It was analyzed that the vibration and frequency characteristics for quartz crystal using a finite element method, ANSYS. It was investigated that the resonant frequency of quartz crystal by fixing the diameter of quartz crystal for the various its thickness. There were also studied that the resonant frequency value with different electrode thin films of Au, Ag and Al. As the result of this study, the best condition for quartz crystal unit was determined by the finite element method. If the thickness of quartz crystal is smaller than 0.2 mm, the high frequency over 8.102 MHz was obtained. In addition, as to the change of resonant frequency on electrode thin film, Al turned out to be superior to Au or Ag in frequency response.

The design method for a dual frequency antenna using CPW feed lines is presented. The antenna structures can be simplified by CPW feed lines and easily designed on integrated circuits. The presented antenna has two resonant frequency ranges and each respective resonant frequency is determined by its own length of monopole antenna. We used an impedance matching method by using a monopole coupling related to the ground of CPW feed lines As a result, the resonant frequencies were 5.25[GHz] and 23.5[GHz] and their bandwidths $35.2\%,\;and\;41.3\%$, respectively, and also, the separation of the two frequencies $370\;%$. We presented an analytical designing method to implement a dual frequency monopole antenna and showed simple antenna structures having two frequency ranges for RFIC Integrations.

The fractal expanded antenna with the configuration of a triangular microstrip patch antenna is presented and analyzed. In the fundamental and higher mode of TFA(Triangular Fractal Antenna), resonant frequencies are controlled by changing the scaling factor. It is observed that increasing scaling factor makes the resonant frequency be spread, and decreasing scaling factor makes it be concentrated. The scaling factor is varied as the expansion and concentration of resonant frequencies. The resonant frequency in each fractal patch element is observed log -periodically. The TFA can be applied to the multiband system.

It is an analysis about electromagnetic wave which is generated from a Spark plug cable of Distributorless spark ignition system. In case of Distributorless spark ignition system, high frequency generation is an ignition coil and Spark plug cable and Spark plug could be activated with electromagnetic wave radiation antenna. I calculated a resonant frequency with HFSS by measuring length of Spark plug cable and Spark plug. The antenna was considered as ${\lambda}/4$ monopole antenna in this calculation. According to power spectrum measurement analysis of engine room radiated electromagnetic wave and calculated Resonant frequency, it is possible to find out that the Distributorless spark ignition system radiates high frequency energy in certain frequency band.
Electrochemical Quartz Crystal microbalance is a tool that is capable of measuring nanogram-scale mass change on electrode surface. When applying alternating voltage to the quartz crystal with metal electrode formed on both sides, a resonant frequency by inverse piezoelectric effect depends on its thickness. The resonant frequency changes sensitively by mass change on its electrode surface; frequency increase with metal dissolution and decrease with metal deposition on the electrode surface. The relationship between resonant frequency and mass change is shown by Sauerbrey equation so that the mass change during metal dissolution can be measured in real time. Especially, it is effective in the case of reaction mechanism and rate studies accompanied by precipitation, volatilization, compound formation, etc. resulting in difficulties on ex-situ AA or ICP analysis. However, it should be carefully considered during EQCM experiments that temperature, viscosity, and hydraulic pressure of solution, and stress and surface roughness can affect on the resonant frequency. Application of EQCM was shown as a case study on leaching of platinum using aqueous chlorine for obtaining activation energy. A platinum electrode of quartz crystal oscillator with 1000 Å thickness exposed to solution was used as leaching sample. Electrogenerated chlorine as oxidant was purged and its concentration was controlled in hydrochloric acid solution. From the experimental results, platinum dissolution by chlorine is chemical reaction control with activation energy of 83.5 kJ/mol.
A quartz crystal analyzer is utilized to monitor the corrosion process of an aluminum surface of a quartz crystal for marine sensor by sea water. A quartz crystal having 2000 $\AA$ of aluminum layer is installed in a specially designed cell and is in contact with sea water imitated electrolyte solution. While a constant potential is applied to the cell, the resonant frequency and resonant resistance are simultaneously measured using the quartz crystal analyzer. In addition, surface topographs are taken with an atomic force microscope(AFM) and the element analysis of the surface is conducted using an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer(EDX). The simultaneous measurement of resonant frequency and resonant resistance during the corrosion process explains the change of surface structure caused by the corrosion. The variation of resonant frequency addresses the amount surface metal dissolution. As a conclusion, it is found that a simple measurement using the quartz crystal analyzer can replace the complex monitoring employing large equipments in the investigation of a corrosion process of sensor surface.
European spruce and maple were to be estimated as raw material of violin family instruments with linear modal analysis to provide the information data for the design of their bodies. Wood specimens cut in different direction were excited by impact hammer to measure the resonant frequency with typical vibrational modes. In spite of lower density than maple, European spruce showed the excellent acoustical properties with higher resonant frequency. And edge-grained spruce had more even frequencies than flat-grained ones to be more acceptable as front plate of violin. Resonant frequency was positively correlated with wood density of each specimen and the coefficients of edge-grained specimens were higher than those of flat-grained specimens of both wood species.
In this paper, the design method of a miniaturized chipless RFID tag using a modified bent H-shaped slot was proposed. The proposed modified bent H-shaped slot was appended on the rectangular conductor plate printed on one side of a 20 mm × 50 mm FR4 substrate with a thickness of 0.8 mm. The resonant dip frequency of the bistatic RCS for the proposed modified bent H-shaped slot was compared with the cases when the H-shaped, U-shaped slot, and bent H-shaped slots were added, respectively, on the conductor plate. The simulated resonant dip frequencies for H-shaped, U-shaped, and bent H-shaped slots were 5.907 GHz, 4.918 GHz, and 4.364 GHz, respectively. When the proposed modified bent H-shaped slot was added, the resonant dip frequency was decreased to 3.741 GHz, and, therefore, the slot length was reduced by 36.7% compared to the H-shaped slot case. Experiment results show that the resonant dip frequency of the fabricated modified bent H-shaped slot was 3.9 GHz.
It was thought that the stiffness of a coated specimen became lower than that of the solid wood because the stiffness of the dried film of coating material is lower than that of the solid wood. The authors were trying to compare the effect of lacquer varnish and rhus lacquer on the resonant frequency of the solid woods for the violin, spruce and maple. Vibration modal shape of coated specimens were same to those of solid woods, but the frequency became lower at each mode as were expected regardless of coat. frequency decrement of coated specimen was getting larger at upper mode in both European violin woods, however, rhus lacquer coated spruce specimens were less affected than lacquer varnish coated specimens.

Three-Dimensional FDTD method is applied to analyze the dielectric resonator coupled with two microstrip lines. We model accurately the curved surface using Noriaki model. The frequency resolution is 106.46 MHz by the conventional FFT However it is not sufficient for determining its resonant frequency. So we introduce the Pad approximation and Stoer-Bulirsch method in order to have the high frequency resolution degree, 1.00 MHz. All results are compared with the measured data. As a result, we acquire the very precise result through the Pad approximation. And sinusoidal wave is applied. From the plot of the electric and magnetic field distribution, it is shown that the resonant mode is $TE_{01{\delta}}$ mode.
