Technology is one of important factors to start-up. Researchers or engineers have led to make start-up, and research based company is one type of technology-based start-up. Technology holding company has made to encourage start-up and support research based company. Research based company was introduced in 2005 according to the Korean related law. In 2014, the number of technology holding companies of university is up to 39, but technology holding company of research institute is only one called ETRI Holdings. ETRI Holdings is a technology holding company to promote technology commercialization that established by ETRI in 2010. This study analysed the financial statements of ETRI Holdings for 5 years, and grasped the status of ETRI Holdings and 15 invested companies, research based companies. According to analysis ETRI Holdings played a role as technology holding company that invested in research based company, but had no virtual circle model until now. Also improvement directions for the management of technology holding company is suggested in this paper based on the analysis of financial statement.
The purpose of this study was to explore an intrinsic concept of 'company innovativeness' based on qualitative data obtained from 54 practitioners with at least 5 year-experience in the industry. Data were analyzed based on the grounded theory and Nvivo 2.0 program. Based on results, seven theme were generated. Seven intrinsic theme include 5 intrinsic concepts such as learning orientation, excellence of human resource, treatment for employees, market orientation and work efficiency, and 2 performance concepts such as business performance and innovation performance. These diverse concepts were considered as an important guideline in judging whether a company is innovative or not. In addition, diverse programs were provided by companies for a purpose of enhancing company innovativeness. Based on results, a research model was suggested to be elaborated in future studies. Implications and suggestions were generated based on results.
This study is planned to investigate the attitude toward the safety and health management of contractor company. Under the contract based production system, all of activities including safety and health management in the contractor company are depended upon the contract. How to make contract influence the worker's health of contractor company. Worker's health of contractor company can be protected by efforts of company of contract-out and contractor company, especially their safety managers. The modelling of the effective safety and health management system for contractor company should consider the need of safety manager of each company and employer of contractor company. Data is collected from safety managers of 3 contract out compaines as electronic and electrical manufacturing industry and 55 safety manager, 57 employers of their contractor compaines using self administered survey with structured questionnaire. The most of all respondents want to support from the contract out compaines. The most important items supported from contract out company is the information based on the safety information network between each company. Safety manager and employer of contactor company also itemized safety education and training in the supporting system from contract out company. These results can be generalized to survey on the other industries.
Purpose - Nowadays the competition between companies has been intensified in the aviation industry. It is hard to maintain successful market share in challenging managerial environment. Not long ago, a Korean major aviation company had faced social condemnation cause of managerial staff's immoral behaviors. That company suffers great losses in company brand value in terms of authenticity as an aviation company. This research tried to show the effect of brand authenticity in the aviation industry. First of all, this research tried to define the dimensions of the brand authenticities based on the former researches. This research suggested the airline brand authenticities as three kinds of dimensions. The dimensions of authenticities consist of performance aspects, symbolic aspects and moral aspects. And this research also tried to show the relationships between brand authenticities and consumers attitudes. Research design, data and methodology - The empirical research design is based on the experiments with six types of advertisement prototypes. The advertisement prototypes were based on three types of authenticities' characteristics. The prototypes were made of core statements about each authenticity. And the advertisement prototypes also were based on the aviation company types. The types of aviation companies could be divided into FSC(full service carrier)and LCC(low cost carrier). So the whole experiments were performed with six kinds of advertisement prototypes(3 brand authenticities X 2 aviation company types). The age of participants were from 20s to 40s. The proportion of participants' demographics are as follow. Age proportion is 50% of 20s and 50% of 30s and 40s. Gender proportion is 46% males and 54% females. The experiments performed through mobile devices. Advertisement prototypes were exposed to the participants through their mobile devices, and they answered the questionnaires. All the process of experiments were performed by a professional research firm to maintain the quality of data. Results - This research suggested some important outcomes as follow. First, brand authenticity had an important role to make a positive consumer attitude on the aviation company. All the three types advertisement of authenticities had a positive impact on the consumer attitude for the aviation company. Second, the three types of brand authenticities in the performance aspects, symbolic aspects, and moral aspects had a major impact on the consumers attitudes. The performance authenticity had the biggest effect on the consumer attitudes. Third, the types of aviation companies like FSC and LCC had a different correlation with types of authenticities. All the types of authenticities affected on the consumers attitudes in the FSC case. The symbolic authenticity had the biggest effect in the FSC case. But the performance authenticity showed the most striking effect in the LCC case. Conclusion - From this research, we can get a conclusion. The brand authenticity of aviation company should be managed carefully to maintain a positive brand image and consumers attitudes. And airline brand authenticities can be consist of three type dimensions. All the types of authenticities affects on the consumers attitudes positively. The symbolic authenticity affects more in the FSC case, and the performance authenticity influences more in the LCC case.

In this research, we have investigated the impact of servitization on firm value focused on Fortune 500 company's alliance announcement. The Firms are categorized to understand the impact of servitization and productization. The data includes Fortune 500 companies (2009, USA). Samples used for the hypothesis tests consist of 1,057 American companies that are opened on NYSE and NASDAQ, for the years 1990 through 2010. We test four research hypotheses based upon the various theoretical perspectives in servitization. The market is selective in reacting to alliance category; service company ${\rightarrow}$ manufacturing company, service company ${\rightarrow}$ service company. The findings show that alliance is significant between service company and manufacturing company. Also, the result shows significant relationship inter-service company's alliance. We have a significant relationship between company's alliance announcement and the market value of firms and shows significant AR in financial performance. Finally, this study presents implications for manufacturing companies that pursue service-led expansion as a strategic approach and are seeking to improve market value through alliance, partnership and cooperation. Continual effort must be placed to sustain market value of the firms.
This research considers to analyze the importance and priority order of outsourcing partner selecting factors on plant exporters. This research deals with case study on the outsourcing in the "A" plants exporter. To obtain the goal this research, firstly, based on reviewing previous literature and taking professional advice, the selecting factors were identified and conceptualized, and we made the hierarchy model and utilized AHP in analysis method. Secondly, AHP model constructed 3 higher factors, and 9 lower factors. Thirdly, the data used for the weight values for the outsourcing partner factors were collected from outsourcing experts and officers in "A" company. The 3 higher factors were 'Firm's Competence', 'Customer/User Factor', and 'Systemic Factor', and the 9 lower factors were 'experience of outsourcing', 'competency based HR', 'market share', 'reliability', and 'communication', etc. As the results of the analysis, this research evaluated with an importance highest among selecting factors of outsourcing partner of "A" company were 'Customer/User Factor(46.5%)', 'Systemic Factor(27.8%)' and 'Firm's Competence(25.7%)'. And importance highest among lower selecting factors of outsourcing partner of "A" company were 'reliability(31.4%)', 'competency based HR(14.4%)' and 'communication(13.7%)'. The developed model and selecting factors of outsourcing partner are expected to contribute on effective decisions on plants exporters. Managerial implications and future research directions are suggested based on findings.
Purpose - The purpose of this study is to find out how a company can do reasonable cost calculations in a simple way and establish profitability improvement strategies based on the results. Design/methodology/approach - In this study, a case that compounding company K applied TDABC was studied. A case study was conducted on the process of company K reviewing and applying TDABC and the process of implementing the cost calculation for each product by applying TDABC, and establishing a profitability improvement strategy for each product based on the results. Findings - Company K rearranged the production standard information of the compounding industry such as productivity and batch size of each product to apply TDABC. Cost calculation was performed for each product according to the revised production standard information. After the cost calculation for each product was carried out, Company K established a strategy to improve profitability of each product. The profitability improvement strategy was implemented in two ways: a cost reduction strategy and a product price increase strategy. As a result of the final strategy execution, the profitability of each product was improved. Research implications or Originality - This study found a reasonable costing standard in consideration of the specificity of the research target company, and applied it to cost calculation cost for each product. It contains the process of establishing production and sales strategies for each product based on the cost calculation results. It is expected that this case study will serve as a good reference material for establishing cost calculation and profitability improvement strategies in similar businesses.
I would like to trace back periodic social trend by searching if regular performance might have reflected on social trend on its theme by analyzing theme trend of The National Dance Company of Korea, Dance Company of Seoul city, Dance Company of KyungKi-Do and to provide the meaningful results for further study by checking if the theme of dancing performance is in relation with social structure. To perform this research, I had studied on previous thesis and reference books. For example, I selected three groups, of The National Dance Company of Korea, Dance Company of Seoul city, Dance Company of KyungKi-Do, to research their theme of regular performance through checking previous thesis related to, performance material, news articles, pamphlets from beginning to present. How to analyze is being proceeded from foundation of dancing company to present according to Kim Byungseok's classification method, which was consistently used for searching theme trend from previous study as below; 1) Theme based on traditional conscious,2) Theme based on Literature, 3) Theme based on Historic issues, 4) Theme based on abstract, 5) Theme based on reality, 6)Theme based on social issues.

A self-priming and photosensitive aqueous-basedevelopable benzocyclobutene (BCB)-based dielectric material curable in air is described. Patterned films have high resolution. Whether cured in nitrogen or in air, the formulation produces a film with optical, electrical, thermal, and mechanical properties desired for many microelectronic applications, such as a planarization layer or insulation layer in display applications. A self-priming, air-curable nonphoto- sensitive BCB material is also described.
Purpose - This paper aims to articulate relationship about factors influencing FTA utilization by dividing them into company's external and internal factors and performing investigation on the relationship between FTA utilization and export performance. Design/methodology - This study verified factors influencing FTA utilization by dividing them into company's external and internal factors and performing investigation on the relationship between FTA utilization and export performance. Empirical analysis was performed by setting internal and external factors required for FTA utilization as variables. To achieve this, research model was established based on previous study, hypothesis was deduced, and statistical program were used to test the hypothesis. This study performed empirical analysis using statistical program of SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 for the research model. Findings - Empirical analysis was performed regarding the effect of the FTA utilization on export performance and previous study defined export performance as the company's increased economy benefits through export and increase in new transactions. Analysis was also performed for factors affecting the FTA utilization by the company and through management and response of external factors and internal factors it was confirmed that the FTA utilization by the company led to increase in the company's export performance as a result. This study proposes a method to achieve export performance based on this. Originality/value - Companies seeking to utilize the FTA sign the Contract for the International Sale of goods and there are many conditions to meet in order to receive trade preferences during the transaction process. Existing trade order and order in the FTA have to be followed. Country of origin can be seen as key in the FTA. The Rule of Origin becomes the most important evaluation standard in applying preferential tariff in the FTA. Such regulations can be seen as external factors which cannot be controlled by the company. Internal factors are capabilities owned before that can be controlled by the company. The study sought to test the variables regarding factors centered on such capability. This study verified factors influencing FTA utilization by dividing them into company's external and internal factors and performing investigation on the relationship between FTA utilization and export performance.
