The purpose of this research is to clarify the valuable industrial heritages of rice mill industry complex remained in Incheon. In order to clarify the formation of integrated historical setting of rice mill industry of Incheon, we analyzed the old map of Incheon's old Jemulpo area and data on address, locations and happenings surrounding rice mill factories and relevant facilities. From here, we could find out the 4 representative rice mill industry area of integrated historical setting and 2 other supporting service area for rice mill industry in old city center of Incheon. Specifically, we could figure out the incremental stages to establish the rice mill industry in Incheon. In the first stage, the rice mill factories were established near foreign settlement area where trading offices and warehouses were equipped. And the second stage reflect the needs of expanding area for Japanese capitalism with the new landfill area. In the final stage, Korean rice mill owners established the korean laborers community near Korean residential area. This formation of integrated historical setting reflecting Incheon's rice mill industry is the identical industrial heritages and urban structures to show the tension and conflict between Japanese and Korean laborers' life in the Japanese Colonial Period.

The study of related architecture together with Gosan Yun Seon-do has been studied variously early, Mostly, the study of the life of Haenam Yun clan(海南尹氏) and the life of Gosan Yun Seon-do. In this study, HaeNam Yun compares the houses under the roof of the public house centered on buildings. In this study, we compare and analyze Nogudang House and Gongjae Historic House(恭齋古宅), Yun Cheol-ha's Historic House(尹哲夏古宅) in the Haenam Yun clan's house building. Analyze the characteristics of architecture and analyze changes in space usage and components and settlement process. The purpose of this study is to clarify differences in structural features and to analyze what structural characteristics maintain structural characteristics. In the comparative analysis process, architectural characteristics are used as variables and each correlation is investigated, and shape difference is analyzed by difference analysis. In addition, the architectural characteristics are analyzed by analyzing the relational factors influencing the morphological change, focusing on the results of the analysis of differences between the comparative analysis objects.

Two destructive earthquakes occurred on October 23 and November 9, 2011 in Van province of Turkey. The damage in residential units shows significant deviation from the expectation of decreasing damage with increasing distance to epicenter. The most damaged settlement Ercis has the same distance to the epicenter with Muradiye, where no damage occurred while relatively less damage observed in Van having half distance. These three cities seem to have resembling soil conditions. If the damages are evaluated: joint failures and insufficient lap splice lengths are observed to be the main causes of the total collapses in RC buildings. Additionally, low concrete strength, reinforcement detailing mistakes, soft story, heavy overhang, pounding and short columns are among other damage reasons. Examples of damages due to non-structural elements are also given. Remarkable points about seismic damages are: collapsed buildings with shear-walls, heavily damaged buildings despite adequate concrete strength due to detailing mistakes, undamaged two-story adobe buildings close to totally collapsed RC ones and undamaged structural system in buildings with heavily damaged non-structural elements. On the contrary of the common belief that buildings with shear-walls are immune to total collapse among civil engineers, collapse of Gedikbulak primary school is a noteworthy example.

In 2018, the Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea introduced a new system that registers national cultural heritage in street and district units. Yeongju City's Modern Historical and Cultural District was selected as the first trial region. This grouping method breaks through conservation and utilization limitations of cultural heritage in individual building units. Thus, the issue is how will such historical and cultural spaces be grouped, conserved and managed. Hence, this study identifies the current situation of buildings in the Modern Historical and Cultural Street of Yeongju and conducts an experimental survey. Based on this, the types of modern architecture were classified, and the architectural groups were extracted and categorized to preserve and utilize the architecture. For these purposes, priority groups were determined by evaluating them based on five criteria: archetype, placeness, politicalness, typicality and originality. The modern architecture in the Modern Historical and Cultural Street of Yeongju have undergone many changes. The residential transformation of small and medium-sized cities during modern times can be understood as a process of settlement and nativization.

Among Korea's national folk cultural heritage, eight villages have been designated, and 37 years have passed since Hahoe Village was first designated in 1984. All eight villages have been constantly inhabited by residents from the past to the present, so the cultural value of inferring the lives of our ancestors in the past is very high. However, due to the inconvenience of the settlement environment in existing houses due to changes in the living environment, buildings such as various residential facilities and warehouses have been installed and expanded without permission, losing the original cultural property landscape and building. In addition, complaints and conflicts from residents are accumulating due to the poor living environment in the village. Therefore, this study intends to present guidelines for conservation and maintenance that can embrace changes in resident's housing and living environment, based on the 'maintenance of original form', the grand principle of the Cultural Properties Protection Law about the Jeju Seongeup Village. In particular, the maintenance plan is largely subdivided into legalization, demolition, expansion and reconstruction, and detailed standards for each item and examples applied are proposed. Through this, it aims to become basic data on the starting point of realistic improvement measures for cultural properties and residents to coexist.
Much attention has been focused on the Baekpoman area due to the archaeological achievements of the past, but studies on prehistoric times when villages began to form is insufficient, and the Bronze Age village landscape was examined in order to supplement this. In the area of Baekpo Bay, the natural geographical limit connected to the inland was culturally confirmed by the distribution density of dolmens, and the generality of the Bronze Age settlement was confirmed with the Hwangsan-ri settlement. Bunto Village in Hwangsan-ri represents a farming-based village in the Baekpo Bay area, and the residential group and the tomb group are located on the same hill, and it is composed of three individual residential groups, and the village landscape had attached buildings used as warehouses and storage facilities. In the area of Baekpo Bay, it spread in the Tamjin River basin and the Yeongsan River basin where Songgukri culture and dolmen culture were integrated, and the density distribution of the villages was considered to correspond to the distribution density of dolmens. In order to examine the landscape of village distribution, the classification of Sochon-Jungchon-Daechon was applied, and it was classified as Sochon, a sub-unit constituting the village, in that the number of settlements constituting the village in the Bronze Age was mostly less than five. There are numerical differences between Jungchon and Daechon, and the distribution pattern does not necessarily coincide with the hierarchy. The three individual residential groups of Bunto Village in Hwangsan-ri are Jungchon composed of complex communities of blood relatives with each family community, and a stabilized village landscape was created in the Gusancheon area. In the area of Baekpo Bay, Bronze Age villages formed a landscape in which small villages were scattered around the rivers and formed a single-layered relationship. Dolmens (tombs) were formed between the villages and villages, and seem to have coexisted. Sochondeul is a family community based on agriculture, and it is believed that self-sufficient stabilized rural villages that live by acquiring various wild resources in rivers, mountains, and the sea formed a landscape.

The increase in telecommuting and household electricity demand due to the pandemic has led to significant changes in electricity demand patterns. This has led to difficulties in identifying KEPCO's PPA (power purchase agreements) and residential solar power generation and has added to the challenges of electricity demand forecasting and grid operation for power exchanges. Unlike other energy resources, electricity is difficult to store, so it is essential to maintain a balance between energy production and consumption. A shortage or overproduction of electricity can cause significant instability in the energy system, so it is necessary to manage the supply and demand of electricity effectively. Especially in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the importance of data has increased, and problems such as large-scale fires and power outages can have a severe impact. Therefore, in the field of electricity, it is crucial to accurately predict the amount of power generation, such as renewable energy, along with the exact demand for electricity, for proper power generation management, which helps to reduce unnecessary power production and efficiently utilize energy resources. In this study, we reviewed the renewable energy generation forecasting system, its objectives, and practical applications to construct optimal aggregated power resources using data from 169 power plants provided by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, developed an aggregation algorithm considering the settlement of the forecasting system, and applied it to the analytical logic to synthesize and interpret the results. This study developed an optimal aggregation algorithm and derived an aggregation configuration (Result_Number 546) that reached 80.66% of the maximum settlement amount and identified plants that increase the settlement amount (B1783, B1729, N6002, S5044, B1782, N6006) and plants that decrease the settlement amount (S5034, S5023, S5031) when aggregating plants. This study is significant as the first study to develop an optimal aggregation algorithm using aggregated power resources as a research unit, and we expect that the results of this study can be used to improve the stability of the power system and efficiently utilize energy resources.

Urban railway lines have been constructed adjacent to residential buildings and urban areas. The expansion of transportation networks and reconstruction of residential buildings in highly populated urban areas require deep excavations in areas adjacent to urban railways. Mobilized soil stresses and changes in the groundwater level induced by deep excavations results in track irregularities in urban railways. In this study, a three-dimensional finite difference model using the commercial program FLAC3D was adopted to estimate the horizontal displacements of earth retaining structures, settlements of backfill, the stability of track irregularity and underground box structure based on the criteria of each railway organization and its relationships. In deep excavations, a change in groundwater level induces relatively very small differences for track gauge irregularities, whereas relatively large differences for longitudinal irregularities of 72.5%, twist irregularities of 83.3%, cross level irregularities of 61.9%, and alignments of 43.3% were found to be the maximum differences when the horizontal displacement of earth retaining wall and settlement of backfill were 65.1% and 21.4%, respectively, because the groundwater level (GWL) on the ground surface-mobilized tensile strength of the underground box structure exceeds the allowable value. Therefore, three-dimensional numerical analysis was performed in this study. Overall, real-time monitoring should be carried out to prevent railway accidents in advance when a deep excavation adjacent to urban railway structures is constructed.
This research was designed to compare the health condition and the quality of life of the elderly inpatients with those of the normal elderly people. The subjects of study were 482 elderly inpatients and 304 normal elderly people. The research was conducted in July and August using the instrument WHOQOL. The results of the research are as follows: For the level of health, it was recognized that male was healthier than female, having higher the education, living in the city rather than in the rural, keeping the normal life than being in the hospital. There were little difference in the past medical histories of the elderly inpatients and the normal elderly people. As to the diseases currently under the treatment, there were some difference between the elderly inpatients and the normal elderly people but the tendency was similar in the kinds and the frequencies. As to the recognition for the quality of life between the elderly inpatients and the normal elderly people based on the records reflected on each of the domains of WHOQOL, the normal elderly people more positively recognized in the overall quality of life and the following domains: physical, psychological, level of independence, and spirituality/religion/personal beliefs. The normal elderly people more positively recognized especially in the level of independence domain (mobility, activities of daily living, dependence on medication or treatments, working capacity). In the social relationships domain only the sexual activity was significant and the normal elderly people more positively recognized. The elderly inpatients showed the correlation of over 0.5 in the overall quality of life and the following domains: environment, social relationships, physical, psychological, level of independence. It was over 0.6 in the physical domain and the domains of psychological and level of independence. and the psychological domains of level of independence and social relationships. For the points of overall quality of life, it had no correlation with hospitalization but the health condition, residential district, occupation, and taste exerted a significant effect. As a result of separate analyses of the elderly inpatients and the normal elderly people, the health condition and the age only were the common variable which would exercise a significant effect. Besides, the primary factors which would exercise the quality of life were the occupation and taste for the elderly inpatients, and the residential district and source of income for the normal elderly people. In conclusion, it is first and foremost important to improve the standard of health for the overall quality of life for the elderly people, regardless of hospitalization. Therefore, a plan must be urgently drawn up for revitalization of the health promoting projects for the elderly people and the public health projects for the elderly people, and the investment must be increased for settlement of health problems of the elderly people.
Since the first five-year economic plan starting in 1962, Korea has pursued the policy of economic growth emphasing on the export-oriented industrialization. As a result of export-oriented industrialization, national economy, as a whole, has leveled up. But growth gap between rural and urban area became widened due to declining agricultural sector. Therefore, at this time, development policy for the agriculture should be changed into the broader plan including the welfare of rural residents in order to improve their living conditions. The results of this study are summarized as follows ; 1. The results of survey shows that only 15.5% of rural residents satisfy their rural lives and that 62.8% of residents want to leave their town. Difficulty of educating their children in rural area is found to be major reasons for moving out 2. The results of surveying the demand for rural development by rural residents are figured as follows ; (1) Industrial-economic development - Agricultural development : 38.4% - Rural industrialization development : 23.4% - Farm machinization : 162% (2) Social development for rural residents - Improvement of rural welfare : 33.4% - Expansion rural organization for development : 25.8% - Improvement of educational circumstances : 20.1% (3) Living conditions - Amelioration of community and housing facilities : 55.1% - Disposal facilities for trash : 20.5% As the surveying results show, it can be concluded that rural residential area development project must be enforced to meet demand for the development for rural residents.
