This study was conducted in the summer of 2005 in Shindong-myeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do to assess the quality of drinking water and to evaluate their potential pollutants. Ninety four water samples were collected from three classes of water supplies such as simple piped water, supplied own water and others (Supplied local water). Most residents used simple piped water (72.63%). 31.25% residents thought the water quality was bad and landfill was the main source of pollution that affected water quality. To correspond this perception, water quality was measured according to Drinking Water Quality Standard. The general bacteria, coliforms, and $NO_3-N$ exceeded the standard but the water qualities in these four areas were suitable for Drinking Water Quality Standard. The simple piped water showed low mean concentration of excess rate compared to supplied own piped water except general bacteria. Hardness, pH, and $NO_3-N$ showed significantly higher effects on drinking water quality. To evaluate the effect of effluent from landfill, water quality was measured according to distance and altitude. However, there was no effect of landfill effluent. To find out the effect of rainfall, we compared water quality of the year 2003 with that of 2005. The result showed significant differences in hardness and $NO_3-N$ concentration. This study confirmed that $NO_3-N$, coliforms, and general bacteria are main pollutant of water supply in rural community. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly maintain simple piped water supply, supplement sewer facilities, and educate residents about public health risk associated with drinking water in rural area.
In this study, we looked at how to preserve and use the Yibugok earthen fortification ruin in Sangju, which has recently been actively investigated and researched. Now that the coronavirus pandemic has become a reality, a utilization plan using local historical and cultural resources can be the starting point for regional revitalization. To this end, this study first reviewed the historical value of the Sangju Yibugok earthen fortification. The historical and cultural resource value of the fortification was reviewed in recent archaeological achievements along with the results of existing literature research, and distortion in its utilization was avoided. Next, an analysis of the perception of the demand class and local residents, the subject of utilization, was conducted with visitor statistics and surveys. This is because empathy for historical and cultural resources by the demand class and local residents, who are the main agents of utilization, is the most important factor in the use of cultural assets. Based on the theoretical review presented above, the use cases of ancient fortification ruins were examined in the last chapter 4, and a utilization plan for the fortification was presented focusing on empathy. This study was conducted with a focus on the historical value of the use of the fortification ruins, the empathy of the demand class, and the public. In order to overcome the crisis in Sangju, a high-risk area due to population decline, various measures must be proposed, and establishing historical and cultural identity at the center of Sabeolguk and enhancing its image through various utilization measures can be one of the alternatives.

For this purpose, a survey was conducted by 281 housewives who lives in apartment, and analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, factor analysis, χ² test, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Duncan's Multiple Range test. The results of the study were obtained as follows: 1) The most preferred flooring materials was wood in the livingroom. Also, most of the reasons for preferred this flooring materials were good for health and good texture. 2) As a result of typifying housewives' perceptions of residential flooring materials, it was classified into fashoin-pursuit type, personality-expression type, beauty-pursuit type, health-pursuit type and practicality-pursuit type. 3) In the degree of satisfaction with the current flooring materials of livingroom, wood showed the highest level of satisfaction. 4) Differences in the degree of satisfaction with the current flooring materials of livingroom by personal characteristics of residents were analyzed. The purpose of this study is to suggest the basic data on the direction of housing research trends by dividing both research methods and research contents through precedent studies related to elderly housing. We drew four major conclusions through this research. First, in general, the research activities for elderly housing has been conducted actively since 2000 to begin in earnest after 1990. This result shows that it is related with the reform of welfare laws for the elderly in 1993, with the change of government policies and the increase of social interest in elderly people's lives. Second, early studies had been started to focus on elderly home residents if we look into research results according to research methods. In 1993, The Elderly Welfare Act was reformed by the government and then researches for elderly welfare facilities were also increased by a permission of government to run private elderly welfare facilities for making profit. This movement caused to expand research targets from general elderly people to their families, facility staffs and experts. Third, in case of research contents past studies were mostly conducted on the space planning and its actual situation. However, current studies are made under diverse viewpoint with the increase of elderly housing and elderly welfare facilities according to reforms of laws and changes of resident's perception. Fourth, because of rapid transition to an aging society the studies of elderly housing were influenced by the changes of policies and social consciousness.

Background: The purpose of this study is to make a grip strength checker to make people measure their grip strength easily, based on standardized grip strength checker chart. Method: In this study, we measured right hand grip strength of 80 women residents of Deajeon (women in their 30s to 60s, 20 in each) 2 times per day for 5days in same conditions from 20th of November 2010 to 24th of November. it was measured by Jamar Hydraculic Hand Dynamometer made lately to compare with the current measuring equipment. No matter how big their hands are, their hands were fixed at second level. Measured as they sit on a chair and let their shoulders gathered and not be rotated, let their arms be 90 degree, wrist and forearm be at the middle for the first time, and took another after they took a rest, and measured the average of the two. Result: There was not a meaningful difference between the current measuring equipment and the equipment made lately (p>.05). Conclusion: It is thought that the equipment made lately can be believed. In addition, we want people to realize their own grip strength easily by this study.
