방사선근접치료 분야의 선량 측정을 위해 제조된 Lead(II) Iodide 선량계의 적용가능성 연구 (The Study on Applicability of Manufactured Lead(II) Iodide Dosimeter for Dose Measurement in Brachytherapy)

  • 근접방사선치료는 방사선동위원소를 신체 내부에 넣어 종양에 방사선을 집중적으로 조사하는 치료법이다. 근접방사선 치료는 고선량율의 방사선동위원소 선원을 사용하기 때문에 정확한 선원의 위치 및 선량등을 파악하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 하지만 임상에서는 ruler, autoradiograph등을 통하여 육안으로 부정확하게 평가하는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 Lead(II) Iodide(PbI2) 물질을 사용하여 방사선근접치료에 사용할 수 있는 선량계를 개발하고, 재현성, 선형성, PID 항목을 분석하여 적용가능성을 평가하였다. 재현성 평가 결과, RSD 값은 1.41%로 평가기준 1.5%를 만족하였다. 선형성 평가결과, R2값은 0.9993으로 평가기준 0.9990을 만족하였다. PID 평가 결과 50% 선량 감약지점에서 거리의 역자승 법칙의 이론값과 비교하여 0.06 cm의 차이만을 나타내었다. 본 실험에서 제작된 선량계는 모든 평가에서 기준치를 만족하는 결과값을 나타내어 방사선근접치료 영역에서의 선량계 적용 가능성이 충분한 것으로 판단된다.

  • A flow injection type biosensor was tested to confirm the performance of a batch and a continuous type flow injection unit. Reproducibility and consistence of the biosensor were investigated to determine the effect of pulsations and air bubbles, and the applicability of on-line monitoring. The air bubbles affected the performance of the sensor irrespective of the location, and also the pulsations of the pump influenced the performance of the sensor. The applicability of on-line motoring was accepted as the result of the repeated and long-term measurements.

  • To investigate the reliability and reproducibility of the computerized cephalometric analysis system, se compared the differences of the 10 linear and 13 angular measurements by manual works and the use of computerized cephalometric analysis system. We obtained as follows : 1. There was not significant difference between maean values of 22 manual and computerized measurements. 2. There was not significant difference between mean differences of manual and computerized cephalometric analysis data taken by same examiner except facial depth, facial length and posterior facial height. 3. There was not significant difference between mean differences of two trials of the computerized cephalometric analysis data by same examiner in all measurements. 4. There was not significant difference between mean differences of the computerized cephalometric analysis data by two examiners except FMIA and IMPA. According to this result, we guess the use of computerized cephalometric analysis system is useful on diagnosis and treatment planning of othodontic patients.

양파 외피에서 추출한 수용성 색소의 분석 (Analysis and Dyeing of Natural Pigments Extracted from Onion Shell(Allium cepa))

  • 도시 Traditionally, dyes extracted from onion shells have been used as natural pigments but dyeing methods with reproducibility have not been developed. In this study, the dyes were analyzed by high performance thin layer chromatography(HPTLC) to obtain the ratio of pigments in water and ethyl acetate extract. Furthermore, the present study was also carried out to obtain the information characteristic of wavelength which proportionally decrease for continuous dyeing reaction. Scanning of water extract showed 4 peaks by the mobile phase of benzene/ethyl acetate/acetic acid(40/10/5) and the peak 1 exhibited yellow color with the maximal absorption spectra of 306nm and 309nm while ethyl acetate extract showed 9 peaks in the same mobile phase. The water extract after ethyl acetate extraction was adjusted to 0.5 of O.D.(optical density) at 550nm by adding of water and compared wavelength of the pigments from 200 to 600nm to find the proportional decrease of wavelength. As the result, it showed that wavelength of 306nm could be the standard of dyeing monitoring points.

내부 최적화를 이용한 화학 센서의 단기 드리프트 분석 및 보정 (Short Term Sensor's Drift Analysis and Compensation Using Internal Normalization)

  • One of the main problems when working the chemical sensor is the lack of repeatability and reproducibility of the sensor response. If the problem is not properly taken into consideration, the stability and reliability of the system using chemical sensors would be decreased. In this paper we analyzed the sensor's drift of short term and proposed a compensation method for reducing the effects of the drift in order to improve the stability and the reliability of the chemical sensor. The sensor drift was analyzed by a trend line graph and CV(coefficient of variation) was used to quantify. And we compensated for the drift by using the internal normalization. As a result it was found that the value of CV was decreased after compensation.

  • The main disadvantages of destructive testing methods are the delay in obtaining test results, the relatively high cost of testing, and the lack of reproducibility in the test results. As a result, nondestructive testing methods are generally used. There are three objectives in this paper. The first is to determine the equations of the compressive strength of concrete estimated by Schmidt hammer technique, ultrasonic pulse velocity method and combined method respectively in laboratory. The second is to determine the correction factors according to the concrete age which affects most in evaluating the compressive strength of in-situ concrete. The third is to examine the applicability of the equations to evaluation of the compressive strength of in-situ concrete structures.

  • This paper describes the calibration method and the evaluation method of relative expanded uncertainty for a multi-axis force/moment sensor. This sensor should be calibrated to be use in the industry. Now, the confidence of the calibration result is expressed with interference error. But it is no inaccurate, because an interference error, besides, a reproducibility error of the sensor, a error of this six-axis force/moment sensor calibrator, and so on. Thus, in order to accurately evaluate the relative expanded uncertainty of it, the concept of the uncertainty should be induced, and these errors must be contained in the relative expanded uncertainty. In this paper, the calibration method is exhibited and the evaluation method of the relative expanded uncertainty is also exhibited. And, a six-axis force/moment sensor was calibrated and the relative expanded uncertainty was evaluated.

  • A new method for enzyme immobilization has been developed to remove interference by potential interferents in body fluids. Instead of using electron mediators, we chose direct hydrogen peroxide measurement route. Extremely hydrogen peroxide-selective polymer was coated as an inner membrane to exclude interferents and then glucose oxidase(GOx) was entrapped by electropolymerization of inert monomers. There was no solvent casting step throughout the whole fabrication procedure but all membranes on Pt-Ir electrode were formed by electropolymerization. Thus, membrane thickness, quantity of enzyme loaded and can be controlled by electrochemical parameters. As a result, reproducibility of biosensor characteristics becomes remarkably improved in terms of mass production.

  • The optimized conditions for the cross-sectional TEM sample preparation using tripod polisher and ion-beam miller was confirmed by AFM and TEM. For the TEM observation of interfaces including InGaN layers like InGaN/GaN MQW structures, the sample preparation by the only tripod polishing was useful due to the reduction of artifacts. On the other hand, in case of the thick nitride films like ELO, PE, and superlattice, both tripod polishing and controlled ion-beam milling were required to improve the reproducibility. As a result, the ion-beam milling with the $60^{\circ}$modulation showed the minimum height difference between film and sapphire interface and the ion-beam milling of the $80^{\circ}$modulation showed the broad observable width.

  • A newly developed contact angle measurement instrument by laser beam projection allows for rapid and direct determination of contact angles. The instrument may have a possibility to characterize newly developed nano-fibers. When the laser beam impinges on an edge of an interface of liquid and solid, projected beam were split across and made two straight lines on a tangent screen. From the result, it could measure the contact angle directly by reading the angle between two split beams. The purpose of this study was to prove reliability and reproducibility of the contact angle measurement instrument by laser beam projection compare to the conventional one by microscope through the comparative experiment and questionnaire. Test samples were selected by consideration of hydrophilic and hydrophobic, such as nylon 6 and polypropylene, respectively. The laser contact angle measurement has accurate, fast and convenient method to measure contact angle, and it can be a unique method to characterize nano-fibers.
