  • A remote monitoring system was developed to improve inconveniences of manual work such as monitoring street lights by using current sensors, microprocessor and RF communication system. In order to control the street lights on the roads effectively and monitor them in real time, we can attach current sensor to the street lights which monitors Lamp, the broken part and state of the Balast, and the amount of an electric leak precisely we developed a system which makes it possible to transmit the data on monitoring results in breakdown of street lights and Balasts to the central monitoring computer without setting up extra data transmission line. The system we devised can transmit data through Power Line Modem and RF communication using relay method to the central controlling computer without any loss of data.

  • These days, most of electric power facilities need high stability. Therefore integrated system has been required to monitor and control electronic power distribution system in fields at all times when the interruption of electric power has occurred. To construct this system, unit that convert and process the input signal from fields needed. And for control and monitoring from remote place MMI software is required. Lastly network equipments are required for real-time communications. So, in this paper, units for control and monitoring of emergency power generator and for electric power monitoring in normal electric power and interruption of electric power are developed. Also integrated remote system for monitoring in remote is developed.

  • 부산 해운대 백사장에 설치된 원격무인 자동 영상 관측시스템에서 관측한 비데오 영상을 이용하여 해안선 변화를 관측하고 분석하였다. 1999년 10월 태풍 바트 기간 중 촬영된 비데오 경사 영상들에 평균영상처리 및 기하 보정 기법을 적용함으로서 파랑과 조석에 의하여 변화되는 해안선의 변화에 대한 정량적인 분석을 시도하였다. 연구 결과 카메라 관측 시스템은 파랑과 조석 등에 의하여 계속적으로 변화하는 해안선을 저비용 고효율로 장기간 관측할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

  • The increasing concern over radiation exposure in the nuclear industry has fostered agrressive efforts to reduce the levels of radiation exposure. One area of the effot to reduce the radiation exposure is the development of a remote radiation monitoring system. Remote radiation monitoring can serve many benificaial functions reduce exposure to radiation by plant personnel, impruve the quality of the data that is collected and recognize the radiation environment easily. Radiation mapping system gives a good information that represents radiation level distribution. The system we have developed consists of a data acquistion parts, mobile robot and remote control parts. Data acquisition parts consist of radiation detection module and vision acquistion module which collect radiation data, visiion data and distance information. In remote control parts, the acquision data are processed and displayed. We have constructed radiation mapping image by overlaying the vision and radiation data. The radiation mapping techniques for displaying the results of the survey in an easily comprehendable form will facilitate a better understanding of the radiation environment in the facility. This system can reduce workers radiation exposure and aid to help work plan, so it has significant benifits in cost and safety.

  • 본 논문은 안드로이드 기반으로 구현된 실시간 원격 모니터링 시스템을 제안한다. 원격 모니터링 기술은 모니터링에 필요한 비용의 절감과 비정상 상태의 빠른 발견에 이점이 있다. 제안된 모니터링 시스템은 민감한 정보를 보호하기 위해 RSA(Rivest Shamir Adleman) 알고리즘을 이용하는 보안 통신을 사용한다. 가스터빈의 이상 상황이 발생하였을 때, 원격 모니터링 시스템은 사용자의 주의를 끌기 위해 푸시 메시지를 이용한 경고를 한다. 제안된 시스템은 가상 데이터 발생기를 포함하는 실험 환경에서의 실험으로 검증되었다.

  • Recently, factory automation and shop floor control system need a web based remote monitoring technology to control effectively machine tool. This paper describes a web based remote monitoring system which is concerned with open architecture controller for machine tool. The environment of this system consists of a lot of elements such as web server, database, machine tool, pc based controller, client computers and script programs, also which is interconnected by network including intranet or internet. Designed script programs, also which is interconnected by network including intranet or internet. Designed script program service current status and faults information of machine to remote users who want to monitor machine tool. Additionally those have various functions to service we board for q&a, downloading data and information of after-service managers.

  • This study proposes a remote monitoring of patients and emergency notification system with a camera and pulse wave sensor for U-Healthcare. The proposed system is a server client model based U-Healthcare system which consists of wireless clients that have micro-controller, embedded-board for patient status monitoring and a remote management server. The remote management server observes the change of pulse wave data individually in real-time sent from the clients that is to be remote-monitored based on the pulse wave data stored by users and divides them into caution section and emergency section. When the pulse wave data of a user enters an emergency situation, the administrator can make a decision based on the real-time image information and pulse rate variability. When the status of the monitored patient enters the emergency section, the proposed U-healthcare system notifies the administrator and relevant institutions. An experiment was conducted to demonstrate the pulse wave recognition of the proposed system.
