The purpose of this study was to identify the stress of remarried elderly in their remarried life. There were 10 remarried elderly respondents. The data was collected by in-depth personal interview. Focusing on the situation of remarried family life the remarried elderly perceived various stress. Those were the stress from the status of remarried person and the stress from relations with their own children/ new spouse/ new spouse's children/ ex-spouse and ex-kin/ sibling and relatives and friends. The results of this study could be a useful material for elderly's remarriage preparation program.

본 연구의 목적은 재혼한 노인들이 겪는 경험의 세계를 사고방식 및 생활양식 속에 내재되어 있는 의미뿐만 아니라 사회 문화적 맥락에서 이해하기 위해서이다. 연구대상자는 자신의 경험을 충분히 표현할 수 있는 65세 이후 재혼한 부부 3쌍을 임의표집 하였다. Strauss와 Corbin(1998)의 근거이론방법을 적용한 질적 연구이며, 참여자 진술로부터 86개의 의미 있는 문장을 도출하고 30개의 주제로 구분하여 13개로 범주화하였다. 연구결과 중심현상은 '결혼생활에 대한 양가감정'이었으며, 이를 조율해 나가는 중재조건은 '배우자와 가족들의 인정과 신뢰', '적절한 보상'이었으며 이를 대처하도록 고안된 작용/상호작용전략은 '배우자를 이해하려고 노력하기'로 나타났다. 이상의 결과들은 재혼 노인의 결혼생활 적응과정에 대한 본질을 이해하는데 도움이 될 것이며, 이를 통해 성공적인 재혼생활을 영위하고 홀로된 노인들이 당면하고 있는 현실적인 문제에 접근할 수 있는 기초자료가 되기를 기대한다.

본 연구는 노인문제에 대하여 이를 노인 개인이나 가족의 문제로 국한하지 않고 사회 전체의 문제로 파악하는 최근의 연구에 부응하여 노인문제를 사회문제의 측면에서 해결방안을 찾고자 하는 연구이다. 본 연구방법은 이론과 현장에 나타난 논쟁점을 중심으로 노인문제의 실태를 분석하였다. 먼저 노인문제에 관한 이론적 논거로 구조기능주의((structural functionalism), 갈등주의 이론(conflict theory), 상징적 상호작용주의(symbolic interaction theory) 등의 시각에서 노인문제를 파악하고자 하였다. 노인문제의 논쟁점으로는 노인 가구의 증가, 노인의 이혼 증가 및 재혼 감소, 노동시장에서의 배제, 그리고 정치적 참여와 자원봉사의 딜레마 등을 선정하여 이에 대한 현황과 그 문제점을 연구하였다. 연구 결과, 사회문제의 측면에서 노인문제를 해결방안으로 첫째, 노인에 대한 인식전환이 필요하다. 둘째, 노인에 대한 부정적 인식 제거해야 한다. 셋째, 국가와 민간의 상호보완관계 정립해야 한다. 결론적으로 사회문제의 측면에서 노인문제를 해결하기 위해서는 노인문제를 대상 노인 개인이나 가족의 문제로 국한시킬 것이 아니라 이를 사회문제로 공론화하여 사회 전체가 선제적으로 대응해야 할 것이다.

It was quite an achievement to actualize family welfare, announcing' Healthy Family Basic Acts(2004)', which enabled to pursue comprehensive welfare policy including family life as a unit. This has enhanced family function, converting into consolidated family-centered service system, creating a new paradigm. The family life education must be spreaded and activated in the way of family welfare service, as to improve the quality of life, while reducing social problems regarding to the boundary of family. So This study aims at investigating the level of aspiration out from the family life education and the fact-revealing of training program within the family life. To examine these matters, 356 married women living in Seoul were selected. The results are as follows family life education and the training program each other showed little relevance that merely $45{\%}$ attended the program. Life planning program for Elderly was mostly asked in the research of the degree of family life education program. Besides, many of them demanded for the family care program for those who have divorced, remarried or adopted the child, showing their active will to solve them which have been dealt quite privately. Family life education is dealing with the current problem solving and future life planning. In this regard, it is strongly needed to experience and learn the dynamics of family life for lifetimes. Systemic family life education must be accomplished to solve, prevent and to cope with family problems.
