  • This paper proposes a scheme to maximize traffic capacity for supporting mobile multimedia services. For a handoff session, we suggest a novel resource reservation scheme to adjust the number of reserved resources in macrocell, depending on the number of saturated microcells. The proposed schemes are able to accommodate much more mobile sessions in the microcell and significantly reduce the blocking probability in the macrocell at the expense of the small increment of a forced termination in the microcell. Therefore, our system is more flexible to the increase of traffic in macrocell.

  • The Influences of the Ecotourism Motive, on the Attitude, Resource Interpretation and Satisfaction of Tourist Ecotourism has been recently introduced to maintain the relation of mutual dependence between the tourism and the natural environment. However it is adversely used and creates the destruction of ecosystem. It is Important that the ecotourism is a tourism which tourists can experience and enjoy themselves on site rather than a tourism which they only see and hear, understand. It is assumed that a method should be found to maximize toursist' satisfaction and that the presentation of interpretation of the tourism resource may satisfy the tourist's satisfaction. The results offer the suggestion points as follows. 1. By providing the interpretation of tourism resource as well as the recreational object, the ecotourism can be activated with a sound recognition of nature and the reservation of environment, and furthermore, the development policy may be based on not only the area of ecotourism but also all of the tour area. 2. By providing the interpretation service of tourism resource for tourists, the satisfaction can be maximized by the high cognition of tourist. 3. By providing the information about the tourism destination and resource, it will contribute to the side of education, it will contribute the preservation of resource and the reservation of environment. Ecotourism, Tourism Motive, Tourism Attitude, Tourism Resource Interpretation Tourist Satisfaction.

  • In this paper, WiMedia Distributed-MAC protocol is adopted for development of multi-hop N-screen wireless services. Furthermore, to provide the multi-hop OSMU (One Source Multi Use) N-screen service through P2P streaming in the D-MAC protocol, a new multi-hop resource reservation scheme is proposed and analyzed to reduce end to end delay. For this Multi-hop resource reservation scheme, a new MSCDRP (Multi-Stage Cooperative DRP) IE is proposed. Simulation results show that our multi-hop MSCDRP scheme reduces the end to end delay and increases throughput at various multi-hop N-screen network environment.

  • To improve quality of service(QoS) in the current Internet, various QoS providing mechanisms such as RSVP, DiffServ have been proposed. In this paper we propose a more simple but more scalable mechanism which can guarantee end-to-end QoS. The proposed mechanism can provide scalability by minimizing the state information which is needed by router to reserve network resources. Using sender-initiated & soft-state resource reservation, a router does not need to keep the backward data path like RSVP. In this paper we illustrate the proposed resource reservation mechanism with network topology and signaling.

  • In this paper, we define a Hose-NSIS-QoSM, which reserves and manages resources according to the hose based resource provisioning mechanisms for supporting the VPN QoS(Quality of Service) using the NSIS(Next Step in Signaling) signaling protocol. Specifically, we specify the NSIS message objects, the structures of QoS NSLP(NSIS Signaling Layer Protocol)/NTLP(NSIS Transport Layer Protocol)/RMF(Resource Management Function) state tables and the processing of the signaling messages in NSIS nodes. Also, we compare the Hose-NSIS-QoSM with the Hose-RSVP-TE-QoSM that supports the hose based VPN QoS in the MPLS networks using the extended RSVP-TE mechanism.

  • In tactical environment, tactical wireless networks are generally comprised of Tactical MANETs(T-MANETs) or Tactical WMNs(T-WMNs). The most important services in tactical network are voice and low rate data such as command control and situation awareness. These data should be forwarded via multi-hop in tactical wireless networks. Urgent and mission-critical data should be protected in this environment, so QoS(Quality of Service) must be guaranteed for specific type of traffic for satisfying the requirement of a user. In IEEE 802.11s, TDMA-based MAC protocol, MCCA(MCF Controlled Channel Access), has a function of resource reservation. But 802.11s protocol can not guarantee the end-to-end QoS, because it only supports reservation with neighbors. In this paper, we propose the routing protocol, R-HWMP(Reservation-based HWMP) which has the resource reservation to support the end-to-end QoS. The proposed protocol can reserve the channel slots and find optimal path in T-WMNs. We analyzed the performance of the proposed protocol and showed that end-to-end QoS is guaranteed using NS-2 simulation.

  • Web Service technologies make the automation of business activities that are distributed across multiple enterprises possible. Existing extended transaction protocols typically resort to compensation actions to regain atomicity and consistency. A reservation-based transaction protocol is proposed to reduce high compensation risk. However, for a serial long running transaction processing, the resource that is reserved in the early stage may be released due to resource holding time expires. Therefore, our analysis theoretically illustrates a scheduling scheme that tries to prevent the loss of resource holding as well as gain an optimized execution plan with minimum compensation cost. In order to estimate cost of different schedules, we set up a costing model and cost metric to quantize compensation risk.

  • Today's market share of mobile internet service is growing rapidly in internet due to the rapid advances in wireless mobile networks. To guarantee for QoS of Mobile Nodes in wireless mobile networks, we propose the Proxy MRSVP (PMRSVP) which is efficient resource reservation protocol. The PMRSVP using a modified regional registration restrains excessive message generation from existing protocols that propose an alternative plan of existing best effort service in wireless mobile networks. We show that signaling message generation quantities and resource registration costs of the PMRSVP are lower than MRSVP and Hierarchical MRSVP (HMRSVP) because as Mobile Agent (MA) plays a proxy role instead of Corresponding Host (CH). We evaluate resource reservation cost with registration cost of intradomain and interdomain of the proposed method in the paper by comparing to that of the MRSVP and HMRSVP.

  • This paper develops a scheme of resource management for guaranteeing QoS of realtime traffic in wireless mobile internet environments Mobile terminal has significant impact on the QoS originating mobility provided to a real-time application. The currently proposed MRSVP is not clear the boundary of resource reservation tregion and also can give rise to signal overhead to maintain sessions. To solve above problem, we propose the new reservation protocol, mobile cluster based H-MRSVP to combine MRSVP with moving cluster concept. In this paper, we analytically design our model for guaranteeing the QoS of realtime traffic and compare the three schemes: guard channel allocation schemes, DCA and our model. The performance measures are the probabilities of new call blocking, handoff dropping, resource utilization and service completion versus the system offered Erlang load. Consequently, Simulation indicate our model is more flexible than DCA in a view pint of channel utilization and gains the advantage over guard channel scheme with respects to the mobility.
