A case of renal candidiasis is reported in a 4-year-old male Masked Palm civet (Paguma larvata). On necropsy, the kidneys were bilaterally swollen, pale and had numerous 1 to 3 mm diameter white foci throughout the parenchyma on cut section. The urinary bladder was filled with opaque and milky exudate. Histologically, severe infiltration of neutrophils and macrophages and necrosis were noted in the interstitial areas of both cortex and medulla and in the lumens of renal tubules and collecting duct often resulting in cystic dilation of the tubules. Failure Renal is the function of the kidneys to remove waste products and keep them on the periphery. and minerals for the body. Chronic renal failure is a syndrome characterized by a slow, irreversible deterioration of renal function due to the slow destruction of renal parenchyma. Calcium is one of the important minerals that the body contains in the blood and important tissues, and it has an important role in vital processes such as muscle contraction, nerve impulse conduction, the efficiency of heart muscle work, and blood clotting processes. The aim of the study is to study and compare calcium levels in men and women. It includes studying abnormal levels of calcium that cause many diseases, including chronic renal failure, and studying changes associated with renal failure. The method of this study was conducted on patients with chronic renal failure at Murjan Teaching Hospital in Babylon city during the period. The study included a sample of 70 patients (40 males, 30 females) with chronic renal failure, their ages ranged from 30-65, and 60 (30 males, 30 females) healthy without the disease of the same age. The result was a significant decrease in the number of red and white blood cells, hemoglobin concentration, hematocrit and platelets in patients with chronic renal failure, The result has been showed significant level in enzymes activity for transfer of amine group (alanine amino transferase, aspartate amino transferas) and phosphatase alkaline and also concentration of total bilirubin in patient with compare with healthy, Significantly increases, were found in the concentration of urea, uric acid and creatinine, as well as the concentration of calcium and phosphorous ions in the blood serum of patients compared to healthy controls.
Although asymptomatic bacteriuria, cystitis, and acute pyelonephritis (APN) have been categorized as urinary tract infections (UTIs), the immunopathogenesis of each disease is different. APN shows an age predilection; the majority of children (over 70-80%) with APN are under 1-2 years of age, with a male predominance. After 1-2 years of age, female predominance has been reported. This finding suggests that the immature immune state of infancy may be associated with the pathogenesis of APN. Escherichia coli is the most common etiologic agent; other uropathogens associated with UTIs originate from the host and comprise normal flora that are continuously altered by environmental factors. Therefore, uropathogens may have characteristics different from those of extraneous bacterial pathogens. Although antibiotic-resistant uropathogens, including extended-spectrum beta-lactamase-producing strains, are increasing in Korea and worldwide, treatment failure is rare in immune-competent children. The immunopathogenesis of APN remains unknown. Intact bacteria may not be the causative substances in renal cell injury; rather, smaller substances produced during bacterial replication may be responsible for renal cell injury and scarring. Moreover, substances from host cells such as proinflammatory cytokines may be involved in renal cell injury. A dimercaptosuccinic acid scan is used to detect the site of bacterial replication in the renal parenchyma, and may be influenced by the size of the focus and the stage of APN. Traditional aggressive studies used to identify vesicoureteral reflux after the first episode of APN have been modified because of rare cases of chronic kidney disease in patients with recurrent UTI.

Page kidney refers to the phenomenon of hypertension secondary to long-standing compression of renal parenchyma caused by renal subcapsular collection. The most common cause of renal subcapsular collection is a hematoma which usually occurs after a history of blunt trauma. A 42-year-old female patient who received botulinum toxin injection in her back during chiropractic care was admitted to the emergency room with sudden bilateral flank pain and hypertension. The computed tomography (CT) images demonstrated the presence of bilateral subcapsular renal hematoma. The patient was treated conservatively and recovered well. The follow up CT images showed markedly resolved bilateral hematoma.
We report septicemic colibacillosis accompanied by white-spotted kidney in a 30-day old female Holstein-Friesian dairy calf. Grossly, there were numerous white spots sized average 0.5cm in diameter in both kidneys. When sectioned sagittally, there were radially oriented gray streaks extending outward and reaching the renal cortex. The renal papillae were ulcerated, white to gray in color and very friable. Histologically, there was extensive purulent inflammation characterized by severe neutrophilic cellular infiltrations in the tubular lumens and interstitia. In addition, massive coagulative necrosis were found in the apices of papillae. Numerous Gram-negative bacterial colonies were detected in both of the renal and lung tissues. Beta-hemolytic Escherichia coli (E. coli) was purely isolated from the renal parenchyma, peritoneal surface and pleural surface. Based on the above results, we suggest that the generalized septicemia with pyelonephritis may be oriented from the lower urinary tract infection with E. coli in this case.
A 13-year-old male Yorkshire terrier was Presented with Persistent weight loss anorexia and dark brown urine of 3-month duration. On physical examination, a firm oval mass was palpated at left renal region. In hematology and blood chemistry, neutrophilia, anemia, thrombocytopenia and elevation of ALKP were found. Abdominal radiography, ultrasonography and ultrasound-guided percutaneous pyelogram revealed masses originated from left kidney, mildly dilated renal Pelvis and intact ureter. Urinalysis showed hematuria and proteinuria. Because the state of dog became deteriorated during transfusion and the frail renal tumor was suspected to be the cause of inflammation and anemia, nephrectomy was performed. Renal masses, approximately $2{\times}3cm\;and\;5{\times}4cm$ respectively in size, was surrounded by swollen and congested mesentery and ascites. Metastatic lesion was not found in other organs. During recovery, the dog showed cardiopulmonary arrest and did not respond to critical care. Histologically the kidney was affected by necrotic and hemorrhagic change. This hemangiosarcoma most likely arose from the renal parenchyma resulting In diffuse lesions in the kidneys thought to be the cause of chronic anorexia and weight loss.
A 6-year-old castrated male Russian Blue cat was presented for evaluation of dyschezia. Abdominal ultrasound revealed hyperechoic nodules in both kidneys, heterogeneous mass in abdomen, and extensive mesenteric thickening with multiple hypoechoic nodules. Computed tomography showed multiple hypodense lesions in both kidneys and diffuse nodular infiltration around the mesentery. Fine needle aspirates (FNA) acquired under ultrasound guidance from the mesentery consisted of large lymphocytes which have round to irregular nuclei with granular chromatin, prominent nucleoli and a small amount of basophilic cytoplasm. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for antigen receptor gene rearrangement result of FNA sample revealed a T-cell malignancy. The cat died from acute renal failure after 1 cycle of modified Madison-Wisconsin L-CHOP protocol. Postmortem examination revealed bilaterally enlarged lumpy-bumpy shaped kidneys. Histopathologic examination showed an infiltration of malignant lymphocytes into the renal parenchyma and mesentery. Immunohistochemical staining of the renal sample displayed a negative expression of CD3, PAX5, MUM-1, and CD79. The clinical features and prognosis of the cat with renal lymphoma with mesenteric lymphomatosis have been described in this report.
By employing the vinylite and neoprene latex corrosion technique, the ramification and arrangement of A. renalis were observed in fifty adult dogs (100 kidneys). Obtained results were as follows: 1. In the dog a single renal artery arosed on each side from abdominal aorta in 99% and double renal arteries in 1%, a single bifurcated into the ramus dorsalis and ramps ventralis from which 2-6 segmental arteries originated. 2. The dorsal ventral planes of the kidney were divided separately into 3-6 vascular segments by the segmental artery into the parenchyma. Of them four segments were mostly frequent (in 73% of right kidney and 72% of left). 3. The ramifying method of the segmental artery from the ramus dorsalis et ventralis was divided 3 types and 12 kinds. 4. In 30 of 100 kidneys, either dorsal or ventral plane of a kidney was supplied from interlobar or segmental arteries belonging to the opposite ramps. In 29 of them, the dorsal plane was supplied from the ventral ramus. 5. Six right and 11 left kidneys had a common segment in the Extremitas cranialis of the kidney.

Renal cell carcinoma(RCC) is one of the major malignant renal cell tumors. Although RCC can metastasize to almost every organ, the most common metastatic sites are the lung parenchyma, the bones, the liver, and the brain. Adrenal metastasis from RCC is extremely rare. Adrenal metastasis from RCC shows poor prognosis, with little benefit from chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hormone therapy or immunotherapy. In this report, we describe a case of an RCC patient who showed lung and adrenal metastasis. The patient underwent left nephrectomy and chemotherapy(sunitinib), which were not effective. He refused further conventional medical treatment, and instead started treatment with Traditional Korean Medicine using allergen-removed Rhus verniciflua Stokes. After about 3 months of this treatment, the size of the adrenal tumor had decreased significantly with good performance status. Further study will be needed to demonstrate the tumor regression effect of allergen-removed Rhus verniciflua Stokes on patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma.
