration Induced by Subway Operation)

  • In this paper the characteristics of vibration induced by subway trains running on track is discussed. The quantitative prediction of the vibration level and the countermeasure for reduction of necessary, is of importance for the better environment. It was made the constructed Bundang line as first step with the modified Young-Dan type to basis on the Japanese Young-Dan type. In this paper it was measured and analyzed to two region ($ \circled1$Susuh-Bokjung. $ \circled2$Chorim-Suhyun region) of this. at present, operational Bundang line when averaging velocity of train is 60 (km/h). As the response characteristics of frequency Induced by subway operation, it was confirmed that frequency band of neighborhood of 30~80 Hz in generally dominant. Also to assess the quantitative nitration as response level to be measured for each point of two region in subway operation, the vibrational response level was measured at the state to be not subway operation. And the level was approximately $\fraction one-fifth~\fraction one-ten$ level comparing to subway operation.

  • The paper describes an approach for estimating unsteady flow rate through oil hydraulic pipelines and components in real time. Recently we have proposed following three unsteady flow rate measurement approaches; RIFM, QIFM and TPFM, in which hydraulic pipeline dynamics are made use of. In this paper, we firstly propose new approaches, i.e, an interpolation and an extrapolation methods in combination with RIFM and TPFM. In the interpolation method, unsteady flow rate at the arbitrary internal location along the pipeline between two points for measuring the two point pressure can be estimated. In this paper, the accuracy and dynamic response of interpolation method are mainly experimentally investigated in detail.

  • A noise transfer function(NTF) is the frequency response function between an input force applied to an exterior point of a vehicle body and the resultant interior sound pressure usually measured at the driver's ear position. It represents the measure of noise sensitivity for the output force transmitted to the joints between the body and chassis. The principle of vibro-acoustic reciprocity is often utilized in the measurement of NTF. One difficulty in using the volume source is that most of the previously proposed methods require the knowledge of the volume velocity of the acoustic source in advance. A new method proposed in the present work does not require any calculation related with the volume velocity of the acoustic source, but still yields even more accurate results both in the amplitude and phase of the NTF. In the present work, the new method is applied to obtain NTF data for a midsize sedan.

  • The purpose of this study is to measure the compression temperature in cylinder by using the fine thermocouple. As for using the thermocouple, it's response time delay should be regarded, even if it is a fine one. So, the output of thermocouple needs some compensation. The compensation circuit, which consists of a differential and an adding circuit is used for the compensate the time lag. And the time constant of the compensation circuit is determined the time between the TDC and the maximum point of the thermocouple output. Using this compensation circuit, the compression temperature is investigated of the cylinder in the diesel engine.

승용차의 진동해석모델 개발 (Development of the Vibration Analysis Model of Passenger Car)

  • According to the developments of automobile industry, the technology to enhance noise, vibration and harshness(NVH) performance has been studying in a point of view of ride comfort and quietness. Especially the use of computer aided engineering(CAE) simulation tools such as finite element(FE) analysis allows engineers to efficiently evaluate NVH performance. This paper presents the method to bulid FE models for full vehicle including engine, transmission. suspension and steering system, also to evaluate vibration performance of full vehicle. The full vehicle model, which is discussed, is correlated with the result of the frequency response measurement in the case of the car shake performance for high speed driving.

과도액정 기법을 이용한 오목표면 경사각도에 따른 난류 충돌 제트의 열전달 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Heat Transfer Characteristics of Turbulent Round Jet Impinge on the Inclined Concave Surface Using Transient Liquid Crystal Method)

  • The effects of concave hemispherical surface with inclined angle on the local heat transfer from a turbulent round jet impinging were experimentally investigated using transient liquid crystal method. This method suddenly exposes a preheated wall to an impinging jet and then the video system records the response of liquid crystals for the measurement of the surface temperature. The Reynolds numbers were used 11000, 23000 and 50000, nozzle-to-surface distance ratio from 2 to 10 and the surface angles $\alpha=0^{\circ},\;15^{\circ},\;30^{\circ}\;and\;40^{\circ}$. Correlations of the stagnation point Nusselt number according to Reynolds number, jet-to-surface distance ratio and dimensionless surface angle are investigated. In the stagnation point, in term of $Re^n$, n ranges from 0.43 in case of $2{\leq}L/d\leq6$ to 0.45 in case of $6. The maximum Nusselt number occurs in the direction of upstream. The displacement of the maximum Nusselt number from the stagnation point increases with increasing surface angle or decreasing nozzle-to-surface distance. The maximum displacement is about 0.7 times of the jet nozzle diameter.

Reference Point Projection Method for Improved Dynamics of Solar Array Hardware Emulation

  • Solar array simulator (SAS) is a special DC power supply that regulates the output voltage or current to emulate characteristics of photovoltaic (PV) panels. Especially, the control of SAS is a challenging task due to the nonlinearity in the output curve, which is dependent on irradiance as well as temperature and is determined by panel materials. Conventionally, both current-mode control and voltage-mode control should be alternated by partitioning the operating curve into multiple sections, which is not only for the measurement noise problem with the feedback sensing but also for the control stability issue near the maximum power point. However, the occurrence of transition among different controllers may deteriorate the overall performance. To eliminate the mode transitions, a novel single controller scheme has been introduced in this paper, where the reference operating projection technique enables simple, smooth and numerically stable control. Theoretical consideration on the loop stability issue is discussed and the performance is verified experimentally for the emulation of a PV panel data in view of stability and response speed.

Damage localization and quantification in beams from slope discontinuities in static deflections

  • This paper presents a flexibility based method for damage identification from static measurements in beam-type structures. The response of the beam at the Damaged State is decomposed into the response at the Reference State plus the response at an Incremental State, which represents the effect of damage. The damage is localized by detecting slope discontinuities in the deflection of the structure at the Incremental State. A denoising filtering technique is applied to reduce the effect of experimental noise. The extent of the damage is estimated through comparing the experimental flexural stiffness of the damaged cross-sections with the corresponding values provided by analytical models of cracked beams. The paper illustrates the method by showing a numerical example with two cracks and an experimental case study of a simply supported steel beam with one artificially introduced notch type crack at three damage levels. A Digital Image Correlation system was used to accurately measure the deflections of the beam at a dense measurement grid under a set of point loads. The results indicate that the method can successfully detect and quantify a small damage from the experimental data.
