  • D2D (Device-to-Device) communication underlaying LTE-advanced networks is a promising technology to improve the system capacity and spectral efficiency. By sharing the same radio resources with cellular user equipments, D2D communications can significantly enhance the overall spectral efficiency. However, it may cause interference between D2D link and cellular link. Careful resource allocation and interference coordination between cellular and D2D communications are very important and need to be properly handled. This paper proposes a radio resource allocation scheme based on FFFR (Flexible Fractional Frequency Reuse) for D2D communication underlaying cellular networks. The base station selects randomly resource blocks assigned to cellular users, and reuses them for a D2D pair. Through simulations, we have confirmed that the proposed scheme improves the system throughput, reduces the computational complexity, and mitigates the interference of D2D link and cellular link.

  • The stability guarantee of wireless network based control systems is still challenging due to the lossy links and node failures. This paper proposes a hierarchical cluster-based network protocol called robust wireless sensor and actuator network (R-WSAN) by combining time, channel, and space resource diversity. R-WSAN includes a scheduling algorithm to support the network resource allocation and a control task sharing scheme to maintain the control stability of multiple plants. R-WSAN was implemented on a real test-bed using Zolertia RE-Mote embedded hardware platform running the Contiki-NG operating system. Our experimental results demonstrate that R-WSAN provides highly reliable and robust performance against lossy links and node failures. Furthermore, the proposed scheduling algorithm and the task sharing scheme meet the stability requirement of control systems, even if the controller fails to support the control task.

  • Ultra wideband(UWB) technologies have been developed to exploit a new spectrum resource in substances and to realize ultra-high-speed communication, high precision geo-location, and other applications. The energy of UWB signal is extremely spread from near DC to a few GHz. This means that the interference between conventional narrowband systems and UWB systems is inevitable. However, the interference effects had not previously been studied from UWB wireless systems to conventional wireless systems sharing the frequency bands such as Broadcasting system. This paper experimentally evaluates the interference from two kinds of UWB sources, namely a orthogonal frequency division Multiplex UWB source and an impulse radio UWB source, to a Broadcasting transmission system. The receive power degradations of broadcasting system are presented. From these experimental results, we show that in all practical cases UWB system can coexist 35 m distance in-band broadcasting network.

  • According as computer industry develops and the Internet is spread information interchange between remote users video conference system that can exchange multimedia data such as voice as well as simplicity text data or burn by real-time appeared and is used in various field. However, most systems developed present have controversial points of that need expensive multi-point connection equipment or network resource of High band width. Hereupon, in this paper, designed and embody video conference system that can be stable and supplies multimedia information and screen public ownership environment of high-quality as software using minimum network resource without using expensive connection equipment.

  • Due to the rapid development of AI-related industries, countless edge devices are working in the real world. Since data generated within the smart space consisted of these devices is beyond imagination, it is becoming increasingly difficult for edge devices to process. To solve this issue, EdgeCPS has appeared. EdgeCPS is a technology to support harmonious execution of various application services including AI applications through interworking between edge devices and edge servers, and augmenting resources/functions. Therefore, we propose a knowledge-sharing graph-based componentized AI application support system applicable to the EdgeCPS platform. The graph is designed to effectively store information which are essential elements for creating AI applications. In order to easily change resource/function augmentation under the support of the EdgeCPS platform, AI applications are operated as components. The application support system is linked with the knowledge graph so that users can easily create and test applications, and visualizes the execution aspect of the application to users as a pipeline.

  • With device-to-device (D2D) communications, an inactive user terminal can be utilized as a relay node to support multi-hop communication so that connective experience of the cell-edge user as well as the capacity of the whole system can be significantly improved. In this paper, we investigate the spectrum sharing for a cooperative relay assisted D2D communication underlying a cellular network. We formulate a joint relay selection and channel assignment problem to maximize the throughput of the system while guaranteeing the quality of service (QoS) requirements of cellular users (CUs) and D2D users (DUs). By exploiting coalition formation game theory, we propose two algorithms to solve the problem. The first algorithm is designed based on merge and split rules while the second one is developed based on single user's movement. Both of them are proved to be stable and convergent. Simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

  • This paper presents the algorithms and Matlab Toolbox for co-simulation of distributed real-time control system based on OSEK-OS and CAN protocol. This toolbox enables the developers to analyze the timing uncertainty, which is caused by resource sharing including shared memories and networks, and to take the timing uncertainty into consideration in the early design phase. Furthermore, this toolbox helps the developers to model the behaviors of a control system by providing graphical user interface for objects of OSEK-OS and CAN. To prove the feasibility of this toolbox, a vehicle body network system is modeled with this toolbox, and the timing uncertainties are analyzed.

  • In this paper, we investigate a dynamic spectrum sharing problem for the centralized uplink cognitive radio networks using orthogonal frequency division multiple access. We formulate a large-scale joint rate and power allocation as an optimization problem under quality of service constraint for secondary users and interference constraint for primary users. We also suggest admission control to nd a feasible solution to the optimization problem. To implement the resource allocation on a large-scale, we introduce a notion of using the conservative factors $\alpha$ and $\beta$ depending on the outage and violation probabilities. Since estimating instantaneous channel gains is costly and requires high complexity, the proposed algorithm pursues a practical and implementation-friendly resource allocation. Simulation results demonstrate that the large-scale joint rate and power allocation incurs a slight loss in system throughput over the instantaneous one, but it achieves lower complexity with less sensitivity to variations in shadowing statistics.

  • When multiple applications are running concurrently on a multi-processor system, interferences between applications make it difficult to guarantee real-time constraints. We propose a novel interference analysis technique that allows sharing of share processors among dataflow applications, while satisfying real-time constraints. Based on the interference analysis, we develop a co-scheduling technique that aims to minimize the resource usage. Compared to an existent technique that involves converting application graphs to real-time tasks, the proposed technique shows better results in terms of resource usage, especially when it is applied to applications with tight time constraints.
