표준시방서 및 설비설계기준의 개정현황에 관한 고찰 (A Investigation on the Present state of Code of Design and Specification for Building Mechanical Engineering)

  • The purpose of this code is to relate the various controllable factors to the comfort and well-being of the people using the building, so that the requirements of the system may be specified to the designers and the constructor. This study deals with the work involved in design and installation of residential mechanical ventilation. The recommendations made in this code recognize the need to optimize the use of energy, reduce hazards and minimize effects detrimental to the environment. This code was prepared by a committee convened by SAREK. The code provides broad guidance only on certain topics. The titles of standard and code referred to in this code are listed on the reference.

이동식 사다리 이해관계자 집단 심층인터뷰를 통한 안정성 개선 모델 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of Stability Improvement Model for Portable Ladders through In-depth Interviews on Stakeholders)

  • Portable ladders are widely used as ascend and descend pathways and platforms for works at height at residential and industrial sites. In the last 10 years, 267 fatalities and 36,571 accidents related to portable ladders have been reported, suggesting a need to develop countermeasures to prevent such accidents. In this study, an in-depth focus group interview (FGI) was conducted with various stakeholders of portable ladders to survey the current usage and requirements for improving work safety. A new portable ladder called active platform ladder was developed based on the requirements suggested by the FGI. A stability test confirmed that the developed ladder is more stable than conventional ones, suggesting that it can reduce the fall accidents.

  • 도심지의 대형 공사를 그것도 짧은 공기 내에 수행함에 있어 가장 중요한 과제로 부각되는 것은 건설 주요 자원의 효율적인 관리이다. 즉 자재, 인원, 장비 등의 적기적소 조달이 주요 관리 항목이 되고 있다. 또한, 자원의 적기적소 조달을 위한 생산 단계별 생산주체간의 효율적인 정보의 교환은 성공적인 공사 수행에 절대적인 영향을 끼치게 된다. 따라서 이러한 정보를 효율적으로 관리하여 주요 자원을 조달, 운반, 양중, 적치, 설치 각 단계별로 관리할 수 있도록 하는 주요 자원 관리 시스템의 개발이 필수적이다 본 연구에서는 자동차 제조 산업 등 타 산업분야에서 성공적으로 사용된 적시생산의 기본적인 원리와 정보전달기법, 즉 간판시스템의 기본개념을 응용하여 건설프로젝트 자원정보관리시스템을 개발하였다. 또한, 이 시스템을 콘크리트 타설 공사에 적용하였다. 현장의 콘크리트 공사 흐름을 분석한 후, 가치흐름맵핑(VSM)을 통해 정보관리 개선 후 개선모델(FSM)을 제시하고, 이를 실제 초고층주상복합 건물현장의 자원정보관리에 적용하였다. 또한 현장 적용 시 도출된 적용성 등 문제점을 보완하여, 시스템의 추후 사용성을 제고하였다.

직장인의 시간활동 양상 평가 (Assessment of Time Activity Pattern for Workers)

  • Personal exposure relies on characteristics of time activity patterns of the population of concern as human activities impact the timing, location, and level of personal exposure. The information about time spent in microenvironments plays a critical role for personal exposure to air pollutants. It is useful to determine the precise times of the day that the subjects are in certain locations or engaging in specific activities because exposure to some air pollutants can depend on temporal trends. This study investigated time activity pattern for workers of Korean population over 19 years old with 8,778 workers in weekday. The residential indoor times were 12 hours. Time activity was different by gender and the mean times stayed at home in weekday were 12.9 hours in female and 11.42 hours in male, respectively. The major factors on residential indoor time and workplace time were age, monthly income, occupation and industry type, work position, education, and gender. Considering shorter than those in other countries, Korean workers spent less time at home after the working hours. Determinants of time activity pattern need to be taken into account in exposure assessment, epidemiological analyses, exposure simulations, as well as in the development of preventive strategies. Since there are substantial difference of Korean worker activity pattern, this information can be critical for exposure assessment in Korea.

포괄적 주택개념에 기초한 장애인 및 노인주거 계획요소 (Planning Factor of the Housing for the Disabled and Aged based on the Inclusive Housing)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the planning factors of housing for the disabled and elderly based on the inclusive housing design as sustainable neighborhood. The goal of inclusive design is to make buildings and communities more livable for all type of people. Inclusive design should embrace other good design goals and reinforce them, not work against them. To carry out this purpose, we should proceed in the following way: First, we deducted the four design factors (the basic, recommendable, adaptable, and residential factors) by reviewing the characteristics of inclusive housing concepts. Second, we analyzed the related foreign design standards and guidelines such as the ICC/ANSI A117.1 Type C Units (the United States, 2009), Lifetime Standard (the United Kingdom, 2010), and Livable Housing Design Guideline (the Australian, 2010) through four design factors based on inclusive design concepts. Finally, we suggested the housing design factors for the disabled and the elderly in Korea. To conclude, we can make the followings: It is important basic factor that the bedroom and bathroom layout closed to each other. Also, the bedroom has the proper height of light switches, outlets, and windows. The recommendable factors take into consideration stairs and ramp, if existent. The adaptable factors are closely related to domestic housing culture as well as residential factors. Proceeding from this fact, the livability for people with disabilities and older requires accessibility and adaptability that take into account public and efficiency considering the current trend of housing development and urban planning.

Visual Cues As a Predictor for Better Design: An Integrated Approach to Observers' Evaluation of Aesthetic Beauty

  • In order to examine theoretical underpinnings of preference for built forms, 129 subjects are asked to rate a series of 9 slides of residential houses depicting a wide range of architectural styles on a 5 point scale, for coherence, complexity, excitement, familiarity, and natural harmony, respectively. Based on Lee's (2002a, 2002b) two previous studies addressing the issue of aesthetic beauty evaluation for man-made creatures (e.g., residential housing scenes), this study summarizes several meaningful findings. As reported by all the subjects, first, both "desire to visit" and "desire to live in" turned out to be a good predictor of preference as the two measures are highly correlated in statistically significant levels (99.9%). People who desire to visit a spot are more likely to desire to live in it. Second, Pearson's correlations showed that coherence is the opposite end of complexity. The more likely a housing setting is hanging together, the less likely it looks to be complex. Overall, though, it is not clear that the two variables work directly in that way, as weighted on preference ratings. That is, coherence and complexity are likely to be totally two independent systems that affect the ratings of preference. Third, both excitement and environmental sensitivity (e.g., harmony of a house with its surrounding nature) most highly account for the preference for various housing scenes, while familiarity has only a little effect on preference ratings. Possibly, people like or dislike a visual thing, no matter how much they are familiar with it. Finally, this study suggested that design professionals could communicate effectively with their clients if sets of visual standards as an appropriate communication tool for better design are properly established.

서울시 토지이용 용도 특성 분석 -2008년 서울시 용도별 건축물 연면적의 분포를 중심으로- (Analyzing the Landuse Characteristics in Seoul -Focused on Distribution of the Building Area in 2008-)

  • 본 연구는 서울시를 대상으로 건축물 연면적 비율을 이용하여 토지이용 용도 특성이 어떻게 분포하고 있으며, 개발밀도와는 어떠한 상관관계를 가지고 있는지 분석하여 토지이용의 용도 관리가 필요함을 제기 하였다. 건축물 연면적 비율을 이용한 군집분석결과 서울시는 연립주택 등을 위주로 한 저층공동주택지역과 아파트 위주의 고층공동주택지역의 특성을 나타내는 지역이 대부분이며, 업무지역이나 공업지역 등은 극히 일부 지역에 집중되어 있었다. 이 중 도심일대의 업무지역은 강남지역의 업무지역과는 달리 주거면적과 상주인구가 부족하여 도심공동화를 초래할 우려가 있어 용도에 대한 관리가 필요함이 나타났다. 뉴타운사업 등 재개발 재건축으로 인해 서울의 고밀화는 서울시 전역으로 확대될 것으로 예상되어 지역특성을 고려한 개발이 필요함을 제기하였으며, 업무용도가 분포하며 도로여건이 비교적 양호한 공장지역은 주거환경을 개선하여 직주근접을 유도할 수 있을 것으로 분석되었다.

  • The new millennium has started with several innovations driven by fast evolution of the technologies in energy sector. A strong impulse towards the diffusion of new economical efficient technologies regulatory incentives related to energy production from renewable source and a small scale building trigeneration and to promotion of more sustainable environmental-friendly generation solutions, the evolution of electricity markets, more and more binding local emission constraints, and the need for improving the security of supply to reduce the energy system vulnerability. The 24 percentage energy quantify of total energy consumption consumes in commercial buildings and residential houses and the 30% portion of total $CO_2$ emissions covers also in the commercial buildings and residential houses sector. To cope with efficiently this energy sinuation in building sector, Building microgrid or building tooling, heating & power(BCHP) system has been interested in recent day due to meeting thermal and electric energy requirements efficiently and with appropriate energy quality. A multi agent system is a collective of intelligent agents that communicate with each other and work cooperatively to achieve common goals. Also, it is to medicate and coordinate communication between Control Areas and Security Coordinators for teal-time control of the BCHP system and the power pid. In this new circumstance, it is very important to integrate the power and energy delivery system and the information system(communication, networks, and intelligent equipment) that controls it. Therefore, development of smart control modules with open communication protocol and seamlessly interchange the data and information between control network and data network including extranet and intranet give a great meanings. We designed and developed the TCP/IP-CAN IED agent modules and ModBus./LonTalk/(TCP/IP) IED agent ones to configure the multi-agent system based smart energy network of commercial buildings and also intelligent algorithms for inverter fault diagnostics which ran be operated in control level or agent level network.

한국 대도시의 도시화 특성 : 이동, 통근자 자료 분석을 통한 도시화 단계의 실증적 검토 (Urbanization of Large Cities in Korea : Assessing Development Stages using Migration and Commuting data)

  • 최근 산업도시 성장 이후 탈산업화 시대에 전개되는 새로운 도시화에 대한 논의가 포스트모던 도시, 소비도시 등으로 다양하게 전개된다. 도시화의 단계적 접근에서는 인구 변화와 이동에 기초하여 거대도시는 도시화의 후기 단계인 재도시화를 경험하고 있으며, 이러한 도시화 단계는 시차를 두고 점진적으로 하위 규모 도시에서 나타날 것으로 추정된다. 그러나 산업 재구조화는 인구 규모만으로는 포착되지 않는 새로운 도시화 특성을 유발할 것으로, 본 연구는 한국 대도시의 도시화 특성을 이동, 통근 인구 그리고 이들의 지리적, 사회적 특성에 기초하여 검토하였다. 대도시별 도시화 경험은 다르게 나타나는데, 서울은 단계적 도시화 과정을 거치지만, 다른 대도시들은 산업도시와 탈산업도시로의 전이에서 다양한 모습을 드러낸다. 특히, 지방 대도시의 경우 산업 기반의 교외화가 이루어졌으나 중심 도시의 편리한 주거, 생활 환경으로 중심 도시에 거주하며 주변으로 역통근하는 인구가 늘고 중장년층의 경제활동 가구가 대도시로 유입되며 주거 기능이 새로운 도시의 역할로 확대되는데, 이는 한국 대도시의 새로운 도시화 특성이라 하겠다.

스마트 장기요양 애플리케이션의 사용자 만족도 개선방안 도출: 심층 인터뷰와 토픽 모델링 활용 (User Satisfaction Enhancement of 'Smart Long-Term Care' Mobile Application: In-depth Interview and Topic Modeling)

  • Two dominant phenomena in modern world; population ageing and digitalization, have led public sector organizations to heavily rely on B2C(Business-to-Consumer) mobile applications. Yet, fatal concerns and complaints have often been raised by the mobile application users, notably from social welfare sector. With the continual expansion of digital landscape as well as the growth of life expectancy, usage of mobile applications has become prevalent across the stakeholders involved in social welfare sector. 'Smart Long-Term Care (SLTC)', inter alia, is a primary example of such mobile applications, designed to support Long-Term Residential Care (LTRC) service. The main goal of SLTC is to serve more convenient and practical LTRC service for both caregivers and care receivers. To examine user satisfaction of SLTC mobile application, this study investigates existing challenges and means to improve user satisfaction. Hence, we conducted this study using two methods: in-depth interview and topic modeling. Interestingly, two research outcomes commonly indicated that 5 factors (stability, accessibility, usefulness, responsiveness, and ease of use) were found significant in affecting user satisfaction of SLTC. Our findings suggest that the aforementioned factors can be seen as potential causes of the genuinely low user satisfaction. Eventually, this work will be a stepping-stone to elevate the overall quality level of LTRC service along with the user satisfaction degree of SLTC mobile application.
