The objective of this study was to determine current consumer awareness of Omija (Schizandra chinensis Bailon) fruit in order to develop ready-to-drink (RTD) Omija-flavored beverages using qualitative consumer analysis. A series of four different focus group interview sessions were conducted using carefully chosen consumers with specific demographics, and each group involved eight respondents. Consumer's qualitative reactions regarding Omija fruit, Omija extract products, ready-to-drink beverages and Omija-flavored RTD beverages were explored. Distinct differences in consumer awareness and consumption patterns of Omija extract and RTD beverages were observed between consumers in their 20s and consumers in their 30s to 50s. The expected sensory characteristics of Omija-flavored RTD beverages were also different based on participants' age. Findings from the current study can aid product developers utilizing Omija fruit by providing valuable insights into current consumer behavior and consumer awareness regarding Omija.

Promoting students' mathematics understanding is an important research theme in mathematics education. According to general theories of learning, mathematics understanding is close to active learning or significant learning. Thus, if a teacher wants to promote his/her students' mathematics understanding, he/she should pay attention to the students so that the students' thinking is in active situation. In the first part of this paper, some mathematics teachers' ideas about paying attention to their students in Chinese high school are given by questionnaire and interview. In the second part of this paper, we give some teaching episodes about how experienced mathematics teachers promote their students' mathematics understanding based on paying attention on them.

The objectives of the study are to improve techniques for social impact assessment and to suggest their measuring methods to apply in small scale rural development projects. Population, residence, industries, and traffic volumes were selected to measure the social and economic impact assessment of Seongeup agricultural water development project in Jeju Province. Existing data gathering methods were used to estimate the changes of population and traffic volumes. Interview schedule for villagers was applied to estimate the residents' satisfaction to living environments. Interview schedule for experts was applied to estimate agricultural productivity and land price. The results of social and economic impact assessment show that there will be considerable changes in living environments, agricultural productivity, and land price. On the contrary, the project will make little impacts on the changes of population, em-ployment, and traffic volumes.

This study aims to clarify how commissioned welfare volunteers could play a role of evacuation assistance for people with special needs in case of flood disaster which occurred in Sayo-cho, Hyogo prefecture by Typhoon 9th in August, 2009. Both questionnaire research and interview was conducted to commissioned welfare volunteers. As a result we found that the delay of official evacuation council caused some confusion. As commissioned welfare volunteers had not got enough information on evacuation assistance from local government it was difficult to decide and initiate early evacuation against flood disaster. Development of collaboration with community manpower is inevitable for effective evacuation assistance on elderly and disabled people.

The COVID-19 is a pandemic that affects all facets of our life and will change many patterns in science technology and innovation. A qualitative study was conducted using Focus Group Interview involving ten industry-academia-research experts with the objective of identifying changes in Korea's national innovation system and science & technology policy after the COVID-19. Eight questions were designed, based on the major components of the national innovation system, such as companies, universities, and research institutes, to discuss the changes in the national innovation system and science & technology policy. Also, keyword analysis and cluster analysis were performed using the network analysis program VOSviewer. It is predicted that, in the wake of the COVID-19, Korea's national innovation system will shift to a new paradigm that is more decentralized, responsive, and autonomous. Furthermore, several policy agendas that can turn these changes into positive momentum of change in science & technology policy are presented.

In this study, an innovative computer support has been suggested to improve differential perception of the students. Research has been conducted on a calculus class which has 35 students. A semi-structured interview has been reported in the study. By this interview, it was tried to make differential concept more understandable by using Micro Soft Excel component of the well-known MS Office software. By this aim, students have been asked to integrate a simple function by using MS Excel. At the end of the study, it was observed that differential concept made more sense in students' minds than previous.

This paper aims to presents the overview of research in the sustainable smart cities development domain. It investigates the key challenges of the sustainable smart cities development that faced by the developers from different countries. The qualitative research method via the interview is conducted to collect the data. 10 experts on the sustainable smart cities development project were interviewed in this study. The results indicate that there are 12 sustainable smart cities development challenges named: (1) budgetary constraint; (2) lack of resources; (3) lack of institutional capacity to deliver technology; (4) lack of systems integration; (5) social acceptability; (6) lack of awareness level in the smart city development among residents; (7) the need to drive towards content development; (8) lack of strategically approach in the smart city transformation; (9) disagreement on standardizing the smart city model; (10) lack of overarching institution to create the governance structure; (11) lack of sustainable focused strategies; and (12) lack of the smart city operational framework. Furthermore, the solutions framework for these challenges was proposed as the guidelines to overcome or minimize them.

Research Purpose Advances in digital technology have facilitated the widespread adoption of online learning, which has become a substantial way of learning. Although digital immigrants have become a main group of users of learning online, there is a lack of understanding of their online learning. This study aims to explore digital immigrants' adoption of online learning from the goal-pursuit perspective to gain insight into how they use online learning. Research Method A laddering interview was conducted with 22 Korean adults to elicit their goals in online learning. Then, a means-end chain analysis was used to derive their hierarchical goal structure. Findings The results reveal digital immigrants' goal structure of online learning, consisting of four attributes of online learning (e.g., accessibility, diversity, up-to-dateness, and repeatability) and six goals (e.g., self-esteem, enjoyment, recognition, productivity, gaining insights, and positive relations). This study contributes to the literature by providing a rich picture of their use of online learning.

본 연구의 목적은 Rosenthal의 내러티브-생애사 인터뷰 분석의 실제를 보여주는 데에 있다. 이에, 한 재독한인노동이주자의 인터뷰를 사례로 하여 생애사적 데이터의 연속적 분석, 텍스트분석과 주제적 영역분석, 체험된 생애사의 재구성과 연속적 세밀분석, 이야기된 생애사와 체험된 생애사의 비교 분석의 절차에 따라 단계별로 분석한 결과를 제시하였고, 이를 통해 Rosenthal의 내러티브-생애사 인터뷰 분석의 실제를 보여주었다. 이어, 이러한 연구가 사회복지학 분야 생애사 연구와 사회복지실천에 시사하는 함의를 논의하였다.

Performing an online health search is a popular activity conducted on the Internet. Research studies from developed countries provide information on source used, type of search performed and devices used to perform the search. However, the same cannot be said about the online health information searching scene in South East Asia. Online health information searching is gaining popularity in South East Asia. Citizens in these countries are turning to the Internet to obtain health information quickly. Current research studies pertaining to online health information searching in South East Asian is limited, particularly relating to search experiences of South East Asian health searchers. Search experience is pertinent as it could deter or encourage the possibility of conducting future health searches. In this research study, a user study was conducted to describe the online search experience of South East Asian health searchers. A face to face interview with 50 participants was conducted. The interview was audio recorded and transcribed verbatim. Results indicate participants have positive and negative search experiences. In some cases, post search outcomes influenced the search experience. Results of this research study contribute to the growing domain of knowledge in relation to online health information searching. Results of this study also provide an understanding pertaining to the search experience of South East Asian online health searchers.
