공동주택에서 발코니 확장형이 에너지소비에 미치는 영향 (Energy Consumption on Balcony Remodeling Type in an Apartment House)

  • The percentage of apartment houses in residential buildings has increased every year, and it result in higher energy consumption of residential buildings. After the house law could be amended to legalize the remodeling of the balcony, buyers and contractors prefer to choose the balcony remodeling type when they choose a house for installment sale. Many construction companies design an apartment house considering balcony remodeling. So, this paper compares the balcony remodeling type with the basic type(prior to remodeling balcony) by using the building energy rating system tool. The balcony remodeling type consumes heating energies more than the basic type, and is unable to receive high rating. If the balcony is remodeled, it is required to improve the performance of wall and window and reduce the area of remodeling balcony.

노인요양시설의 거주공간 구성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Residential Space Organization of the Elderly Care Facilities)

  • Recently the elderly care facilities have increased according to the increase in the needs of the elderly care. However architectural studies of elderly facilities still leave much to be desired. The results of this thesis are as follows 1) There are three types of residential unit for elderly care facility such as the linear-type, and loop-type, the hall-type. 2) In the elderly care facilities, staffs' affairs are not separated distinctively, instead all of them join the service for the elders. 3) Since both case being easy and being difficult to find a way for elders are decided by the type of the building, space organization should be planned to be recognized the way for elders and organized straightly with joint area between buildings. This study analyzes the effects of the movement and the moving line of elders and staffs for the estimation of each residential space unit. The purpose of this study is to propose residential space organization of the elderly care facilities.

  • Before incorporating the earthquake-resistance design in design code(998), most of existing residential buildings were built without having lateral resistance capacity in addition to their structural peculiarity such as exterior stair ways, exterior elevator room. For these reasons, the retrofitting research demands for existing buildings arise recently and many retrofitting methods are proposed. These tasks are important to reduce the enormous economic loss and environmental issues. In this study, Scaled residential buildings with/without lateral resistance were tested and monitored with external lateral load especially toward the longer side of the building. From these experiments, enhanced retrofitting methods of old shear wall system are proposed and also compared with structural analysis.

  • Geothermal heat pump system using standing column wells as their ground heat exchanger can be used as a highly efficient source of heating and cooling in massive buildings. But there is no case of a small scale residential house. So this study estimated heating coefficient of performance(COP) of geothermal heat pump system using standing column well type which is excellent in heat recovery in the residential house. As a result of analysis, The COP of heat pump is over average 6 and is excellent. And in consequence of making a comparative study according to the bleeding, the cop is higher in the case of bleeding. Therefore, bleeding affects the performance of the system. This study has shown performance result that stands on actual data. Therefore, this study provides ground data that needs when a low capacity of system designs for a residence with confidence elevation.

  • A high-rise Mixed-use building is a multi-purpose which has commercial, business and residential uses. In Korea, after the middle of 1990's, the rate of residential parts was Increased to 90%. Now, the residential parts finally bacame mainly. And residental spaces are more important than before. Residential spaces are according to variety trends such in their areas. Some companies have several interior design trend in their building. They sometimes use the interior trend when to sell their goods(apartments) in their macketing. Modern design is presented in almost dwelling-units-types. But Classic type is presented in large-units-types. Minimal design is presented in only some middle-units-type as well as in the cases of the companies having definite interior trend. Interior design trend is one another factor in dwelling spaces design.

인동간격에 따른 일조환경에 대한 연구 (A Study on Sunshine Environment with Different Distance between Buildings)

  • Apartment design in residential Area is restricted by building distance limit code. Building distance limit decreases gradually to the 0.8H(height), and residential area has 250% site area ratio by building code, so site using has become efficient. In this study, examine the relationship between present building distance limit and right of daylighting environment by computer simulation. As well, high-rise residential officetel and multipurpose residential building becomes increase in commercial non-residential area. In the domestic, residential type multipurpose building made at the business area or central business area has 400∼800% site area ratio by building code. However, at a dweller's point of view, there are much lacks of environmental consideration to provide suitable daylighting environment. And, POE: Post Occupancy Evaluation is not completed yet. In this study, however, progress architectural environment prediction, basis by right of daylighting, and examine the possibility of daylighting by architectural distance limit code in residental area and by high-rise, high-density residential building in non-residental downtown area.

주거건물의 냉방 부하 패턴에 따른 구체축열시스템 운전 방안 (Operating Mode of Thermally Activated Building System (TABS) for Residential Buildings According to their Cooling Load Profile)

  • Compared to Packaged Terminal Air Conditioning Systems, Radiant Cooling Systems have the advantage of energy saving and thermal comfort. Thermally Activated Building System (TABS) is one of the radiant heating and cooling systems. The main difference between TABS and other radiant systems lies in the usage of the time-lag effect of storing heat energy in the concrete. Current energy usage in summer time is concentrated within a specific time by using Packaged Terminal Air-Conditioner (PTAC). Due to the time-lag effect of TABS, energy usage can be distributed to other time zones. To maximize this effect, it is important to determine the appropriate operating mode, which for TABS is dependent upon the cooling load generated by the occupancy schedule. In this study, occupancy schedules are determined for various residential types. The operating modes of TABS for these residential types are estimated by using a dynamic computational simulation method. The results indicate that the operating modes of TABS can be determined by residential type and occupancy schedule. The load handled ratio by TABS is set up differently according to the cooling load profile obtained from residential type and occupancy schedule. By using TABS, energy consumption could be reduced by 20% compared to PTAC.

풍하중 산정을 위한 한반도 단독주택의 대표유형 선정 (A Selection of Representative Type the Korean Peninsula Detached Dwelling for Estimate the Wind Load)

  • As the damages due to natural disasters continue to increase, a growing interest is being witnessed in such studies that focus on preventive measures to reduce damages rather than on their recovery. As such, the U.S. has been actively conducting projects to develop new models that can forecast potential damages due to natural disasters and widely employing them in actual cases. With no specific models developed in Korea yet, this study aimed to introduce an overseas typhoon model as part of the advanced efforts and apply it the actual cases occurring across the nation. This model estimates wind loads by measuring the impact of a strong wind upon buildings, and measurements require a number of parameters. Those parameters should include the types and dimensions of buildings and the type of the roofs. As for the FPHLM(Florida Public Hurricane Loss Model), a precedent model for our study, we were able to take advantage of number of the statistics and detailed categorizations on the residential buildings in the U.S., which enabled us to select the representative building types and produce their wind loads. With no sufficient relevant statistics available for the nation, however, we may not be able to readily measure the wind loads on the nation's residential buildings. Therefore, this study tried to choose the representative types, heights and dimensions of the buildings for the measurement of wind loads. We consequently came up with a representative house having an area between 62.81 and $95.56m^2$, either a flat roof or hip roof, a height of 2.6 m, an side ratio of 1.5, and the width and length of the mean $85m^2$ sized house being 11,300 mm and 7,530 mm, respectively.

필로티형 저층 내력벽주택의 내진설계 고려사항 (Considerations for Seismic Design of Low-Rise Residential Bearing Wall Buildings with Pilotis)

  • In this study, the results of an analytical investigation on the seismic behavior of two residential 4-story bearing wall buildings with pilotis, each of which has symmetric or unsymmetric wall arrangement at their piloti level, are presented. The dynamic characteristics and lateral resistance of the piloti buildings were investigated through linear elastic and nonlinear static analyses. According to the results, the analytical natural period of vibration of the piloti buildings were significantly shorter than the fundamental period calculated in accordance with KBC 2016. In the initial elastic behavior, the walls resisting in-plane shear contributed to the lateral stiffness and strength, while the contribution of columns resisting flexural moments in double curvature was limited. However, after the shear cracking and yielding of the walls occurred, the columns significantly contributed to the residual strength and ductility. Based on those investigations, design recommendations of low-rise bearing wall buildings with piloti configuration are given.

청주 구도심내 주택유형별 분포 및 규모특성에 관한 연구 (Distribution Patterns and Habitable Floor Area by House Types in Traditional Urban Area of Cheong ju)

  • The new apartments has been rapidly built through the outskirts of Cheong-ju city since the latter half of 1980's. So, the population decreased in Seong-an dong and Jung-ang dong which are located in traditional urban area of Cheong-ju. Also, residential areas became obsolete and residential buildings happened to be vacant and empty. For urban rehabilitation, the city authorities will construct the high-rise complex housings with stores in the traditional urban area. We have doubts about whether the rapid change of new housing construction is right or not. Therefore, It is necessary to give a correct diagnosis of the present state from urban atrophy, keeping this area sustainable with traditionality and locality. This study is to examine and analysis in detail distribution patterns and habitable floor area by house types in Seong-an dong and Jung-ang dong which are located in traditional urban area of Cheong-ju. The result are as follows; the residential buildings as the 2,680 houses(including detached and apartment houses) and the 804 shop houses are distributed with 3,484(67%) of the whole 5,183 buildings and form 28percent of the whole floor areas. A distribution and area ratio of houses to shop houses is irrespectively about 76 : 24percent. The average floor area is represented with $66m^2$/household and $28.5m^2$/person. It shows that a hollowing out of urban area has caused the surplus of residential buildings and floor areas.
