  • As the industry is developed, uses of various electric motor are increasing from general home to various fields of industry, and the kind becomes various daily. For these reasons, it is required to study the remote control and a package management about change of a speed drive system, the supervision of administration appliance by real time, and the collection and process data together using internet prevailed on industry whole. This paper deals with the development of a Web-Based remote control system for permanent magnet synchronous motor drives. The client/server system using TCP/IP protocols and DSP controller for remote control through internet and the Web interface that users can confirm data and state of PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) is developed. This system is available for driving, braking, variable speed control and monitoring for PMSM in real time through administration program of Web-Based.

  • Polishing a die that has free-form surfaces is a time-consuming and tedious job, and requires a considerable amount of high-precision skill. Some workers tend to gradually avoid the polishing work because of the poor working conditions caused by dust and noise. In the our previous study, an automatic polishing system was developed to reduce the polishing time and cope with the shortage of skilled workers. And, to operate the polishing robot system from remote sites, communication network was constructed and monitoring programs (a server program and a client program)) were developed.   • As the internet communication is prevalent in recent years, it becomes quite possible to monitor and control some mechanical plants from the remote place through the TCP/IP communication. Such a concept is expected to be applied to many industrial systems fur easy maintenance and trouble shooting as well as various kinds of expensive test equipments fo. sharing. Synthetic jet actuate.(SJA) is a kind of high-lifting device to prevent flow separation at high angle of attack and its use for flow control has received a great amount of attention. In this research, remote control and data monitoring system for SJA wind tunnel test is implemented by TCP/IP communication with DSP as a embedded web server. From the tests performed with embedded server, it showed the possibility of reliable remote control system design utilizing the internet communication.

  • This paper proposed a web-based open architecture monitoring system using the Java language. The proposed system can be implemented in any platform and the status of the process can be monitored in a remote station. The proposed scheme have been applied to a steam generator level controller for a nuclear power plant. The result shows the feasibility of the proposed system.

  • Recent natural disasters like flooding and slope collapse have shown the need for natural risk management system, as they endanger directly public health and cause severe damages on the national economy. In order to improve the efficiency of risk management systems, this management system based on AANN(Auto-Associative Neural Network)is proposed in this paper. AANN can be effectively used for identification of abnormal data and data compression. The proposed AANN-based risk management system collects and stores measurement data from sensors and transmits them to remote server for web-monitoring. Generally, it is desirable to transmit the compressed data instead of raw data in normal state. However, if dangerous situation happens, rapid tramission of measurement data should be required. These requirements are easily satisfied by using AANN. In order to verify the feasibilities of the proposed system, The AANN-based risk management system is applied to slope collapse monitoring system.

  • Recently, with the advancement of internet network the system has been needed to be controllable and observable through internet at industrial workplace. In this study, we developed the digital timer which has a communication function to control and observe many kinds of devices by combining relay and timer used for each type of control panel to realize control solution based on internet to be easily applicable at workplace with low cost and adding 485 serial communication module to have parallel expansibility and safety. And, this system was experimented and designed for easy system management and status check from remote station through internet. appling the developed digital timer to parallel sequence control of motor. As the result of experiment, the circuit configuration would be more simplified than the existing, and it is expected that multi-connection control and monitoring can be simply implemented with low cost equipment at industrial workplace.

  • This paper deals with the real-time monitoring and control system using PC, PDA(Win CE embedded device) and PCS(based BREW platform). The camera attached to the server captures the moving target, and the captured frame of color image is encoded in JPEG for image compression at the server. The client(PC, PDA, PCS) receives the image data from the remote server and the received image is decoded from decompression. We use the TCP/IP protocol to send the image frames. The client can control the position of the camera by sending the control command to the server. Two DC servo motors for the camera are controlled in any directions, up-down and left-right, by the controller which is communicating with the server via the serial communication to get the control command. In this way, on the client we can monitor the moving images at the server and also control the position of the camera.
