  • In this paper, we proposed an iris-based authentication for smart healthcare service in secure telemedicine system. The medical and healthcare information's are very important data in telemedicine system from privacy information. thus, the proposed system provides a secure and convenient authentication method than the traditional ID/PW authentication method to a telemedicine system for age-related chronic diseases. When considering the peculiarities of the use of age-related chronic diseases convenience and healthcare environments, the proposed approach is difficult to secure than traditional ID/PW authentication method with the appropriate means to easily change when stolen or lost to others. In addition, the telemedicine system for the smart healthcare services is one of the types of privacy sensitive medical and health data. it is very important security needs in telemedicine system. Thus we protocol are offer high confidentiality and integrity than existing ID/PW method.

  • The pandemic of COVID-19 is driving the demand for non-face-to-face diagnosis, observation, and treatment in the healthcare environment, which has led to increased interest in helathcare robots. The authors intend to predict the direction in which the quarantine healthcare robots should be utilized in the post-corona era through analysis of national agency reports, on-offline press reports, and domestic and foreign robot company press releases. The COVID-19 pandemic has raised interest in medical robots. And there is a need to apply healthcare robots that can perform tasks such as disinfection, logistics transfer, screening tests, monitoring of patients, remote medical treatment support for isolated patients, and video calls with family members. Therefore, it is considered that future correct development and application of healthcare robots and empirical research to verify them should be continued based on sufficient consideration for various problems associated with the practical application of robots.

  • In the environment of Internet of Things (IoT), IoT devices are limited by physical components such as power supply and memory, and also limited to their network performance in bandwidth, wireless channel, throughput, payload, etc. Despite these limitations, resources of IoT devices are shared with other IoT devices. Especially, remote management of the information of devices and patients are very important for the IoT healthcare service, moreover, providing the interoperability between the healthcare device and healthcare platform is essential. To meet these requirements, format of the message and the expressions for the data information and data transmission need to comply with suitable international standards for the IoT environment. However, the ISO/IEEE 11073 PHD (Personal Healthcare Device) standards, the existing international standards for the transmission of health informatics, does not consider the IoT environment, and therefore it is difficult to be applied for the IoT healthcare service. For this matter, we have designed and implemented the IoT healthcare system by applying the oneM2M, standards for the Internet of Things, and ISO/IEEE 11073 DIM (Domain Information Model), standards for the transmission of health informatics. For the implementation, the OM2M platform, which is based on the oneM2M standards, has been used. To evaluate the efficiency of transfer syntaxes between the healthcare device and OM2M platform, we have implemented comparative performance evaluation between HTTP and CoAP, and also between XML and JSON by comparing the packet size and number of packets in one transaction.

  • The COVID-19 pandemic has been reshaping the world by accelerating non-contact services and technologies in various domains. Hospitals as a healthcare system lie at the center of the dramatic change because of their fundamental roles: medical diagnosis and treatments. Leading experts in health, science, and technologies have predicted that robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) can drive such a hospital transformation. Accordingly, several government-led projects have been developed and started toward smarter hospitals, where robots and AI replace or support healthcare personnel, particularly in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment procedures. This article inspects the remaining element of healthcare services, i.e., surgical treatment, focusing on evaluating whether or not currently available laparoscopic surgical robotic systems are sufficiently preparing for the era of post-COVID-19 when contactless is the new normal. Challenges and future directions towards an effective, fully non-contact surgery are identified and summarized, including remote surgery assistance, domain-expansion of robotic surgery, and seamless integration with smart operating rooms, followed by emphasis on robot tranining for surgical staff.

  • Active studies are under way on telemedicine and medical support based on mobile devices in order to vitalize U-Healthcare. Especially when the medical law is revised to allow a remote prescription system, studies on a mobile prescription system will rapidly increase. And yet since mobile apps have less compatibility due to the nature of mobile platform, there is a restriction that they have to be redeveloped to be compatible with the platform. To compensate this problem, this study designs a mobile web prescription interface by using HLTML5, the standard language of mobile web development and jQuery Mobile, a JavaScript Library. It also adds a feature of converting to a form of standard protocol HL7-based messages to share data with existing hospital information system. This interface makes it possible to be interlocked with the existing hospital information system through the transmission of the HL7 messages. The advantage of the proposed system is that it can be used in various environments since it is independent of mobile platforms and compatible with general computers.

  • High blood pressure is main today's adult disease and existing blood pressure gauge is not possible for real-time blood pressure measurement and remote monitoring. But real-time blood pressure monitoring u-healthcare system makes effect health management. In my paper, for monitoring real-time blood pressure, an architecture of real-time blood pressure monitoring system which consisted of wrist type-blood pressure measurement, smart-phone and u-healthcare server is presented. And the analog circuit architecture which is major core function for pulse wave detection and digital hardware architecture for wrist type-blood pressure measurement is presented. Also for software development to operate this hardware system, UML analysis method and flowcharts and screen design for this software design are showed. Therefore such design method in my paper is expected to be useful for real-time blood pressure monitoring u-healthcare system implementation.

  • Cyber-Physical Systems are tight integration of computation, networking and physical objects to sense, monitor, and control the physical world. This paper presents a novel architecture that combines two next generation technologies i.e. cyber-physical systems and Cloud computing to develop a ubiquitous healthcare based infrastructure. Through this infrastructure, patients and elderly people get remote assistance, monitoring of their health conditions and medication while living in proximity of home. Consequently, this leads to major cost savings. However, there are various challenges that need to be overcome before building such systems. These challenges include making system real-time responsive, reliability, stability and privacy. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an architecture that deals with these challenges.

  • As the society changes more to the aging society in future, many healthcare product are developed and distributed more on the market. The digital wrist band tye blood pressure device for home use are popular already in the market. It is useful for checking blood pressure level at home and control of hypertension. Especially. It is very essential home device to check the health condition of blood circulation disease. Nowadays many product types are available. But the measurement accuracy of blood pressure is not enough compared to the mechanical type. It needs to be upgraded to assure the precise health data enough to use in the hospital. The structure, feature and output signal of capacitor type pressure sensors are analyzed. An improved design fa capacitor sensor is suggested. It shows more precise health data after use on a wrist band type health unit. They can be applied for remote u-health medical service.
