패류 맵사리(Ceratostoma rorifluum)의 생식세포형성과 생식주기 (Gametogenesis and Reproductive Cycle of the Murex Shell Ceratostoma rorifluum(Neogastropoda: Muricidae))

  • Gonadal development, gametogenesis, reproductive cycle, spawning, relative weight of flesh, and onset of sexual maturity of the murex shell, Ceratostoma rorifluum, collected from the rocky intertidal zone of Daehang-ri, Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do, Korea were investigated monthly from January to December 2005 both cytologically and histologically. The gonads were widely placed on the digestive gland located in the posterior spiral fleshy part in the shell. C. rorifluum had separate sexes, and was an internal fertilizer. The sex ratio of females to males was approximately 1:1. The ovary and testis contained a great number of oogenic follicles and spermatogenic tubules, respectively. The oogonia and fully ripe oocytes were $15-19{\mu}m$ and $150-160{\mu}m$ in diameter, respectively, and the cytoplasm of the ripe oocytes contained a number of yolk granules. The relative weight of flesh reached a maximum in August($39.35{\pm}0.40%$), and then decreased rapidly in November($32.75{\pm}1.20%$). The percentages of female and male snails at first sexual maturity with shell heights ranging from 12.1-14.0 mm were 60.0% and 52.9%, respectively, while 100% of the snails of both sexes with shell heights over 18.1 mm were reproductively active. Based on the gonadal development and histological observations, the reproductive cycle of the snail could be categorized into five successive stages: early active(December to May), late active(March to July), ripe(June to September), spawning(July to October), and recovery(October to March). C. rorifluum spawned once a year between July and October, and the majority of spawning occurred in September when the seawater temperature exceeded $23.5^{\circ}C$.

제주산 만감류 청견의 저장 중 펙틴 및 펙틴분해효소 활성의 변화 (Changes in Pectin and Pectin Degrading Enzymes Activity during Storage of Kiyomi Tangor Produced in Jeju)

  • Kiyomi tangor(Citus unshiu x sinensis) was stored at 3$\^{C}$ and 85% relative humidity, and the changes in firmness, pectin degrading enzymes activity and other physicochemical properties of citrus fruits during storage were investigated. Decay ratio and weight loss during 180 days’ storage were increased gradually to 13.0% and 12.9%, respectively. Firmness of fruits with 2 mm probe was decreased gradually from 808.7 g-force to 406.4 g-force, and moisture of peel and flesh were decreased from 76.5% to from 89.6% to 87.6% during storage, respectively. Exo-polygalacturonase activity of peel after 150 days’ storage were increased gradually to 558.09 units/100g. Pectin methylesterase activity of peel and flesh were increased from 14.7 units/g to 2.3 units/g, and from 9.4 units/ml to 2.7 units/ml at 150days’ storage, respectively. Endo-polygalacturonase activities were not changed notably during storage. Alcohol-insoluble solid(AIS) of peel was not changed notably. During storage of the fruits water soluble pectin(WSP) of peel and flesh were increased from 474.49 mg/100g to 614.29mg/100g, and from 66.91mg/100g to 92.74mg/100g as wet basis, respectively. Hexameta-phosphate soluble pectin(HMP) of peel were decreased from 405.5mg/100g to 270.43mg/100g, hydochloric acid soluble pectin(HSP) of peel was also decreased from 544.02mg/100g to 412.64mg/100g during storage. Total pectin substance(TPS) of peel and flesh were decreased from 1,424.01mg/100g to 1,297.36mg/100g, and from 165.51mg/100g to 171.54mg/100g, respectively. Composition ratio of pectin was in order of WSP > HSP > HMP.

Postharvest 약제가 처리된 사과의 저장조건에 따른 품질변화 (Change in the Quality of Apples Treated with Postharvest Fungicides under Different Storage Conditions)

  • This study was conducted to determine the effects of storage conditions on apples treated with postharvest fungicides, benomyl and bitertanol. The fungicideds were applied to control Postharverst disease in apples during CA and cold storage. The stored Apple were tested monthly for weight loss, flesh firmness, titratable acidity, prix and free sugar. Relative to the control group, the pstharvest fungicide stoup had less disease. The fungicide treated apples stored in CA had a higher measured weight, better firmness and maintained acidity, prix and free sugar when compared to the control stoup monthly and after 200days. The fungicide treated apples in cold storage maintained their quality for 120days.

양송이 버섯의 MAP및 CA저장 효과 (Effect of M.A.P. and C.A. storage on quality of Mushrooms(Agaricus bisporus) during storage)

  • In order to study the effect of modified atmosphere packaging(M.A.P.) and controlled atmosphere(C. A.) storage on keeping freshness of mushrooms (Agricus-bisporus). Mushrooms was packaged with polyethylene(P.E.) film (40${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, 60${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, 80${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$) and C.A. conditions(CO2 concentration of 2%, O2 concentration of 2%) and storage at 0$\pm$1$^{\circ}C$, RH(relative hummidity) 92$\pm$1%. Gas composition in film was changed rapidly at early of storage, but it kept a constant level after 14 days of storage, and then kept at the level of 6~9% CO2 and 2~5% O2. Weight loss was 5% in non-packed mushrooms after 3 days of storage, but P.E. film, CO2 treated, C.A. conditions were 5% after 21 days of storage. Flesh firmness of the mushrooms was continuously decreased throughout storage period and the lowest of flesh firmness changed was 80${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$-P.E. film packing. Discoloration of the piteous of mushrooms appears to be the most Important factors to determine its marketability, L value of it appears to be of the high values at P.E. film packing and C.A. conditions during period. Large amount of ethanol and acetaldehyde were produced from the 7 days during storage, large contents of mannitol and trehalose were at the 14 days and 7 days during storage.

  • 본 연구에서는 한국 서해 인천 연안의 송도 갯벌 조간대에 서식하는 동죽(Mactra veneriformis)의 성장과 생산을 조사하였다. 표품은 1989년 3월부터 1990년 9월까지 월별로 채집하였다. 각장은 1989년 3월부터 8월까지 단일 규모 모드를 보였보였다. 1989년 9월부터는 1990년 9월부터는 작은 개체들이 출현하기 시작하여 이중모드를 보 였다. 서식밀도는 다소 불규칙적으로 변동하였으나, 대체로 시간이 경과함에 따라 감 소하는 경향을 보였다. 1989 연도군의 서식밀도는 1990년 2월 이후 급격히 증가하였 다. 각장은 봄에 성장이 빠르고, 산란기 이후 여름과 가을에 둔화되며, 겨울에 성장을 멈추었다. 성장률은 연령이 증가될수록 감소하였다. 중량은 산란기 직전에 늦봄에 최 대값을 보이고, 가을에 2차 최대값을 나타내었다. 윤장과 이로부터 역계산한 육질부 건중량으로 연성장을 분석하였다. 각장은 vov bertalanffy 성장 모델에, 건중량은 Gompertz 성장모델에 잘 적합되었다. 1985년군의 L∽가 가장 높고, 1986년 군이 가장 낮았다. 중량의 성장률은 2∼3세에서 최대값을 나타내었다. 1984년군과 1985년군의 W ∽와 성장률이 높았고, 1986년군과 1987년군이 낮았다. 최대성장률이 나타나는 연령은 1986년군과 1987년군이 더 빨랐다. 각장과 중륭의 상대 성장률은 연령에 따라 지수함 수적으로 감소하였다. 육질부 건중량의 생물량은 모든 연령군에서 봄에 높았다가 산란 기 이후 감소하여 겨울에 최저치를 보였다. 생물량은 1990년 8월에 134.6g·m/SUP -2/ 으로 가장 높았다. 1989년도군이 가입한 이후에는 1989년군의 생물량이 총 생물량의 변동을 지배하였다. 1989년 3월부터 1990년 3월까지의 연소연량은 67.9g·m/SUP -2/· y/SUP -1/이었다. 조사기간동안 1989년도군의 누적 생산량이 가장 높았고, 1984년군이 가장 적었다. 생산량은 봄과 가을에 증가하였고, 여름과 겨울에 0의 값을 보였다.

Effects of Continuous Application of CO2 on Fruit Quality Attributes and Shelf Life during Cold Storage in Cherry Tomato

  • 'Unicon' cherry tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is one of the most highly perishable horticultural crops due to its high water content and respiration rate. This study was carried out to assess the effect of continuous application of $CO_2$ (control [air], 3%, and 5%) on the quality and shelf life of cherry tomato fruits stored at $10^{\circ}C$ and $85{\pm}5%$ relative humidity (RH) at two maturity stages (pink and red). Continuous application of $CO_2$ did not affect the soluble solids content (SSC) or titratable acidity (TA) of the fruit at either maturity stage during storage. However, there was a significant difference among treatments in terms of flesh firmness, cell wall thickness, pectin content, vitamin C content, skin color, lycopene content, weight loss, ethylene production rate, respiration rate, and acetaldehyde and ethanol production. Fruits treated with 5% $CO_2$ maintained their high quality with regards to vitamin C, skin color ($a^*$), lycopene content, weight loss, physiological parameters (ethylene production rate, respiration rate, and volatile compounds), flesh firmness, cell wall thickness, and pectin content at both maturity stages compared with 3% $CO_2$ treatment and the control. Continuous application of $CO_2$ (5%) reduced the ethylene production rate and the production of volatile compounds during storage. Therefore, cherry tomato 'Unicon' fruit can be stored for two weeks without losing fruit quality at both maturity stages under continuous application of 5% $CO_2$ as a postharvest treatment.

  • 673 third-year students of boy's and girl's high schools in Taegu city and Kuni-gun and Youngyang-gun and Euisung-gun in Kyongbuk province were selected and investigated as the subject, of this study on the correlation between Lee Jae Ma's Four Types of Essential Physical Constitution and Physical Form index. The result of the study was found as follows. First, as for Height, the findings were not identical with the expression that "person of shaoyin(minor Yin) Type are short and small -- while person of Taiyin (major Yin) Type are tall and big," cited in classification of four different constitutions in a document named "Dong-Eu-Su-Se-Bo-Won". Comparison of persons of Shaoyang (minor Yang) - Type proved infitness due to the lack of data on Height in documents concerning Lee Jae Ma's four types of essential physical constitution. Second, as for Sitting Height, the correlation was prored between the findings of this study and the expression in the above document describing external physical characteristics of shaoyin-Type persons that "The upper part and' the lower part of the body are well balanced", but in point of Relative Sitting Height, none between the two. Third, as for Chest-Girth and Relative Chest-Girth plus Weight and Relative Weight, the expression that "Persons of Taiyin(major Yin) Type have the largest physique of the lour types of persons in the characteristics of external physical features, and that they also tend to have continental(widechest or large-scaled) character and strong nerve, that they are stoutly-built and fal." proved to have the correlation with the findings of this study. Fourth, in point of Chest-Girth and Relative Chest-Girth, this study found that its findings have the correlation with the phrase that "Chests are well developed upwar -- and sturdy and solid." in describing the characteristics of Shaoyang (minor Yang)-Type person' external physical features, and that with the phrase that "Chests are narrow" in the case of Shaoyin(minor Yin)-Type persons. Fifth, as for Weight and Relative Weight, the correlation was found between the findings and the expression that "shaoyin-Type persons have comparatively less flesh" as a sign of external physical characteristics of Shaoyin-Type persons. The above-cited findings proved that there exist some correlations between external physique of the Lee Jae Ma's four types of essential constitution and physical Form Indexes. Actually, however, in clinical classification, it is desirable that this approach should be consulted only after carefull consideration based on Lee Jae Ma's theory, and it seems imperative to continue the study of objectivization of Lee's theory.

여름철 파프리카 수경재배 시 시설 내 포그냉방이 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Fog-cooling on the Growth and Yield of Hydroponic Paprika in Grown Summer Season)

  • 여름철에 파프리카 코이어 배지경에서 'Cupra', 'Piesta' 2품종을 공시하여 시설 내 포그냉방 효과에 의한 파프리카 생육을 검토코자 하였다. 시설 내 포그 냉방처리를 통해 무처리보다 온실 내의 온도가 $2{\sim}3^{\circ}C$ 낮았으며 최고온도를 $35^{\circ}C$이하로, 그리고 실내습도도 80% 내외로 유지할 수가 있었다. 초장, 엽수 등 생육은 포그냉방 처리구가 무처리에 비해 양호하였다. 평균과중은 두 품종 모두 포그냉방 처리구에서 158~160g으로 무처리보다 무거웠고, 주당 착과수는 'Cupra', 'Piesta' 모두 포그냉방 처리구가 각각 18.4, 18.3개로 무처리에 비해 7~8개 많았다. 상품수량은 'Cupra', 'Piesta' 두 품종 모두 포그냉방 처리구가 각각 6,027, 5,890kg/10a으로 무처리에 비해 유의적으로 많았다. 과실의 당도는 처리간에 차이가 없었으며 'Cupra', 'Piesta' 두 품종 모두 $5{\sim}6^{\circ}Bx$ 였으며 과육의 두께는 포그냉방 처리 효과가 없었다. 과실의 열과 발생률은 포그냉방 처리구가 낮았으며 품종 간에는 차이가 없었다. 이상의 결과에서 여름철 파프리카 수경재배시 포그냉방으로 시설내 온도의 강하와 습도조절이 가능하였으며 그에 따른 결과, 생육이 양호하며 과실의 품질 또한 좋아짐을 알 수 있었다.

봉지종류 및 제거시기가 참외의 당도 및 색도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Bagging Material and Removal Time on Soluble Solid and Fruit Color of Oriental Melon(Cucumis melo L. var makuwa Makino))

  • 참외를 껍질째 먹기 위하여 착과 5일후부터 과실에 배, 사과, 포도봉지를 씌워 재배한 결과, 봉지내의 온도는 외기온에 비하여 주간에는 낮고 야간에는 높았으며 습도는 주간에는 높고 야간에는 낮았다. 무처리구에 비하여 봉지재배로 과장은 짧고 과폭은 좁고 과육두께는 얇고 과중은 가벼운 경향이었으나 처리간 차이는 없었다. 과육 및 태좌부의 당도는 봉지재배 처리구에서 낮은 경향이었으나 처리간 차이는 없었다. 그러나 과실의 당도는 봉지제거 직후 보다는 봉지제거 5일후 조사에서 높아지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 봉지재배로 과피의 경도 및 색도가 낮았다. 이와 같이 봉지재배로 과피의 경도가 낮아 껍질째 먹기는 쉬워졌으나 과피의 색도 및 당도가 낮아 금후 보완이 필요한 것으로 생각된다.

저장습도가 온주밀감의 저장에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Humidity on the Storage Life of Satsuma Mandarin)

  • 제주산 궁천조생 온주밀감의 저장효과를 검토하기 위하여 저장 중 각각 $3^{circ}C$, 90%와 85% 상대습도에서 저온저장하였으며, 습도 조절이 안된 상온저장과 비교하였다. 중량감소는 저장 98일까지 각각 90% 습도에서는 3.40%, 85% 습도에서는 6.92%, 상온저장에서는 11.87%로서 습도가 높을수록 중량감소는 적었다. 그러나 90% 습도에서 저장한 감귤은 저장 98일 이후 부패율이 3.87%에서 급격히 증가하여 126일에 48.75%에 이르렀다. 과육율과 가용성고형물은 저장기간 중 큰 변화를 보이지 않았다. 경도는 저장 중 계속하여 감소하였고, 특히 상온저장에서 감소가 심하였다. 산 함량과 비타민 C 변화는 호흡작용에 의해 저장기간이 경과함에 따라 계속하여 감소하였다. 상온저장에서는 저온저장에 비해 착색이 계속 진행됨을 알 수 있었다. 관능평가와 내용성분을 기준한다면 품질 유지를 위해서는 $3^{circ}C$, 85% 상대습도에서 수확후 100일 정도가 조생온주 밀감의 최적 저장기간으로 판단되었다.
