This paper is fundamental study to develop ceiling materials, using the properties of Zeolite, stone dust and sludge for the purpose of prevention of environmental pollution and reuse of industrial wastes. According to latin square method, We estimated to the significant level ad optimum level for a significant factor, and investigated to the significant degree to extend each factor for required capacity. Thus, we investigated for required capacity in ceiling material such as, compressive and bending strength, absorptivity and thermal conductivity.

For the position control of BL-DC motors, 2.phi.-3.phi. conversion unit, hysteresis band device, and PWM pulse generation are required. By utilizing a single-chip processor INTEL 8097BH, we cover all required functions. As a result, no analogue device is employed in this control scheme, so that it makes BL-DC motor controller simple and flexible. Furthermore, the single-chip processor is utilized for the nonlinear coordinate transformation which is necessary for the linearization of the motor system.

This paper presents the findings of an experimental study to evaluate retrofit methods which address particular weaknesses that are often found in reinforced concrete structures, especially older structures, namely the lack of the required flexural and shear reinforcement within the columns and the lack of the required shear reinforcement within the joints. Thus, the use of a high-strength fiber jacket for cases of post-earthquake and pre-earthquake retrofitting of columns and beam-column joints was investigated experimentally. In this paper, the effectiveness of the two jacket styles was also compared.

A computer aided design of a Stephenson type of Chained six-link mechanism with synthesis equations of the precision positions technigue to generate a required point path is presented. Analysis of this mechanism is carried out by the matrix method. The torque on the input link required to operate the mechanism was obtained by considering inertia and gravity forces of the coupler link.

The main drawback of parallel type active power filters (APF) is the large capacity required for harmonic compensation. This paper evaluates the APF capacity requirement of harmonic/reactive power compensation for thyristor converter load. Theoretically achievable maximum power factor under partial load is evaluated. And it is shown that the APF capacity can be considerably reduced while slightly sacrificing the filtering performance by deliberately limiting the peak current of the APF.

The Korean government has developed and strengthened energy related regulations to pursue eco-friendly buildings since 1979. However, required design standards for energy based quantitative studies focused on energy performance in existing buildings are meagered. Therefore in this study, required energy performance by design standards for energy are analyzed. And a energy performance by retrofits for insulation improvement is studied using energy simulations.

The porpose in this study is to simulate te force required in the measurement of the performance of the equipments or testipieces. For the simulation of the required force, the difference in eachchamber pressure in the hydraulic cylinder was controlled with Variable Structure Control (VSC) theory. Also, nonlinear Variable Structure Observer (VSO) was designed to estimate the derivative of the load pressure which is necessary to determine the sliding surface in VSC theory. In this paper, the digital computer simulation and experiments were executed.

In this paper, we investigate on the characteristics of poly-Si TFTs reuired for the implementation of analog circuits to be integrated with System-on-Glass (SoG). Matching requirements in terms of resistor values, threshold voltage and mobility of poly-Si TFTs are derived as a function of the resolution of display system. Effective mobility of poly-Si TFTs required for the realization of source driver is analyzed for various panel sizes.

In this study we consider three types of accomodation methods of narrowband/wideband services. The fully integrated accomodation method is sufficient to accomodate the relatively low wideband traffic and the partially integrated method is required to meet the specification of blocking probability as the wideband traffic increases. The segregated accomodation method is required expecilly in case of the high wideband traffic demand.

The railway signaling system consists of computerized vital devices. Therefor it is important to validate the required functions of developed signaling system. To verify the condition and functions of signaling functions, the plentiful laboratory test is required. To achieve this, the emulation S/W for signaling test-bench is needed. The object-oriented concept for trackside signaling equipments emulation is described in this paper.
