In this study, the relationship between military pilot's spatial ability and unusual attitude recovery was investigate. MRT(Mental Rotation Test) was measured with spatial ability whereas recovery time and error rates were mearsured with respect to 11 unusual attitudes. Eight fighter pilots and eight rear cockpit pilots of F-4E participated in this study. The results showed that MRT response time was significantly correlated with unusual attitude recovery time. The regression equation showed that unusual attitude recovery time was linearly related to MRT response time and could be explained by MRT response time more than 66%. In conclusion, it is recommended that a training is needed to improve the mental rotation ability in a visually restricted environments during maneuvering.
This paper is about the evaluation of stress response and recovery using biosignals and fuzzy theory. We caused mental stress by means of a coin-stacking task. During the experiment, 4 kinds of biosignals, including frontalis EMG, ECG, peripheral skin temperature and skin conductance level, were acquired. Then, the degree of stress was assessed by synthetically those signals using fuzzy inference. From the fuzzy inference result, the parameters (amount of physiological change / amount of imposed stress) and (time to 25% recovery), which represent response and recovery respectively, were derived. We made a two-dimensional point graph using the response parameter as an abscissa and the recovery parameter as an ordinate for each subject.

Human emotion has been tried to be recognized by physiological measurements in developing emotion machine enabling to understand and react to user's emotion. This study is to find the time-dependent physiological measurements and their variation characteristics for discriminating emotions according to dimensional emotion model. Ten university students were asked to watch sixteen prepared images to evoke different emotions. Their subjective emotions and autonomic nervous responses such as ECG (electrocardiogram), PPG (photoplethysmogram), GSR (Galvanic skin response), RSP (respiration), and SKT(skin temperature) were measured during experiment. And these responses were analyzed into HR(Heart Rate), Respiration Rate, GSR amplitude average, SKT amplitude average, PPG amplitude, and PTT(Pulse Transition Time). TDPs(Time dependent parameters) defined as the delay, the activation, the half recovery and the full recovery of respective physiological signal in this study have been determined and statistically compared between variations from different emotions. The significant tendencies in TDP were shown between emotions. Therefore, TDP may provide useful measurements with emotion recognition.

Domestic wireless network environment is changing rapidly while adapting to meet service requirements of users and growth of market. As a result, reliable data transmission using TCP is also expected to increase. Since TCP assumes that it is used in wired networt TCP suffers significant performance degradation over wireless network where packet losses are not always result of network congestion. Especially RTO imposes a great performance degradation of TCP. In this paper, we propose DAC$^{+}$ and EFR in order to prevent performance degradation by quickly detecting and recovering loss without RTO during fast recovery. Compared with TCP NewReno, proposed scheme shows improvements in steady-state in terms of higher fast recovery Probability and reduced response time.
File integrity checking is the most reliable method to examine integrity and stability of system resources. It is required to examine the whole data whenever auditing system's integrity, and its process and result depends on administrator's experience and ability. Therefore the existing method is not appropriate to intrusion response and recovery systems, which require a fast response time. Moreover file integrity checking is able to collect information about the damaged resources, without information about the person who generated the action, which would be very useful for intrusion isolation. In this paper, we propose rtIntegrit, which combines system call auditing functions, it is called Syswatcher, with file integrity checking. The rtlntegrit can detect many activities on files or file system in real-time by combining with Syswatcher. The Syswatcher audit file I/O relative system call that is specified on configuration. And it can be easily cooperated with intrusion response and recovery systems since it generates assessment data in the standard IDMEF format.

This note proposes vibration-free motor control through modified LQG/LTR methodology. A conventional LQG/LTR method is a design tool in the frequency domain. However, unlike the conventional one, the proposed one is a time response based design method. This feature is firstly designed by parameterized settling time control gain through the target loop design procedure and the feature is secondly realized by loop transfer recovery. In order to show convergence to the target loop transfer functions, asymptotic behaviors of the open and the closed loop transfer functions are shown. At the conclusion, it is verified that the proposed method is robustly stable to parametric uncertainties through ${\mu}$-plot.

Background: Several types of receptors are found at neuromuscular presynaptic membranes. Presynaptic inhibitory $A_1$ and facilitatory $A_{2A}$ receptors mediate different modulatory functions on acetylcholine release. This study investigated whether adenosine $A_1$ receptor agonist contributes to the first twitch tension (T1) of train-of-four (TOF) stimulation depression and TOF fade during rocuronium-induced neuromuscular blockade, and sugammadex-induced recovery. Methods: Phrenic nerve-diaphragm tissues were obtained from 30 adult Sprague-Dawley rats. Each tissue specimen was randomly allocated to either control group or 2-chloroadenosine (CADO, $10{\mu}M$) group. One hour of reaction time was allowed before initiating main experimental data collection. Loading and boost doses of rocuronium were sequentially administered until > 95% depression of the T1 was achieved. After confirming that there was no T1 twitch tension response, 15 min of resting time was allowed, after which sugammadex was administered. Recovery profiles (T1, TOF ratio [TOFR], and recovery index) were collected for 1 h and compared between groups. Results: There were statistically significant differences on amount of rocuronium (actually used during experiment), TOFR changes during concentration-response of rocuronium (P = 0.04), and recovery profiles (P < 0.01) of CADO group comparing with the control group. However, at the initial phase of this experiment, dose-response of rocuronium in each group demonstrated no statistically significant differences (P = 0.12). Conclusions: The adenosine $A_1$ receptor agonist (CADO) influenced the TOFR and the recovery profile. After activating adenosine receptor, sugammadex-induced recovery from rocuronium-induced neuromuscular block was delayed.
Storage system often applies erasure codes to protect against disk failure and ensure system reliability and availability. Liberation code that is a type of coding scheme has been widely used in many storage systems because its encoding and modifying operations are efficient. However, it cannot effectively achieve fast recovery from single disk failure in storage systems, and has great influence on recovery performance as well as response time of client requests. To solve this problem, in this paper, we present HRSF, a Hybrid Recovery method for solving Single disk Failure. We present the optimal algorithm to accelerate failure recovery process. Theoretical analysis proves that our scheme consumes approximately 25% less amount of data read than the conventional method. In the evaluation, we perform extensive experiments by setting different number of disks and chunk sizes. The results show that HRSF outperforms conventional method in terms of the amount of data read and failure recovery time.
In order to investigate experimentally the effects of $So{\breve{u}}m$-In Bojungikit'ang and Dong-Won Bojungikit'ang on Yang-Insufficient syndrome(陽虛證) induced by Hydrocortisone acetate(HA) in experimental animals(Mice and Rats), the author experimented with various activities. Body temperature(BT), Body weight(BW), Exercise time, Cyclic-AMP, the Ra's Hair condition was measured. The results obtained are as follows : 1. In body temperature, the Dong-Won Bojungiki'ang treated group was increased significantly and the $So{\breve{u}}m$-In Bojungikit'ang treated group showed no significance. 2. In body weight, the $So{\breve{u}}m$-In Bojungikit'ang treated group had increased significantly and the Dong-Won Bojungikit'ang treated group showed no significance and there was a significant difference between the $So{\breve{u}}m$-In Bojungikit'ang and the Dong-Won Bojungikit'ang. 3. In exercise time. the $So{\breve{u}}m$-In Bojungikit'ang and the Dong-Won Bojungikit'ang treated groups were significantly increased. 4. In cyclic AMP, both experimental groups showed increasing tendancy, but showed no significance. 5. In the Rat' s hair condition. the $So{\breve{u}}m$-In Bojungikit'ang showed significance. 6. There was no significant difference between the $So{\breve{u}}m$-In Bojungikit'ang and the Dong-Won Bojungikitang except the body weight. from the above findings. (1) it has been demonstrated thet the $So{\breve{u}}m$-In Bojungikit'ang and Dong-Won Bojungikit'ang groups seem to produce the effecticeness on the recovery from depression of metabolism induced by Bydrocortisone acetate. (2) In body temperature response the Dong-Won Bojungikit'ang had effectiveness during recovery. (3) In body weight response the $So{\breve{u}}m$-In Bojungikit'ang had the effecticeness during recovery. (4) In exercise time. Both experimental group had the effectiveness during recovery. (5) In cyclic AMP response. both experimental group had no effectiveness during recovery. (6) In the Rat's hair condition response the $So{\breve{u}}m$-In Bojungikit'ang group had the effectiveness during recovery. Therefore in is suggested theat the $So{\breve{u}}m$-In Bojungikit'ang and Dong-Won Bojungikit'ang groups had effecticeness during recovery from Yang-Insufficient syndrome more of less.
A basic study for the development of a disk type oil skimmer for a tank lorry, compares via experiments to the oil recovery differences by material between the existing oil skimmer disk and several discs which oil adhesion are possible. The experiment results in this study are summarized as follows: In all the disks, the mass of recovery of bunker-A oil was greater than light oil. In light oil, there was nearly no differences in the mass of oil recovery by disk material, but in the case of bunker A oil, recovery efficiency showed big differences depending on the disk materials. For light oil, the differences in the mass of oil recovery per unit of operation time from the initial time zone were hardly shown. However, the mass of recovery of bunker-A oil linearly increased from the initial operation time in all the disks and the increase shaped a slow moving trend as time went on; therefore, the mass of oil recovery per unit of operation time showed differences depending on time. This result shows that oil viscosity has an effect on the disk recovery efficiency. When comparing the mass of pure oil recovery and the mass of water recovery in the total mass of recovery by bunker-A oil, there was no difference in the mass of oil recovery between the window-aluminum material disk and the disks consisting of other materials, but the mass of water recovery of the former was relatively very small. This shows the most ideal result in view of oil recovery efficiency that considers the mass of water recovery. In conclusion, it was found that aluminum is the most advantageous as the material for tank lorry oil skimmer disk.
