As a new alternative communication scheme in 5G, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is used as a relay in the remote base station (BS) for assistant communication. In order to ameliorate the quality of the backhaul link, a UAV backhaul transmission scheme based on improved Nash equilibrium (NE) strategy is proposed. First, the capacity of air-to-ground (A2G) channel by the link preprocess is maximized. Then, the maximum utility function of each UAV is used as the basis of obtaining NE point according to the backhaul channel and the backhaul congestion. Finally, the improved NE strategy is applied in multiple iterations until maximum utility functions of all the UAVs are reached, and the UAVs which are rejected by air-to-air (A2A) link during the process would participate in the source recovery process to construct a multi-hop backhaul network. Simulation results show that average effective backhaul rate, minimum effective backhaul rate increases by 10%, 28.5% respectively in ideal A2G channel, and 11.8%, 42.3% respectively in fading channel, comparing to pure NE strategy. And the average number of iterations is decreased by 5%.
Recently, independent suspension systems have been applied not only to passenger cars but also to large commercial vehicles. Therefore, the need for research to domestically produce such independent suspensions for large commercial vehicles is gradually increasing. In this paper, we conducted research on the manufacturing technology of the relay lever, which are integral components of independent suspension systems for large commercial vehicles. Our goal was to reduce the flash volume generated during the forging process. The shape variables of the initial billet were adjusted to find proper forming conditions that could minimize flash volume while performing product forming smoothly. Shape variables were set as input variables and the flash volume was set as an output variable, and simulations were carried out to analytically predict the volume of the flash area for each variable condition. Based on the data obtained through numerical simulations, a regression model and an artificial neural network model were used to develop a prediction model that can easily predict the flash volume for variable conditions. For the corresponding prediction model, a goodness of-fit test was performed to confirm a high level of fit. By comparing and analyzing the two prediction models, the high level of fit of the ANN model was confirmed.
This paper presents a neural network-based computational scheme to generate the optimized robotic assembly sequence for an assembly product consisting of a number of parts. An assembly sequence is considered to be optimal when it meets a number of conditions : it must satisfy assembly constraints, keep the stability of in-process subassemblies, and minimize assembly cost. To derive such an optimal sequence, we propose a scheme using both the Hopfield neural network and the expert system. Based upon the inferred precedence constraints and the assembly costs from the expert system, we derive the evolution equation of the network. To illustrate the suitability of the proposed scheme, a case study is presented for industrial product of an electrical relay. The result is compared with that obtained from the expert system.
A frequency assignment problem on time division duplex system is considered. Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) has been establishing an infrastructure of tactical communication (SPIDER) system for next generation and it will be a core network structure of system. VHF system is the backbone network of SPIDER, that performs transmission of data such as voice, text and images. So, it is a significant problem finding the frequency assignment with no interference under very restricted resource environment. With a given arbitrary configuration of communications network, we find a feasible solution that guarantees communication without interference between sites and relay stations. We formulate a frequency assignment problem as an Integer Programming model, which has NP-hard complexity. To find the assignment results within a reasonable time, we take a genetic algorithm approach which represents the solution structure with available frequency order, and develop a genetic operation strategies. Computational result shows that the network configuration of SPIDER can be solved efficiently within a very short time.
In this paper, a tradeoff between the total energy consumption-per-bit and the end-to-end rate under spatial reuse in wireless multi-hop network is developed and analyzed. The end-to-end rate of the network is the number of information bits transmitted (end-to-end) per channel use by any node in the network that is forwarding the data. In order to increase the bandwidth efficiency, spatial reuse is considered whereby simultaneous relay transmissions are allowed provided there is a minimum separation between such transmitters. The total energy consumption-per-bit includes the energy transmitted and the energy consumed by the receiver to process (demodulate and decoder) the received signal. The total energy consumption-per-bit is normalized by the distance between a source-destination pair in order to be consistent with a direct (single-hop) communication network. Lower bounds on this energy-bandwidth tradeoff are analyzed using convex optimization methods. For a given location of relays, it is shown that the total energy consumption-per-bit is minimized by optimally selecting the end-to-end rate. It is also demonstrated that spatial reuse can improve the bandwidth efficiency for a given total energy consumption-per-bit. However, at the rate that minimizes the total energy consumption-per-bit, spatial reuse does not provide lower energy consumption-per-bit compared to the case without spatial reuse. This is because spatial reuse requires more receiver energy consumption at a given end-to-end rate. Such degraded energy efficiency can be compensated by varying the minimum separation of hops between simultaneous transmitters. In the case of equi-spaced relays, analytical results for the energy-bandwidth tradeoff are provided and it is shown that the minimum energy consumption-per-bit decreases linearly with the end-to-end distance.
In this paper, the protectability of distance relay is furtherly researched. Based on the probabilistic modeling of the measurement errors, the protectability of three zones is presented in detail by considering their different protection aims denoted by sensitivity and selectivity. The optimal setting for the each zone can be obtained to provide a reference for the practical application.
제안된 기법은 소스와 중계기 프리코딩 행렬의 최적해를 구하기 위해 QCQP(Quadratically Constrained Quadratic Programming) 문제를 통해 구한다. 제안된 기법은 기존라디오 수신기에서의 간섭세기 제한을 만족하면서 낮은 MSE(Mean squared error)와 높은 MI(Mutual Information)를 달성함을 모의실험결과를 통해 보인다.
