  • One of the advantages of SP methods is the possibility of getting a number of responses from each respondent. However, when the repeated observations from each respondent are analysed by applying the simple modeling method, a potential problem is created because of upbiased significance due to the repeated observation from each respondent. This study uses a variety of approaches to explore this issue and to test the robustness of the simple model estimates. Among several different approaches, the Jackknife method and Kocurs method were applied. The Jackknife method was implemented using a program JACKKNIFE. The model estimate results of Jackknife method and Kocurs method were compared with those of the uncorrected estimates in order to test whether there was repeated measurement problem or not and the extent to which this problem affected the model estimates. The standard errors between the uncorrected model estimates and Jackknife estimates were also compared. The results reveals that the t-ratios of Kocurs are much lower than those of the uncorrected method and Jackknife estimates, indicating that Kocurs method underestimates the significance of the coefficients. Jackknife method produced the almost same coefficients as those of the uncorrected model but the lower t-ratios. These results indicate that the coefficients of the uncorrected method are accurate but that their significance are somewhat overestimated. In this study. 1 concluded that the repeated measurement Problem did exist in our data, but that it did not affect the model estimation results significantly. It is recommended that such a test should become a standard procedure. If it turns out that the analysis based on the simple uncorrected method are influenced by the repeated measurement problem. it should be corrected.

  • This paper considers the problem of selecting the most profitable process mean for production processes where measurement errors exist in inspection systems. For such situations, a sequential inspection procedure is proposed to reduce measurement errors. The decision to accept, reject, or take an additional inspection of an item is made at every measurement point until the number of repeated measurements reaches its upper bound. An expected profit model is constructed and the optimal process mean, the cut-off values, and the upper bound of the number of repeated measurements are obtained when accepted(rejected) items are sold at regular(reduced) price. A numerical study is performed to investigate the performance of the proposed procedure.

  • Most previous works to study for the depression of the disabilities in Korea have analyzed the repeated measured data of each individual under the mutually independent assumption. In this study, Korea Welfare Panel data of the disabilities surveyed additionally every three years are analyzed to detect the significant exploratory variables by the linear mixed models. A suitable correlation matrix is considered for the dependency of repeated measurement of each individual. The random effect to reflect the characteristics of the individuals as well as the fixed effect is included in the fitted linear mixed model. By the residual plot of the fixed effect model, the problem that the averages of residuals of each individual do not seem to be around zero is described. Further, the residual plot and the Q-Q plot coming from the selected final model are shown that the problem is modified well.

  • There are various reasons for missing values when collecting data. Missing values have some influence on the analysis and results; consequently, various methods of processing missing values have been studied to solve the problem. It is thought that the later point of view may be affected by the initial time point value in the repeated measurement data. However, in the existing method, there was no method for the imputation of missing values using this concept. Therefore, we proposed a new missing value imputation method in this study using clustering in initial time point of the repeated measurement data and the measure of property proposed by Kim and Kim (The Korean Communications in Statistics, 30, 463-473, 2017). We also applied the Monte Carlo simulations to compare the performance of the established method and suggested methods in repeated measurement data.

  • Concept and model of multiplication is not single. Concepts of multiplication can be classified into three cases: repeated addition, times idea, pairs set. Models of multiplication can be classified into four cases: measurement, rectangular pattern, combinatorial problem, number line. Among diverse cases of multiplication's concept and model, which case does elementary mathematics education lay stress on? This question is a controvertible didactical point. In this thesis, (1) mathematical and didactical analysis of multiplication's concept and model is performed, (2) a concrete program of teaching multiplication which is based on times idea is contrived, (3) With this new program, the teaching experiment is performed and its result is analyzed. Through this study, I obtained the following results and suggestions. First, the degree of testee's understanding of times idea is not high. Secondly, a sort of test problem which asks the testee to find times value is more easy than the one to find multiplicative resulting value. Thirdly, combinatorial problem can be handled as an application of multiplication. Fourthly, the degree of testee's understanding of repeated addition is high. In conclusion, I observe the fact that this new program which is based on times idea could be a alternative program of teaching multiplication which could complement the traditional method.

  • Purpose : Delayed onset muscle soreness(DOMS) is a common problem that can interfere with rehabilitation as well as activities of daily living. The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of both trascutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(TENS) Micro current(MC) and only normal Therapy on Delyed Onset Muscle Soreness(DOMS). Method : The Methods ten untrained and male volunteer subjects were randomly assigned to one of two treatment groups: 1) a group that received TENS (60Hz) MC($60{\mu}A$, 3pps) a control group that received no MC treatment. Subjects performed repeated eccentric exercise of the non-dominant forearm flexor muscle with submaximal intensity by the simply designed eccentric exercise devices. Treatments were applied after 24hours and 48hours. Subjects attended on two consecutive days for treatment and measurement of paining(visual analogue scale: VAS) and CK(Creatine kinase) on a daily basis. Measurements were taken after treatment. Results : 1) There were no significant differences between TENS and MENS by two-way repeated ANOVA. The Results that t-test for VAS revealed significant differences within TENS group. 3) The t-test for VAS, and Creatine Kinase of time revealed significant differences within MC group. Conclusion : These findings suggest that both TENS and MENS had effect on DOMS.

  • STATEMENT OF PROBLEM. Screw loosening has been a common complication and still reported frequently. PURPOSE. The purpose of this study was to evaluate abrasion of the implant fixture and TiN coated abutment screw after repeated delivery and removal with universal measuring microscope. MATERIAL AND METHODS. Implant systems used for this study were Osstem and 3i. Seven pairs of implant fixtures, abutments and abutment screws for each system were selected and all the fixtures were perpendicularly mounted in liquid unsaturated poly-esther with dental surveyor. After 20 times of repeated closing and opening test, the evaluation for the change of inner surface of implant and TiN-coated abutment screw, and weight loss were measured. Mann-Whitney test with SPSS statistical software for Window was applied to analyze the measurement of weight loss. RESULTS. TiN-coated abutment screws of Osstem and 3i showed lesser loss of weight than non-coated those of Osstem and 3i (P < .05, Mann-Whitney test). CONCLUSION. Conclusively, TiN coating of abutment screw showed better resistance to abrasion than titanium abutment screw. It was concluded that TiN coating of abutment screw would reduce the loss of preload with good abrasion resistance and low coefficient of friction, and help to maintain screw joint stability.

  • Purpose: This study was to investigate the effects of problem solving group counseling on the index of obesity and health habits for obese children. Method: Forty seven obese children participated in the study(Exp.=22, Cont.=25). Children were recruited from the forth and fifth grade with higher than $20\%$ of the obesity degree. The problem solving counseling lasted for 10 weeks. In order to evaluate the effects of counseling, physical characteristics and health habits were measured three times; pretest, posttest, and at 10 weeks follow-up. The obtained data was analyzed by $x^2-test$, t-test, and repeated measures ANOVA, using the SPSS WIN 10.0program. Result: Problem solving group counseling was effective on the physical characteristics(BMI, obesity degree, body fat ratio, waist measurement) and health habits over time. Children in the experimental group controlled their body weight better and reported lower scores in the index of obesity than children in the control group at 10 weeks follow-up. Conclusion: This counseling program helped obese children modify their health habits so that they could decrease their scores in the obesity index. It can be concluded that problem-solving counseling enhanced problem-solving abilities of obese children, which could help modify their ordinary health habits.

  • Since string operations were applied to computational biology area, various data structures and algorithms for computing efficient string operations have been studied. The longest common substring problem is an operation to find the longest matching substring in more than two strings, and maximal repeat of string problem is an operation to find substrings repeated more than once in the given string. These operations are importantly used in the string processing area such as pattern matching and likelihood measurement. In this paper, we present algorithms to compute the longest common substring of two strings and to find the maximal repeat of string using three-dimensional $n{\times}n{\times}n$ processors on RMESH(Reconfigurable MESH). Our algorithms have O(1) time complexity.
