  • Space development program is a large and complex system consisting of a multi-disciplinary high-end technologies and it is important to implement a program management system connected with systems engineering as well as to develop critical technologies. Major organizations in space fields carry out effective budget execution management and operation according to the strategy and objective of space development using information systems. Korea Space Launch Vehicle II(KSLV-II) has adopted a cost management plan using a system engineering to complete the program within the assigned schedule and budget. This paper introduces the budget execution management system applied to KSLV-II budget management and the budget execution dashboard system for supporting program decision making.

  • From early 1999 years, the Mobile Telecommunication Companies have introduced the Mobile Telecommunication Membership Program to attract more customers. However, the severe competition in the Mobile Telecommunication market has made the Mobile Telecommunication Membership Program to be faced with the matured Mobile Telecommunication market and the Mobile Number portability. Main focus of this study is to find what are the core elements of service quality of the Mobile Telecommunication Membership Program. To achieve research objective, we conceptualized the service quality of Mobile Telecommunication Membership Program. We also derived hypotheses regarding the relationships between service quality of the program, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty and examined it by using the empirical research methodology. We suggest new marketing strategies of the Mobile Telecommunication Membership Program which can be applied to improve the corporate competitiveness.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects on cognitive function, depression, and activities of daily living of Silver- Care-Robot Program for institutionalized elders. Methods: This study was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The participants were 42 institutionalized elders (17 in the experimental group and 25 in the control group). The Silver-Care-Robot Program was provided as an intervention which was conducted twice a week for 5 weeks. The Silver-Care-Robot Program is an integrated entertainment program to help the mental, emotional, and physical health of elderly people. Pre-test was conducted on the two groups, and, in order to examine the effects of intervention, a post-test was conducted after 5 weeks. Results: There were significant differences in cognitive function and ADL (activities of daily living) between two groups after the program. But the difference in depression in the institutionalized elders was not statistically significant between the two groups. Conclusion: The Silver-Care-Robot Program should be considered as a regular program for cognitive function and activities of daily living for institutionalized elders.

  • Coalition loyalty programs, loyalty cash-back programs that enable their members to accrue and redeem points at a wide-range of affiliated outlets, are emerging. In a coalition loyalty program, unlike in a single-brand loyalty program, points accrued from one outlet can be redeemed in other outlets which even may be of other brands than the very one where the points were from. However, in spite of such systematic characteristic of coalition loyalty programs, there is only little research on the effect of the program. The present study is aimed at examining the difference between the effects of a coalition and a single-brand loyalty program in terms of acquisition and retention of customers and tries to provide strategic implications for a firm to run a loyalty program. We classify purchase conditions into two types-acquisition vs. retention. Then we compare the effects of a coalition and a single-brand loyalty program on the purchase intention, under both the acquisition and the retention conditions. The result shows that the effect of the coalition loyalty program is stronger than that of the single-brand loyalty program under the acquisition condition. On the other hands, the single-brand loyalty program is more effective than the coalition loyalty program under the retention condition, at least for the minor brand.

  • Recently, the artificial intelligence(AI) is used in various environments in life, and research on this is being actively conducted in education. In this paper, we designed a Design-Based Research(DBR)-based AI programming education program and analyzed the application of the program for the improvement of understanding of AI in elementary school. In the artificial intelligence education program in elementary school, we should considerthat itshould be used in conjunction with software education through programming activities, rather than creating interest through simple AI experiences. The designed education program reflects the collaborative problem-solving procedures following the DBR process of analysis - design - execution - redesign, allowing the real-world problem-solving activities using AI experiences and block-type programming language. This paper also examined the examples of education programs to improve understanding of AI by using Machine Learning for Kids and to draw implications for developing and operating such a program.

  • In this paper, we describe the MI2U ORB function which is a part of the flight software executed on SCU and controls MI2U/MI which is one of three payloads on COMS. The MI2U ORB function manages MI2U/MI redundancy and reconfiguration, monitors MI2U/MI equipment, performs FDIR, and provides the routing service of commands from Ground/IP (Interpreted Program) through the current used 1553 channel. The MI2U hardware achieves the interface between the SCU and the MI. The MI2U is connected to SCU through MIL-STD-1553B system bus. The MI2U has the internal redundancy but is used in cold redundancy. The MI2U ORB function considers that they are not expected to be simultaneously switched on. The connection combination between MI2U and MI is electrically cross-strapped. However the MI2U ORB function considers only two combinations (MI2U A + MI 1, MI2U B + MI 2). Other combinations can be manually achieved by ground in case of the emergency case.

  • The strengthening of Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) for clinical research on advanced regenerative medicine reflecting the 3 Principles of the Belmont Report (Respect, Beneficence, Justice) is very important. The research institution IRB should naturally be in charge of managing the clinical research process. And it is crucial to reinforce HRPP for the protection of research subjects in institutions conducting advanced regeneration clinical research. So, it is needed to establish a Protection System for Advanced Regenerative Medical Research Subjects composed of clinical research management communication system for advanced regenerative medicine between KAIRB (Korean Association of IRB) of research institutes and National Management Agency for Advanced Regenerative Medical Research. In advanced regenerative medicine clinical research to verify safety and efficacy of the investigational drugs to the subjects with rare and incurable diseases rather than to treat the patients, it is hoped that a management system that guarantees the scientific characteristics of research and the rights of research subjects would be well organized and operated.

  • Protein phosphorylation is one of the major mechanisms by which eukaryotic cells transduce extracellular signals into intracellular responses. Calcium/calmodulin ($Ca^{2+}/CaM$)-dependent protein phosphorylation has been implicated in various cellular processes, yet little is known about $Ca^{2+}/CaM$-dependent protein kinases (CaMKs) in plants. From an Arabidopsis expression library screen using a horseradish peroxidase-conjugated soybean calmodulin isoform (SCaM-1) as a probe, we isolated a full-length cDNA clone that encodes AtCK (Arabidopsis thaliana calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase). The predicted structure of AtCK contains a serine/threonine protein kinase catalytic domain followed by a putative calmodulin-binding domain and a putative $Ca^{2+}$-binding domain. Recombinant AtCK was expressed in E. coli and bound to calmodulin in a $Ca^{2+}$-dependent manner. The ability of CaM to bind to AtCK was confirmed by gel mobility shift and competition assays. AtCK exhibited its highest levels of autophosphorylation in the presence of 3 mM $Mn^{2+}$. The phosphorylation of myelin basic protein (MBP) by AtCK was enhanced when AtCK was under the control of calcium-bound CaM, as previously observed for other $Ca^{2+}/CaM$-dependent protein kinases. In contrast to maize and tobacco CCaMKs (calcium and $Ca^{2+}/CaM$-dependent protein kinase), increasing the concentration of calmodulin to more than $3{\mu}M$ suppressed the phosphorylation activity of AtCK. Taken together our results indicate that AtCK is a novel Arabidopsis $Ca^{2+}/CaM$-dependent protein kinase which is presumably involved in CaM-mediated signaling.
