  • South korea has been developing and managing the complete dimensions, around the rivers to rapid economic growth. In Korea, where water resources are scarce, administration and work are complicated and diversified in the computerization of related facilities and hydrologic data due to the indiscriminate development of river facilities. In general, dividing the water system based on object in remote sensing is relatively accurate in the image with the same spectral characteristics. However, the distinction between the reservoir and the river must be made manually due to the characteristics of remote sensing. Therefore, this study performed three classifications using GIS (Geographic Information System) to classify reservoirs and rivers. For the purpose of accuracy analysis, the land cover map provided by EGIS (Environmental Geographic Information Service) was used to evaluate the accuracy, and the average of 85.63% was found to be 75.40% of rivers, 89.50% of reservoirs, and 92.00% of others.

  • The purpose of this research is to extract spectral reflectance characteristics of concretes through basic experiment on concrete specimens and site experiment on actual concrete structures using a field portable spectrometer and a VNIR hyperspectral sensor. A spectrometer (GER-3700) and a VNIR hyperspectral camera (AisaEagle VNIR Hyperspectral Camera) were utilized for extracting spectral characteristics of concrete specimens. Concretes normally show similar patterns that have correlation above 80%, while the high-strengthened concretes display very different results from the normal-strength concretes. We also made a certain conclusion in the laboratory experiment on concrete specimens that both the spectrometer and the VNIR camera vary in spectral reflectance depending on concrete strengths.

  • Rational function model (RFM) is a universal sensor model for remote sensing image restitution. It is able to substitute for models of all known sensors. In this paper, RFM generation by CCD linear image models is described in detail. A principle of RFM-based 3D reconstruction and its implementation in JX4 DPW is also described. Experiments using IKONOS and SPOT5 images are carried out on JX4 DPW. Results show that RFM generated is feasible for photogrammetric restitution of CCD linear images.

  • The coast is important area to set up policies in aspects of environmental, international and developing of resources. The researches have been conducted by many different organizations according to their own purposes. So the fundamental researches of Korean coastal area haven't been completed. For that reason, we can't use the datum to apply f3r different cases. In this paper, we studied about our current situations and the need of surveying. For a effective research methods, we suggest dividing research areas into zones and dividing them into smaller zones. And we divide priority of research and ranging of surveying classes by grading them depending on the importance.

  • In this research, we constructed a 3D riverbed surveying system that is able to acquire the topographical information of a riverbed in real-time. The system consists of a RTK-GPS receiver and a echo sounder for collecting simultaneously the position and the water depth information of riverbed. A program for data composition and transformation was designed to generate the 3D coordinates by combining data of a GPS receiver and a echo sounder and made GIS database construction easy. We extracted TIN, digital elevation model and cross sectional maps of the riverbed by using GIS software from 3D data constructed through test surveying. It was shown that the accuracy of the result was RMS error of 0.069m when compared with the existing methods which use a total station and staffs. It is expected that the 3D riverbed surveying system wiil be able to be utilized to various surveying for water resources management in rivers, sea, dams, storing reservoirs and so forth.

  • This study aims to verify the Drone utilization and the accuracy of the global navigation satellite system (GNSS), Drone RGB (Photogrammetry) (D-RGB), and Drone LiDAR (D-LiDAR) surveying performance in the downstream reaches of the local stream. The results of the measurement of Ground Control Point (GCP) and Check Point (CP) coordinates confirmed the excellence. This study was carried out by comparing GNSS, D-RGB, and D-LiDAR with the values which the hydraulic characteristics calculated using HEC-RAS model. The accuracy of three survey methods was compared in the area of the study which is the ownership station, to 6 GCP and 3 CP were installed. The comparison results showed that the D-LiDAR survey was excellent. The 100-year frequency design flood discharge was applied in the channel sections of the small stream. As a result of D-RGB surveying 2.30 m and D-LiDAR 1.80 m in the average bed elevation, and D-RGB surveying 4.73 m and D-LiDAR 4.25 m in the average flood condition. It is recommended that the performance of D-LiDAR surveying is efficient method and useful as the surveying technique of the geospatial information using the drone equipment in stream channel.

  • Recently, researches on the construction information for construction of high-tech cities are under performed. RTLS(Real-Time location system) for gathering the dynamic location information of construction resources in construction sites, such as workers, materials and equipments, is one of the developments. Especially, construction resources can be managed efficiently with the dynamic location information and the improvement of safety and the reduction of cost are expected. To introduce the RTLS to the construction sites, the installation location of AP(Access Point) must be simulated using the 3-dimensional visibility analysis considering the propagation distance of AP. In this research, 3-dimensional signal simulation software based on the spatial data using surveying terrestrial LiDAR is developed. The simulated results are compared with the signal strength of field experiments for 4 test sites. As a result, the signal strength from the propagation model is most similar to that of field experiment at the front of the main building and the maul playground of Konkuk University. The visibilities in that sites are higher than other sites. among 4 test sites.

  • A soil moisture measuring method for a hillslope of Korean watershed was developed to configure spatial-temporal distribution of soil moisture. Intensive surveying of topography had been performed to make a refined digital elevation model(DEM) and the hydrological interpretation from flow distribution algorithm was incorporated through reverse surveying. Moreover, A long term measurement system was established to maximize representative features of spatial variation of soil moisture and operated from October 19 to 21, 2003. TDR(Time Domain Reflectometry) with a multiplex monitoring system has been operated for accurate measurements. Measurements were performed at the right side hillslope of Buprunsa located at the sulmachun watershed. The data of temporal and spatial soil moisture variation by rainfall event were collected and the variations of soil moisture were well captured.
