산업도금폐수 처리에 사용된 탄소폼 흡착소재의 중금속 탈착 및 회수에 관한 연구 (Study on Heavy Metal Desorption and Recovery of the Carbon Foam used in Industrial Plating Wastewater Treatment as Adsorbent)

  • 본 연구에서는 탄소폼 흡착소재를 이용하여 산업도금폐수로부터 중금속을 흡착 제거한 후 탈착용액을 이용하여 제거된 중금속을 용출하고 회수하는 과정의 특성을 평가해 보고자 하였다. 용액의 조성에 따른 복합 중금속의 탈착 특성을 살펴본 결과 증류수 조건에서는 용출이 관측되지 않았으며, 탈착용액으로 HCl과 $H_2SO_4 $를 이용한 경우 높은 중금속 농도를 나타내었다. 탈착 용액을 이용함과 더불어 물리적 기술인 초음파 처리를 이용한 경우 중금속의 용출이 증진되는 것을 확인하였으며, 초음파 장치의 출력이 높고 반응 시간이 길수록 효율도 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 탄소폼 흡착소재를 구리도금 세척수 처리에 적용시켜본 결과 200 반응기부피(Bed volume) 동안 안정적인 제거 성능을 나타내었으며, 흡착된 구리는 탈착용액을 이용하여 용출시킨 후 직류 전원 장치를 이용하여 회수할 수 있었다. 또한 구리가 회수된 탈착용액은 재이용 효율은 84.2%로 나타났다.

우리나라 기름오염 방제능력 확보기준의 타당성 (Discussion on the Criterion for the Determination of On-Water Oil Removal Resource Requirement in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 미국의 방제능력 확보기준과의 상세 비교를 통해서 우리나라 해상 방제능력 확보기준의 타당성을 검토하고자 수행되었다. 한국의 경우, 최대 300,000톤급 유조선 사고 발생시 60,000톤의 기금이 유출되고 이중 20,000톤을 해상에서 회수한다라는 가정하에 유회수기 기준으로 19,425 kl/hr의 방제능력을 확보하는 정책목표를 가지고 있다. 반면에 미국의 경우 300,000톤 유조선 사고시에 유회수기 기준으로 16,667 kl/hr의 방제능력을 현장에 동원토록 요구하고 있다. 결과적으로 30만톤급 유조선에 대한 최악유출사고를 대상으로 하여 한국은 미국보다 16% 많은 방제장비(유회수기)를 갖춰야 하는데, 이는 우리나라의 국가 방제능력 2만톤 확보 기준이 어느 정도 합리적인 수치임을 나타낸다.

Study on the distribution law and influencing factors of pressure field distribution before exploitation in heavy oilfield

  • A calculation model of reservoir pressure field distribution around multiple production wells in a heavy oil reservoir is established, which can overcome the unreasonable uniform-pressure value calculated by the traditional mathematical model in the multiwell mining areas. A calculating program is developed based on the deduced equations by using Visual Basic computer language. Based on the proposed mathematical model, the effects of drainage rate and formation permeability on the distribution of reservoir pressure are studied. Results show that the reservoir pressure drops most at the wellbore. The farther the distance away from the borehole, the sparser the isobaric lines distribute. Increasing drainage rate results in decreasing reservoir pressure and bottom-hole pressure, especially the latter. The permeability has a significant effect on bottom hole pressure. The study provides a reference basis for studying the dynamic pressure field distribution before thermal recovery technology in heavy oilfield and optimizing construction parameters.

  • Extensible Storage Engine (ESE) 데이터베이스는 Microsoft가 개발한 데이터베이스로 Internet Explorer, Spartan과 같은 웹브라우저와 Windows Search, System Resource Usage Monitor와 같은 윈도우 시스템에서 주요하게 사용된다. 기존의 ESE 데이터베이스 뷰어는 잘못된 값을 출력할 수 있고 수집 환경과 파일의 상태에 따라 파일을 읽지 못하는 경우가 존재한다. 또한 삭제된 레코드 복구 도구는 일부 프로그램에 한정적이고 모든 테이블을 복구하지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 ESE 데이터베이스 구조를 분석하여 개별 데이터베이스가 아닌 범용적으로 적용할 수 있는 삭제된 레코드의 복구 기법을 제안하며 이를 도구로 구현하여 실험한 결과를 제시한다.

The review of municipal solid waste management in Nigeria: the current trends

  • The management of municipal solid waste (MSW) is essential for every community; and, it is currently a major challenge in Nigeria. This paper provides an overview of the current MSW management trends in Nigeria and proposes new sustainable MSW management systems. Across Nigerian cities, MSW management is characterized by inefficient collection and transportation to disposal sites. Collection services do not reach some unplanned areas and slums due to poor street network. Even some planned areas are not reached by collection services. The informal sector contributes to waste collection, resource recovery and recycling; however, their activities are not recognized by the governments. Markets exist for recovered materials but more efforts need to be geared towards intensive recovery of materials and expansion of these markets. Despite the high proportion of putrescible matter in MSW, the only form of treatment commonly used currently is open burning for volume reduction. The high organic fraction presents a great opportunity for composting and anaerobic digestion. Ultimate disposal is currently done in open dumpsites. This needs to be upgraded to engineered landfills that are properly sited and adequately operated by well trained personnel. There is an emerging waste stream of concern, electronic-waste (e-waste), that requires urgent sustainable management as e-waste are currently co-disposed with other waste streams or burnt in the open posing detrimental health impacts.

An Agent-based Network Management System Using Active Information Resources

  • An expert network administrator is not always stationed as disasters happen. In that case, it is desirable that a novice administrator is capable of taking part in network recovery operations as well. In this paper, an agent-based network management system in emergency situations is presented. We use the Active Information Resource based Network Management System (AIR-NMS) to relieve the human administrator from parts of her management tasks and present an interface that remotely can control this management system. The effectiveness of the system is demonstrated by experiments using a prototype system.

  • This study is to estimate the factor weights of the reasons for decreases in marine fishery resources using the Analytical Hierarchy Process. Furthermore, it classifies 20 fishes under a fishery resource recovery plan into various groups of fishes according to these factor weights using the non-hierarchial cluster analysis. The factors of decreases in marine fishery resources are identified as bio-ecological, technology-system, economic-business, and fishing village-society factors. Two of the most important factors of decreases in resource are turned out to be the economic-business and bio-ecological factors, estimated as 31% and 30% respectively. The technology-system and fishing village-society factors are estimated as 21% and 18% respectively. The study utilizes non-hierarchical cluster analysis in order to classify 20 fishes into 2, 3, and 4 groups. K-means cluster analysis is applied for grouping in conjunction with ANOVA to identify statistical differences in factors. Once again, the economic-business and bio-economic factors play main role in grouping 2-groups of fishes case. The third group of fishes in addition to the previous 2 groups of fishes appears as those 4 factors of decrease evenly play about the same role at a 3-groups of fishes case. Finally, the economic-business and bio-economic factors are turned out to be evenly important in the 4th group once there are 4-groups of fishes.

  • The SK Chemical R&D center is an eco-friendly building designed as top score in the GBCC(GREEN BUILDING CERTIFICATE CRITERIA). This building has applied various eco-friendly technologies such as energy /water resource cutdown, improvement of indoor quality and improvement of user convenience, etc through eco-friendly concept from the design phase. In this thesis, an economic efficiency evaluation has been performed on building energy cwater resource cutdown technologies among them and the results are as follows. The building energy has cut down about 40% compared to ordinary buildings and the investment recovery period was shown as about 5 years. The water resource has cut down about 63% compared to ordinary buildings and the investment recovery period was shown as about 10 years.

  • 최근 미세플라스틱의 발생 측면에서 폐플라스틱의 친환경적 처리에 대한 관심이 증대하고 있다. 이에, 폐플라스틱의 재활용이 폐기물 간소화, 이산화탄소 배출 감소 및 부가가치 제품 재생산의 이점을 제공하기 때문에 매우 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 특히, 친환경적인 폐플라스틱의 재활용을 위해서는 물리적 선별방법을 통해야 하며, 그 중에서도 폐플라스틱내의 재질별 분리가 가능한 부유선별이 물질재활용 측면에서 매우 효과적인 분리방법으로 잘 알려져 있다. 따라서, 본 총설에서는 혼합 폐플라스틱의 효과적인 재질 분리를 하기 위한 부유 선별의 연구 동향을 조사하였다. 추가적으로 보고된 연구결과들을 통하여 플라스틱의 원재료인 폴리머로부터 기능성 신소재로서의 활용에 대한 접근방법을 요약 정리하였다.
