Purpose - The purpose of this study is to reveal the effect of a High Performance Work System(HWPS) on research performance. In addition, this study examines the mediation effect of Innovation Commitment(IC) and the moderated mediation effect of Perceived Organizational Support(POS), and seeks to reveal the antecedents and boundary variables that affect research performance. Design/methodology/approach - The level of analysis is at the individual level. A survey was collected from researchers at government-funded research institutes in the Daejeon and Sejong areas. 265 questionnaires were used in the final statistical analysis. Confirmatory factor analysis was performed using the AMOS 21. Correlation analysis, regression analysis, and bootstrapping by Process Macro were performed using the SPSS 19. Findings - As a result of the study, HWPS has a positive effect on IC, and IC has a positive effect on research performance. Through this results, it was found that IC mediates the relationship between the HPWS and research performance. In addition, POS positively moderated the mediating effect of HPWS on research performance through IC. Research implications or Originality - First, IC can be increased through a HPWS. Second, the effect of the HWPS on individual research performance through IC provides implications that the HWPS can be effectively applied not only to general companies but also to research organizations. Third, the boundary effect of POS was revealed. Fourth, research performance was measured through objective quantitative indicators rather than subjective.

In this study, an attempt was made to propose the establishment of an integrated platform for utilizing research results as one of the measures that can increase the effectiveness of using research results compared to research investment. To this end, the study endeavored to compare and analyze the information services provided by domestic websites and platforms that provide information on the results of national R&D projects. Based on the analysis results, the derived performance utilization platform service direction and performance utilization plan are: 1) establishment of a performance integration platform that integrates the performance information, 2) specification of service users and provision of consumer-oriented services, 3) metadata for linkage of integrated information Standardization, 4) expansion of customized services using the latest technology, and 5) reinforcement of performance data-based analysis services. This study conducted an analysis of literature and about 20 domestic and foreign research performance information providing sites. In future research, there is a need to integrate a unified platform and further analyzed its performance.
Purpose: Research on job crafting has thus far focused on how alter job demand and resources behaviors relate to employee task performance. However, job crafting behaviors do not necessarily have an impact only on task performance, but also on employees' contextual performance, a phenomenon that has little research in job crafting research. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effect of job crafting on task performance or contextual performance and the mediating effect of work engagement between them in the Chinese context. Research design, data and methodology: In order to achieve the above research goals and test the proposed hypotheses, we used a cross-sectional design and a self-administered questionnaire to collect quantitative data from September 8, 2021 to September 27, 2021 among knowledge workers in Shandong Province various financial companies and finally analyzed 211 questionnaires. Descriptive statistics and research model analysis were performed using SPSS 25.0 Version and AMOS 27.0 Version to test the developed hypotheses. Results: The results are as follows; firstly, the study showed that job crafting of employees had a significant positive impact on task performance and contextual performance. Secondly, the higher job crafting of employees, the higher their work engagement. Thirdly, this study showed that work engagement of employees had a positive impact on task performance and contextual performance. Fourthly, we predicted and found that work engagement of employees had a positive mediating effect between job crafting and task performance and a positive mediating effect between job crafting and contextual performance. Overall, this study showed that the proactive job crafting behaviors of employees enhance their engagement for their work, which in turn improves task performance and contextual performance. Conclusions: This paper develops job crafting research by exploring the positive impact of job crafting on employees' task performance or contextual performance through their work engagement. It also proposes that both job crafting behaviors and work engagement are important approaches to improve employees' task performance or contextual performance. Practical implications for organizations, such as increasing employee' work engagement, as well as the limitations and suggestions are concluded for the future research directions.

The research objective was to find out how Total Quality Management (TQM) mediates antecedents of employee performance variables? The research was conducted with a quantitative approach while the research design was cross sectional. The research model was tested using the structural equation modeling approach with partial least square analysis tools to test the influence among research variables. The research sample consisted of 315 respondents who answered a questionnaire in August-September 2019 at manufacturing companies in East Java. The results showed that situational leadership did not affect employee performance, but did affect the successful implementation of TQM. The performance measurement system has no direct effect on employee performance. The performance measurement system has a direct effect on employee performance. Organizational culture has a direct effect on both employee performance and the application of TQM, so that the application of TQM can improve employee performance. TQM implementation variable acts as a mediation between situational leadership and organizational culture on employee performance. The relationship that was originally a direct influence turned into an indirect effect through TQM. The TQM variable is not proven to be an intervening variable between the performance measurement system and employee performance. There is a direct relationship between these two variables.
This research examines performance evaluatees' opinions regarding the current institutional performance evaluation systems of Government S&T Research Institutes (GRIs). Under the current evaluation systems, twenty GRIs are grouped into three Research Groups and each Group has its own evaluation systems. One problem of the current institutional evaluation systems is that the systems cannot reflect individual GRIs' characteristics. The following methods are used. First, based on four perspectives of Kaplan & Norton(1992)'s Balanced Scorecard(BSC) model, six perspectives appropriate to GRUs' characteristics are derived. Second, experts classify current performance evaluation measures into the six perspectives. This enables different evaluation systems of three GRI Research Groups to be compared under the same evaluation measures. Third, GRIs' evaluatees are asked to allocate appropriate weights on the performance measures. Evaluatees' weights of a GRI are compared with average weights of the related Group. Finally in every BSC's perspective, GRIs that have extraordinarily over-scored or under-scored weights are analyzed in terms of GRIs' missions, customers, capability of human resources, etc. In the Basic Research Group, the Korea Basic Science Institute is deviated in the financial perspective and the strategic direction perspectives. In the Public Research Group, Korea Institute of Construction Technology is significantly different from other GRIs in three perspectives. Five out of eight GRIs in the Industrial Research Group, GRIs are significantly different each other in several perspectives. It could be concluded that the current institutional evaluation systems are least appropriate in measuring performance of the GRIs of the Industrial Research Group.

Therefore, We suggest the predictive direction and bivariate relationship of the set of among variables in explaining job performance and emotions.
An increasing number of hospitals are seeking for new or mixed compensation strategies to improve the productivity of their medical staff in the struggle to provide high quality medical services at low costs amid the economic hardship. To motivate physicians toward the right direction, it is necessary to effectively evaluate their performance that provides a basis for compensation. However, productivity has been historically difficult to measure, particularly for physicians in academic medical centers who are expected to engage in research, education, and patient care simultaneously. The objectives of this study were to define performance measures of physicians and clinical departments in academic medical centers. to examine correlations between the measures. and to investigate factors affecting the measures. The performance data of 212 faculty physicians in 17 clinical departments in two university teaching hospitals affiliated to one medical school during the fiscal year 1994 was used for analyses. Patient care revenue, net profit. and adjusted number of patients were defined to measure the performance in patient care. and number of articles published in academic journals and research grant were defined for research activities. Both individual physicians' performance measures and per physician measures of clinical departments were analyzed. All measures defined to evaluate individual physicians' performance were positively related to each other. Clinical department and rank of faculty position were statistically significant predictors of revenue. and hospital. clinical department. and rank were significant predictors of net profit. journal publication. and research grant. Patient care measures defined to evaluate clinical departments were related to each other. so were research measures. and no significant correlations were found between patient care measures and research measures. Also found were large differences in department. ranks when clinical departments were evaluated by absolute per physician performance measures and evaluated by annual rate of changes in performance measures. These findings suggest that departmental performance measures opposed to individual performance measures are relatively free from problems of factors affecting the performance measures that are not in control of clinical departments or individual physicians. Results from the correlation analysis of departmental performance measures indicates that measures of research performance should be included in the evaluation to promote research activities in academic medical centers.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the level of project perception for those nurses from research-driven hospitals and to analyze the effect of research-relevant performance in the health care field focusing on the mediated effect of research capacity and job satisfaction. Methods: Data were collected from June, 2014 to July, 2014, and participants were 106 research nurses in Research-driven hospitals. Descriptive statistics, Independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, structural equation modeling (SEM). Results: As a result, Research-relevant performance according to project perception of research nurses from Research-driven Hospitals was not statistically significant, but research capacity and job satisfaction had a mediating role. Evaluation System Perception was significantly different from Research Capacity (p<.001), Research Capacity was significantly different from Job Satisfaction (p<.001), Job Satisfaction was significantly different from Research Performance (p<.001) Conclusion: The results indicate that research capacity building and job security research nurses are able to contribute to improving research performance of research-driven hospitals.

The objective of this research is to find out the effect of innovative culture and quality of work life on competitive advantage strategy with the mediation of individual performance. This research is the continuance of previous research conducted by Adya Hermawati with an originality aspect emphasizing a concept comprising innovative culture, quality of work life, and individual performance as factors that control competitive advantage strategy. The research subject is Tourism Industry SMEs. Explanatory research is a research method used in this study, by surveying respondents. The data sources in this research are primary and secondary. Primary data is collected from respondents directly through a questionnaire whereas secondary data are obtained from references that are relevant to research problems. In conformity with this explanation, the type of research data is quantitative data. The results of this research show that: innovative culture has an effect on individual performance, quality of work life affects individual performance, innovative culture has an effect on competitive advantage, quality of work life affects competitive advantage, individual performance has an effect on competitive advantage, innovative culture affects competitive advantage with the mediation of individual performance, and quality of work life affects competitive advantage with the mediation of individual performance.

The main propose of this research is to examine the performances in ERP introduced enterprises by utilizing BSC model proposed by Kaplan and Norton [1992], to realize this goals, a theoretical review on ERP, BSC, and other related issues is performed in advance, accordingly, research model was generated. In conceptual model analysis, we focused on casual relationships among four performance measurement indicators after introduction of ERP proposed by Kaplan and Norton [2000]. To test the model, structural equation modeling is employed to analyze data collected from 164 enterprises which have introduced ERP for more than 1 year. Survey respondents were confined within the representatives of each enterprise's ERP. Hypotheses proposed in our research are tested by covariance structure model, results are listed as follow : First, learning and growth performance is significant factors for improving both internal process performance and customer performance; second, process performance has a positive impact on customer performance third, despite that customer performance is positively related to financial performance, no direct relationship is found between internal process performance and financial performance, an indirect relationship is built through intermediate medium of customer performance. Based upon these results, we discuss implications at the latter part of paper. Meanwhile, we also provide research limitations, and future research in the final section.
