A holistic approach to diabetes considers patient preferences, emotional health, living conditions, and other contextual factors, in addition to medication selection. Human and social factors influence treatment adherence and clinical outcomes. Social issues, cost of care, out-of-pocket expenses, pill burden (number and frequency), and injectable drugs such as insulin, can affect adherence. Clinicians can ask about these contextual factors when discussing treatment options with patients. Patients' emotional health can also affect diabetes self-care. Social stressors such as family issues may impair self-care behaviors. Diabetes can also lead to emotional stress. Diabetes distress correlates with worse glycemic control and lower overall well-being. Patient-centered communication can build the foundation of a trusting relationship with the clinician. Respect for patient preferences and fears can build trust. Relevant communication skills include asking open-ended questions, expressing empathy, active listening, and exploring the patient's perspective. Glycemic goals must be personalized based on frailty, the risk of hypoglycemia, and healthy life expectancy. Lifestyle counseling requires a nonjudgmental approach and tactfulness. The art of diabetes care rests on clinicians perceiving a patient's emotional state. Tailoring the level of advice and diabetes targets based on a patient's personal and contextual factors requires mindfulness by clinicians.

This study examines the rise of the Body Positive Movement on TikTok and its role as a form of online content activism influencing the fashion design and industry. Through a combination of literature review and case study methodology, the study explores the expression techniques and thematic types of Body Positive Movement on TikTok. Reviews of literature, previous studies, online articles, fashion journals, and relevant search terms on TikTok informed a definition of Body Positive Movement and an analysis of its formation and rise. The research findings confirm the impact TikTok content on Body Positive Movement has on the fashion industry in addressing external factors (i.e., 'Appearance', 'Race', 'Aging', 'Physical Disability') and intrinsic factors (i.e., 'Acceptance of Diversity', 'Self-Esteem', 'Rejection of Stereotypes', 'Appropriate Representation', 'Information Provision'). The key external factor , 'Appearance', includes subcategories such as 'Body Shape', 'Body Hair', 'Skin', and 'Facial Features'. TikTok content creators on fashion creatively combine music, emojis, and visual storytelling to exhibit positive self-perception concerning these factors. A significant finding of the study is that short clips predominantly manifesting external factors differentiate into informative or enlightening videos associated with intrinsic factors. The study underscores Body Positive Movement's important influence on the fashion industry from design to presentation.

PURPOSE. This study aims to assess and predict lifespan of dental prostheses using newly developed Korean Association of Prosthodontics (KAP) criteria through a large-scale, multi-institutional survey. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Survey was conducted including 16 institutions. Cox proportional hazards model and principal component analysis (PCA) were used to find out relevant factors and predict life expectancy. RESULTS. 1,703 fixed and 815 removable prostheses data were collected and evaluated. Statistically significant factors in fixed prosthesis failure were plaque index and material type, with a median survival of 10 to 18 years and 14 to 20 years each. In removable prosthesis, factors were national health insurance coverage, antagonist type, and prosthesis type (complete or partial denture), with median survival of 10 to 13 years, 11 to 14 years, and 10 to 15 years each. For still-usable prostheses, PCA analysis predicted an additional 3 years in fixed and 4.8 years in removable prosthesis. CONCLUSION. Life expectancy of a prosthesis differed significantly by factors mostly controllable either by dentist or a patient. Overall life expectancy was shown to be longer than previous research.

이 연구는 빅데이터를 활용하여 영화흥행 요인을 분석하는 것이 목적이다. 한국의 영화산업 규모는 날로 커지고 있지만, 현재까지 진행되어온 영화 흥행 요인 분석 및 예측과 관련된 논의는 관련 데이터를 망라하지 못해 정확성을 담보할 수 없는 상황이었다. 지금까지 한국에서의 천만 영화는 총 13편이 있었고, 이 연구에서는 천만 흥행에 눈물과 웃음이 주된 텍스트 내적 요인으로 작용함을 밝혔다. 이에 빅데이터를 활용해 영화에 대한 댓글 중 웃음과 눈물과 관련된 용어를 수집한 후, 영화의 구성 5단계(발단-전개-위기-절정-결말) 중 어느 부분에 웃음과 눈물 요소가 많은지를 도표화하여 천만 영화의 장르별 구성 방식을 논증하였다. 이러한 분석 결과는 앞으로 영화 제작 전 단계에서 시나리오 상에서의 흥행 예측을 하는 종합적인 데이터베이스 구축에 기여하게 될 것이다.

본 연구에서는 서울지역 전통시장을 중심으로 성공적인 도시재생을 위해 전통시장의 시설개선과 같은 물리적 정비 요소 중 어떤 요소들이 성공적인 도시재생을 위한 기대감과 활성화 인식에 더 큰 영향을 미치는지에 대해 실증분석을 하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 서울 도심부에 위치하며, 최근 여러 형태의 활성화 요인으로 일반 소비자는 물론 국내뿐만 아니라 외국의 많은 관광객이 방문하여 도심부 상권에 활력을 불어넣고 있는 전통시장을 대상으로 총 515부의 설문지가 분석에 활용되었다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 23.0과 AMOS 22.0을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과로는 도시재생활성화 요인(심리적, 물리적, 다양성, 기능적, 안정성) 요인을 도출하였으며, 도시재생에 대한 기대감에 활성화 요인이 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 성공적인 도시재생을 위한 전통시장의 개념을 포괄적으로 평가할 수 있는 기준을 제안하고 더불어 도시재생을 위한 전통시장의 활성화 요인를 재조명했다는 데에 의의가 있다. 즉, 실질적으로 전통시장을 이용하는 시민들을 대상으로 하여 추후 도시재생이 이루어지기 위한 계획과 실천 부분에 있어서 전통시장의 활성화를 위한 종합적 진단 방안을 제시하였다고 할 수 있다.

This study attempts to understand factors influencing the persistence of companie's outsourcing arrangements using the techniques of survival analysis. It provides an insight into the dynamics of outsourcing relationships between clients and vendors. This is particularly relevant considering that current IS sourcing arrangements are strategic and long term, and require close interdependent relationships between the client and the vendor.

New electronic commercial paradign is now diffusing based on the rapid growth of computer network infrastructure and, therefore, online shopping malls are aggressively expanding all over the world. In this paper, we identify facilitating factors that affect active utilization of online shopping mall considering customers' needs and convenience such as service availability, information relevance to customers' needs. and system convinience. Empirical data analysis was performed for nine Korean online shopping malls. Results suggest that current shopping malls should concentrate on delivering relevant information to the customers needs and developing convenient shopping mall systems.

This paper presents a similarity coefficient based approach to the problem of machine-part grouping for cellular manufacturing. The method uses relevant production data such as part type, production volume, routing sequence to make machine cells and part families for cell formation. A new similarity coefficient using weighted factors is introduced and an algorithm for formation of machine cells and part families is developed. A comparative study of two similarity coefficients - Gupta and seifoddini's method and proposed method - is conducted. A software program using TURBO C has been developed to verify the implementation.
