  • 본 논문은 온톨로지(ontology) 작성에 사용되는 RDF(Resource Description Framework) 모델을 CPN(Colored Petri Net) 모델로 변환하여 표현하는 방법을 제안하고, 페트리 넷 시뮬레이션으로 RDF의 의미를 해석하여 RDF 질의문에 답할 수 있음을 보인다. 또한, 어떠한 RDF 모델도 CPN 모델로의 변환이 가능하다는 제안 방법의 완전성과 무결성을 소개하고, 제안한 방법으로 구축된 CPN 모델에서 RDF 질의에 대해 정확하게 결과를 구하는 방법을 제시한다.

Construction of Preservation Description Framework for Digital Archiving (디지털 아카이빙을 위한 보존 기술항목 프레임워크 구축)

  • Information modeling that is broadly applied in digital archiving process privides conceptual process that can be used to guide the creation of descriptions for the objects of preservation. However, it has faced with the limitations on substantially applying to the creation of preservation metadata records. This research proposes the concept of Resource Cluster in order to address these problems and efficiently describe the objects of preservation during digital archiving process. It also constructed Preservation Description Framework (PDF) based on RDF in order to substantially manifest preservation descriptions. This framework combines the structure of OAIS Reference Model and Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR) and can be an alternative approach to the creation of preservation metadata in more efficient and effective ways.

  • On the Semantic Web, the content of the documents must be explicitly represented through metadata in order to enable contents-based inference. In this study, we propose a mechanism to convert the Conceptual Graph (CG) into Resource Description Framework (RDF). Quite a large number or representation languages for representing knowledge on the Web have been established over the last decade. Most of these researches are focused on design of independent knowledge description. On the Semantic Web, however, a knowledge conversion mechanism will be needed to exchange the knowledge used in independent devices. In this study, the CG could give an entire conceptual view of knowledge and RDF can represent that knowledge on the Semantic Web. Then the CG-based object oriented PROLOG could support the natural inference based on that knowledge. Therefore, our proposed knowledge conversion mechanism will be used in the designing of Semantic Web-based knowledge representation and inference systems.

  • The Semantic Web stands out in the next generation web, recently. In the Semantic Web, any information resources is defined by semantics and semantic links is given among these. It is different from existing web service environment. RDF (Resource Description Framework) is the data model to describe metadata of web resource and is to support for semantic links. And it is much the same as WSDL (Web Serice Description Language). In theis paper, we propose the RDF design method to improve the search performance by integrating RDF data unit with WSDL. We confirm the performance and efficiency of search will be improved by using the proposed method.

  • 인터넷상에 존재하는 네트워크 자원이 급증하면서 이들 자원을 식별. 기술하는 메타데이터도 여러 가지 다른 형식으로 개발 및 이용되고 있다. 따라서 독립적으로 운용되는 메타데이터간의 상호호환성을 높이기 위한 메타데이터 연결이나 통합 구조가 요구된다. 이러한 통합 구조의 논의는 DC의 제2차 워크숍에서 제안돼 WF(Warwick Framework)에서 시작되어 RDF(Resource Description Framework)로 이어지고 있다.

  • 시멘틱웹을 구축하는 표준언어인 RDF (Resource Description Framework)는 언어의 그래프 기반 특성으로 인해 일반적인 방식들로는 효과적인 저장과 추출이 어렵다. 더욱이 대용량 RDF 데이터의 저장과 추출에는 성능문제가 더욱 커지므로 많은 연구들이 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 SPARQL을 지원하면서 RDF 파일들을 효과적으로 저장하고 검색할 수 있는 저장방식에 대해 연구한 결과를 제시한다. RDF 데이터를 전처리를 통해 RDF의 트리플(주어:subject, 술어:property, 목적어:Object)에서 중복되는 주어(S)나 목적어(O)를 묶고, 사용자가 SPARQL 형식으로 검색했을 때 이용자가 주어부분을 변수로 두었는지 아니면 서술어 부분을 변수로 두어 찾는지에 따라 검색어와 유사한 단어 클러스터를 찾아준다. 동일 단어에 대해 여러 번 검색되던 부분을 한 번 검색으로 처리할 수 있기 때문에 효율이 높아진다.

  • Recently, due to emerging technologies such as radio frequency identification(RFID), global positioning system(GPS), and wireless mobile communication technologies, it is possible to build up the infrastructure for tracking and tracing product logistics data at any place and at any time. However, for implementing the infrastructure, it is necessary to develop a suitable management method for product logistics data. To this end, this study deals with a resource description framework(RDF) based modeling and application method for product logistics data in the ubiquitous environment. It will give us the capability to control product logistics data, which leads to streamline logistics operations.

Analyzing RDF Data in Linked Open Data Cloud using Formal Concept Analysis

  • The Linked Open Data(LOD) cloud is quickly becoming one of the largest collections of interlinked datasets and the de facto standard for publishing, sharing and connecting pieces of data on the Web. Data publishers from diverse domains publish their data using Resource Description Framework(RDF) data model and provide SPARQL endpoints to enable querying their data, which enables creating a global, distributed and interconnected dataspace on the LOD cloud. Although it is possible to extract structured data as query results by using SPARQL, users have very poor in analysis and visualization of RDF data from SPARQL query results. Therefore, to tackle this issue, based on Formal Concept Analysis, we propose a novel approach for analyzing and visualizing useful information from the LOD cloud. The RDF data analysis and visualization technique proposed in this paper can be utilized in the field of semantic web data mining by extracting and analyzing the information and knowledge inherent in LOD and supporting classification and visualization.

Efficient Ontology Object Model for Semantic Web (시맨틱웹을 위한 효율적인 온톨로지 객체 모델)

  • The advent of Semantic Web has generated several methods that can access the data on the web. Thus, it is necessary to handle the data by accessing the current web ontology as well as the existing knowledge base system. Web ontology languages are RDF(Resource Description Framework), DAML-OIL, OWL(Web Ontology Language), and so on. This paper presents the creation and the method of the ontology object model that can access, represent, and process the web ontology and the existing knowledge base. Unlike the existing access approach of web ontology using the model on memory constructed by each parser, we divide the model of web ontology into three layers such as frame-based ontology layer, generic ontology layer, and functional ontology layer. Generic ontology layer represents the common vocabulary among several domains and functional ontology layer contains the dependent vocabulary to each ontology respectively. Our model gets rid of the redundancy of the representation and enhances the reusability. Moreover, it can provide the easy representation of knowledge and the fast access of the model in the application.
