The thermal stability conditions are investigated for superconducting magnet systems cooled conductively by cryocooler without liquid cryogens. The worst scenario in the systems is that the heat generation in the resistive state exceeds the refrigeration. causing a rise in the temperature of the magnet winding and leading to the burnout. It is shown by an analytical solution that in the continuous resistive state, the temperature may increase indefinitely or a stable steady-state may be reached, depending upon the relative size of the magnet with respect to the refrigeration capacity of the cryocooler. The stability criteria include the temperature-dependent Properties of the magnet materials and the refrigeration characteristics of the cryocooler. A useful graphical scheme is Presented and discussed to demonstrate the physical importance of the results.

The effects of adding higher-valence impurities on the bipolar resistive switching characteristics of Pt/$NiO_{1+x}$/TiN MIM stacks and physical properties were investigated. $NiO_{1+x}$ films with 14% W deposited at 20% oxygen partial pressure exhibited the bipolar resistance switching characteristics in Pt/$NiO_{1+x}$/TiN MIM stacks, while $NiO_{1+x}$ films with 8.2% W show unipolar resistance switching behavior. The relationship of W-doping and the crystallinity was studied by X-ray diffraction. The metallic Ni contents and $WO_x$ binding states with W amount was investigated by XPS. Our result showed that the metallic Ni, $WO_x$ binding states, and crystallinity in $NiO_{1+x}$ played an important role on the bipolar resistive switching.

In this study, four kinds of specimens of PE(polyethylene)-based insulating materials were prepared for selecting the optimum insulation materials in a wet environment. The specimens were tested by various methods, the anti tracking test, the transmittance test in the water vapor transmittance(WVT) and the abrasion resistive test, etc. The HDPE(high-density polyethylene) specimen was showed excellent property in the tracking resistance test and the lowest transmittance in water vapor transmittance test. In the abrasion resistive test, the LLDPE(linear low-density polyethylene) and MDPE(medium-density Polyethylene) were showed excellent mechanical properties. The value of cut-through resistance for MDPE and HDPE were superior to that for LLDPE and LDPE(low-density polyethylene).
A composite active layer was designed based on graphene quantum dots, which is a low-dimensional structure, and a heterogeneous active layer of graphene quantum dots was applied to the interfacial defect structure to overcome the limitations. Increasing to 1.5~3.5 wt % PVP GQD, Vf changed from 2.16 ~ 2.72 V. When negative deflection is applied to the lower electrode, electrons travel through the HfOx/ITO interface. The Al + ions are reduced and the device dominates at low resistance. In addition, as the PVP GQD concentration increased, the depth of the interfacial defect decreased, and the repetition of appropriate electrical properties was confirmed through Al and HfOx/ITO. The low interfacial defects help electrophoresis of Al+ ions to the PVP GQD layer and the HfOx thin film. A local electric field increase occurred, resulting in the breakage of the conductive filament in the defect.
Polymers have good electrical properties as an insulation material. Though they show more and less poor resistance to heat, radiation, and oxygen, the poor properties have been overcame by developing new resin with the saturated molecular structure and compounding resin with resistive fillers. Polymer insulators have many advantages; light weight, good mechanical properties, better contaimination performance, low cost by mass productivity, no destruction in many pieces, good flexibility in design, short manufacturing time. Usage of polymer insulators has increased rapidly with good credit on long term properties in advanced nations and will continue to grow.

The buildings constructed with steel structure are coated with certified fire resistive material to resist from fire. All the building materials lose their initial performances as time passes by, so they need some maintenance. The Sprayed Fire Resistive Material (SFRM) also loses its performance and this performance loss of the SFRM is very important because fire resistance of buildings depends on SFRM. So this study was aimed to synthesis of alkali-silicates for SFRM and to evaluate the effect of alkali-silicates, K-silicates, Na-silicates and Li-silicates, by exchange of mole ratios as basic factors, tested solubility, intumescence ratios, thermal analysis, powder X-ray diffraction, fire-resistant and heat-resistant.
The resistive-type humidity sensors were prepared from the copolymers of [2-[(methacryloyloxy)ethyl]dimethyl]propylamonium bromide (MEPAB), [2-[(methacryloyloxy)ethyl]-2-hydroxyethyl]dimethylammonium bromide (MEHDAB), 2- [(methacryloyloxy)ethyl]trimethylammonium chloride (METAC), and n-butyl methylacrylate (MBA). Four component copolymers MEPAB/BMA/MEHDAB/METAC=4/4/1/1, 3/5/1/1, 2/6/1/1, 1/7/1/1 crosslinked with blocked-isocyanate on Ag/Pd electrode/alumina substrate showed a good durability at high humidities. The various electrical properties such as frequency dependency, temperature dependency, hysteresis, response time and water durability were examined. In the case of copolymer composed of MEPAB/BMA/MEHDAB/METAC=2/6/1/1, the resistance varied from $1.4\;M{\Omega}$ to $2.9\;k{\Omega}$ at $25^{\circ}C$ in the range of $30{\sim}90\;%RH$ and this copolymers showed a good linearity and low hysteresis.

This study explores the resistive heating characteristics of discontinuous carbon fiber (CF)-epoxy composites. Test samples including 1, 3, and 5 wt.% CF were fabricated using sonication and cast molding processes. For heating performance characterization, DC currents were applied to the composite samples, and surface temperatures were evaluated visually and quantitatively using an infrared camera. To estimate the thermal performance of composites and verify the experimental results, finite element analyses were performed. The resistive heating mechanism was investigated in connection with CF loading and applied voltages. Resistive heating efficiency increased proportionately with CF concentration and applied voltage. To obtain homogeneous temperature distribution of the samples, high degree of CF dispersion is required.
A spin coating process for RRAM, which is a TiN/TiO2/FTO structure based on a PTC sol solution, was developed in this laboratory, a method which enables low-temperature and eco-friendly manufacturing. The RRAM corresponds to an OxRAM that operates through the formation and extinction of conductive filaments. Heat treatment was selected as a method of controlling oxygen vacancy (VO), a major factor of the conductive filament. It was carried out at 100 ℃ under moisture removal conditions and at 300 ℃ and 500 ℃ for excellent phase stability. XRD analysis confirmed the anatase phase in the thin film increased as the heat treatment increased, and the Ti3+ and OH- groups were observed to decrease in the XPS analysis. In the I-V analysis, the device at 100 ℃ showed a low primary SET voltage of 5.1 V and a high ON/OFF ratio of 104. The double-logarithmic plot of the I-V curve confirmed the device at 100 ℃ required a low operating voltage. As a result, the 100 ℃ heat treatment conditions were suitable for the low voltage driving and high ON/OFF ratio of TiN/TiO2/FTO RRAM devices and these results suggest that the operating voltage and ON/OFF ratio required for OxRAM devices used in various fields under specific heat treatment conditions can be compromised.
By using the information obtained from the outputs of MR(MagnetoResistive) sensors for an Unmanned Vehicle Driving System, we develop an algorithm that decides the distance and direction between vehicle and the guideline which is made by the magnet. To improve the robust tracking properties of the closed loop system, we introduce H$\infty$ controller and its application for the Unmanned Vehicle Driving System.
