In this study we propose an automatic reading system for diagnostic DNA chips. We define a general specification for an automatic reading system and propose a possible implementation method. The proposed system performs the whole reading process automatically without any user intervention, covering image acquisition, image analysis, and report generation. We applied the system for the automatic report generation of a commercialized DNA chip for cervical cancer detection. The fluorescence image of the hybridization result was acquired with a $GenePix^{TM}$ scanner using its library running in HTML pages. The processing of the acquired image and the report generation were executed by a component object module programmed with Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0. To generate the report document, we made an HWP 2002 document template with marker strings that were supposed to be searched and replaced with the corresponding information such as patient information and diagnosis results. The proposed system generates the report document by reading the template and changing the marker strings with the resultant contents. The system is expected to facilitate the usage of a diagnostic DNA chip for mass screening by the automation of a conventional manual reading process, shortening its processing time, and quantifying the reading criteria.

This paper analyzes the impact of CSR on the capital market in Korea. Using listed firm data, we found that the creation of a sustainability report that indirectly measures the level of CSR can bring the stock rate of return difference of the capital markets representative market index. First, when a firm that publishes a sustainability report was compared in terms of its market rate of return, it showed a return increase of about 2%. We found that higher returns were gained through the competitive advantage of related business when the firm was actively involved in social responsibility. Second, subdivided by industry, firms belonging to the capital goods industry were found to reach a rate of return higher than that of industry. These firms were noticeable in that they were mainly industries that caused environmental pollution. Third, in an additional analysis, foreign investors were given the sustainability report of financial businesses, which was interpreted as a result of industrial properties. A sustainability report is a comprehensive report on the economic, environmental, and social activities of a firm. Firms must learn that they can gain trust through publishing trustworthy reports while achieving the lasting power of growth from the stakeholders.

Purpose: This study examined differences in perceptions and intention to report on elder abuse between nurses and elderlies. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was used. The participants were 301 nurses and 326 elderlies (>60 years) living in Seoul. Data were collected by convenience sampling. The research instrument utilized in this study to measure perceptions and intention to report were 11 of 12 scenarios adapted by Yoo & Kim from Moon and Williams(1993). Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, Chi-Square and Pearson's correlation. Results: The mean score of perceptions on elder abuse was 3.11 for nurses and 2.98 for elderlies. The most severely perceived type of abuse was sexual abuse, followed by physical abuse, neglect, financial abuse, and emotional abuse. Statistically significant group differences were evident in perceptions of elder abuse in six of the scenarios and in all scenarios for intention to report. Conclusions: Differences in perceptions and intention to report on elder abuse between nurses and elderlies should be considered in developing effective measures in prevention and intervention of elder abuse.

Not only in aviation industry but also in other industries, safety data plays a key role to improve the level of safety performance. By analyzing safety data such as aviation safety report (text data), hazard can be identified and removed before it leads to a tragic accident. However, pre-processing of raw data (or natural language data) collected from each site should be carried out first to utilize proactive or predictive safety management system. As air traffic volume increases, the amount of data accumulated is also on the rise. Accordingly, there are clear limitation in analyzing data directly by manpower. In this paper, a topic prediction model for aviation safety mandatory report is proposed. In addition, the prediction accuracy of the proposed model was also verified using actual aviation safety mandatory report data. This research model is meaningful in that it not only effectively supports the current aviation safety mandatory report analysis work, but also can be applied to various data produced in the aviation safety field in the future.

This paper aims to analyze the perception of university students for the extreme heat watch warning and suggest the usefulness of special weather reports. For this, we have made up a descriptive questionnaires including the perception, mass media, usefulness and satisfaction of special weather report. Using the SPSS 17.0 program, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Scheffe test were used to analyze the collected data. The result are as follows; The perception of extreme heat watch warning was some low as 59.1 percentile, we think it needs education and public relations about the extreme heat watch warning. The usefulness of special weather report was 66.6 percentile and of girl students of university that was educated about health care was higher than one of boy students of university, it needs continuous education of these students in order to upgrade satisfaction of special report and mitigate the hazard of extreme heat according to climate change. The main media to get the meteorological information of university undergraduate students were TV and Internet, it needed education and development of new contents. From these findings, suggestions are presented to help improve the extreme heat watch warning.

본 연구는 간호대학생을 대상으로 아동체벌에 대한 태도, 아동 권리인식과 아동학대 신고의도와의 관계를 살펴보고, 아동학대 신고의도에 미치는 영향 요인을 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 자료수집은 2023년 4월 1일부터 2023년 6월 30일까지였으며, 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 194명의 간호대학생을 대상으로 조사하였다. 자료분석은 IBM SPSS/WIN 26.0 프로그램을 사용하여 기술적 통계, independent-test와 ANOVA, Scheffe' test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, Multiple Regression analysis를 이용하였다. 본 연구결과 아동체벌에 대한 태도는 아동 권리인식과 아동학대 신고의도와 유의한 음의 상관관계가 나타났으며, 아동 권리인식은 아동학대 신고의도와 양의 상관관계가 나타났다. 아동학대 신고의도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 아동체벌에 대한 태도와 아동학대 신고의도로 총 설명력은 19%였다. 따라서 아동학대 신고의무가 있는 예비 간호사로서 아동학대에 대한 민감성을 높이고 아동학대 신고의도를 향상시키기 위해 아동학대 사례를 경험할 수 있는 교육프로그램을 개발하는 것이 필요하다.

From the 70% EtOH extract of the roots of Astragalus membranaceus (Leguminosae), eleven flavonoid derivatives and a lignan, were isolated and identified as liquiritigenin (1), daidzein (2), formononetin (3), sophorophenolone (4), calycosin (5), methylnissolin (6), isomucronulatol (7), isomucronulatol 7-O-glucoside (8), methylnissolin 3-O-glucoside (9), calycosin 7-O-glucoside (10), (+)-syringaresinol O-${\beta}$-D-glucoside (11), and isomucronulatol 7,2'-di-O-glucoside (12), by spectroscopic methods. This is the second report of the isoflavonoid derivatives sophorophenolone (4) and isomucronulatol 7,2'-di-O-glucoside (12) from a natural source, as well as the first report of compounds liquiritigenin (1), daidzein (2) and (+)-syringaresinol O-${\beta}$-D-glucoside (11) from the species A. membranaceus.

Odontomas are nonaggressive, hamartomatous developmental malformations composed of mature tooth substances and may be compound or complex depending on the extent of morphodifferentiation or on their resemblance to normal teeth. Among them, complex odontomas are relatively rare tumors. They are usually asymptomatic in nature. Occasionally, these tumors become large, causing bone expansion followed by facial asymmetry. Odontoma eruptions are uncommon, and thus far, very few cases of erupted complex odontomas have been reported in the literature. Here, we report the case of an unusually large, painless, complex odontoma located in the right posterior mandible.

Although trisomy 16 is commonly detected in spontaneous abortions and accounts for over 30% of cases of autosomal trisomy detected after spontaneous abortion, trisomy 16 mosaicism is rarely detected by amniocentesis in the second trimester. Here, we report a case of level III trisomy 16 mosaicism (47,XX,+16[8]/46,XX[31]) diagnosed by cytogenetic analysis of independently cultured amniotic fluid cells. The female baby was delivered at full term with low birth weight and intrauterine growth retardation, and interestingly, her karyotype was normal (46,XX). Given the difficulty in predicting the outcomes of fetuses with this mosaicism, it is recommended to inform the possibility of mosaicisms including this trisomy 16 mosaicism during prenatal genetic diagnosis and genetic counseling for parents.

Clinical manifestations of extralymphatic disease caused by filariasis are varied and range from symptoms due to tropical pulmonary eosinophilia to hematuria, proteinuria, splenomegaly, and rarely arthritis. Disseminated microfilaremia in association with loculated lung cyst and empyema is of rare occurrence and to the best of our knowledge has not been documented in the literature so far. We report here a case of disseminated microfilaremia due to Wuchereria bancrofti infection accompanied by a lung cyst and empyema in a 21-year-old Indian man.
