바퀴 슬립과 잠김 방지 제어를 고려한 차량의 종렬 브레이크 제어 (Vehicle Longitudinal Brake Control with Wheel Slip and Antilock Control)

  • In this paper, a 4-wheel vehicle model including the effects of tire slip was considered, along with variable parameter sliding control, in order to improve the performance of the vehicle longitudinal response. The variable sliding parameter is made to be proportional to the square root of the pressure derivative at the wheel, in order to compensate for large pressure changes in the brake cylinder. A typical tire force-relative slip curve for dry road conditions was used to generate an analytical tire force-relative slip function, and an antilock sliding control process based on the analytical tire force-relative slip function was used. A retrofitted brake system, with the pushrod force as the end control parameter, was employed, and an average decay function was used to suppress the simulation oscillations. The simulation results indicate that the velocity and spacing errors were slightly larger than those obtained when the wheel slip effect was not considered, that the spacing errors of the lead and follower were insensitive to the adhesion coefficient up to the critical wheel slip value, and that the limit for the antilock control under non-constant adhesion road conditions was determined by the minimum value of the equivalent adhesion coefficient.

Evaluation of consumer preferences for general food values in Korea: best-worst scaling approach

  • Consumers are becoming increasingly interested in what kind of value their food has. Many studies have focused on consumers' preferences and willingness to pay for specific food values. However, few studies have asked consumers to consider or rank the importance of different food values. This paper determined consumers' food values by implementing the best-worst scaling approach and segmented consumers based on the relative importance of general food values that consumers place on them. Among a list of eleven food values (taste, safety, origin, appearance, price, environmental impact, naturalness, convenience, nutrition, fairness, and habit) which was compiled from previous studies on food preferences, on average, safety, nutrition, taste, and price were the most important values to consumers, whereas fairness, habit, appearance, convenience, origin, and environmental impact were the least important values. However, significant variation exists among consumers in terms of the relative importance of food values. To investigate the heterogeneity among consumers, a Latent Class Analysis was performed to classify consumers into subgroups based on responses to questions. Two latent classes were found and characterized as 'safety-nutrition' and 'taste-price'. The 'safety-nutrition' cluster represents 61% of the sample and a group of people who find safety and nutrition centered values to be the most important. Another cluster represents about 39% of the sample, and relative to the first group, this group finds price and taste values to be more important.

지역화빈도분석에 의한 설계강우량 추정 - L-모맨트법을 중심으로 - (Estimation of Design Rainfall by the Regional Frequency Analysis - On the method of L-moments -)

  • This study was conducted to derive the regional design rainfall by the regional frequency analysis based on the regionalization of the precipitation. Using the L-moment ratios and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, the underlying regional probability distribution was identified to be the Generalized extreme value distribution among apt]lied distributions. regional and at-site parameters of the Generalized extreme value distribution were estimated by the method of L-moment. The regional and at-site analysis for the design rainfall were tested by Monte Carlo simulation. Relative root-mean-square error(RRMSE), relative bias(RBIAS) and relative reduction(RR) in RRMSE were computed and compared with those resulting from at-site Monte Carlo simulation. All show that the regional analysis procedure can substantially reduce the RRMSE, RBIAS and RR in RRMSE in the prediction of design rainfall. Consequently, optimal design rainfalls following the regions and consecutive durations were derived by the regional frequency analysis.

  • $(Ba_{0.6-x}Sr_{0.4}Ca_x)TiO_3$ + ywt% MgO (x=0.10, 0.15, 0.20, y=0.0~3.0) ceramics were fabricated by the conventional solid-state reaction, and their structural and dielectric properties were investigated with variation of composition ratio and MgO doping content. A second phase, representative of MgO, appears in 3wt% MgO-doped BSCT specimens. Average grain sizes decreased with increasing amounts of MgO, and the BSCT(40/40/20) specimens doped with 3wt% MgO showed a value of $9.3{\mu}m$. The Curie temperature and relative dielectric constant at room temperature were decreased with increasing MgO doping content and Ca composition ratio. The relative dielectric constant was non-linearly decreased as the field strength is increased. The tunability was increased with decreasing a Ca content and the BSCT(50/40/10) specimen doped with 1.0wt% MgO content showed the highest value of 6.4% at 5kV/cm.

2017년 한국 보건의료의 상대적 위치와 추이: 경제협력개발기구 국가와 비교 (Position Value for Relative Comparison of Healthcare Status of Korea in 2017)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the health status of South Korea with those of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries and examine the trends. Position vAlue for Relative Comparison (PARC) was used as a gauge for comparison, and five sectors of the health care system were measured: demand, supply, accessibility, quality, and cost. The Mann-Kendall test was used as a statistical analysis method to examine trend of PARC values obtained from 2000 to recent years. According to the results, the demand, supply, accessibility, and quality sectors were higher than the OECD average, while the cost was lower than the average. However, there is a recent trend of sharp increases in health care costs. Some indicators: health employment, quality of primary care and mental health care were lower than the OECD average, and health determinants showed a worsening trend. Therefore, policy-makers need to take this into account and make efforts for sustainable health care.

  • This study was conducted to derive the regional design rainfall by the regional frequency analysis based on the regionalization of the precipitation suggested by the first report of this project. Using the L-moment ratios and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, the underlying regional probability distribution was identified to be the Generalized extreme value distribution among applied distributions. Regional and at-site parameters of the generalized extreme value distribution were estimated by the linear combination of the probability weighted moments, L-moment. The regional and at-site analysis for the design rainfall were tested by Monte Carlo simulation. Relative root-mean-square error(RRMSE), relative bias(RBIAS) and relative reduction(RR) in RRMSE were computed and compared with those resulting from at-site Monte Carlo simulation. All show that the regional analysis procedure can substantially reduce the RRMSE, RBIAS and RR in RRMSE in the prediction of design rainfall. Consequently, optimal design rainfalls following the legions and consecutive durations were derived by the regional frequency analysis.

도서관 디스커버리의 평가요소에 대한 상대적 중요도 분석 (Analysis of Relative Importance on Evaluation Elements of Library Discovery)

  • 본 연구에서는 디스커버리가 제공하고 있는 다양한 기능들에 대해 평가요소를 선정하여 그 상대적 중요성을 분석하였다. 먼저, 선행연구를 통해 선정된 다양한 평가항목들에 대해 콘텐츠, 탐색기능, 우연한 발견, 상호작용성, 사용의 편리성 등 다섯 개 카테고리로 구분하고 이들을 다시 36개의 세부 평가항목으로 구성하였다. 각 평가요소들의 상대적 중요성을 객관적으로 평가하기 위해서 AHP 기법을 채택하였다. 평가결과 상위 항목에서는 사용의 편리성이 가장 중요하고 이어서 콘텐츠, 탐색기능, 상호작용성, 우연한 발견 순으로 나타났다. 또한 전체 36개의 하위 평가항목에 대한 중요도 분석결과 콘텐츠 통합데이터 품질이 가장 중요한 요소로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 추후 디스커버리를 도입하거나 선정하기 위한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • Crystal structure and microwave dielectric properties of $Ba(Mg_{1/3-x}Nb_{2/3})O_3$ (BMN) ceramics were investigated. $Ba(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$ has the 1:2 ordered hexagonal structure. The 1:2 ordering and relative density of specimens increased with small Mg deficiency(x). The variation of Q-value with Mg deficiency is very similar to that of 1:2 ordering and relative density. The highest $Q{\times}f_0$ achieved in this investigation is about 96,000 for $Ba(Mg_{1/3-0.02}Nb_{2/3})O_3$. The improvement of Q-value with Mg-deficiency is related to the increase of degree of ordering and relative density of the specimen.

Improving Efficiency of the Moment Estimator of the Extreme Value Index

  • In this paper we introduce a method of improving efficiency of the moment estimator of Dekkers, Einmahl and de Haan(1989) for the extreme value index $\beta$. a new estimator of $\beta$ is proposed by adding the third moment ot the original moment estimator which is composed of the first two moments of the log-transformed sample data. We establish asymptotic normality of the new estimator and examine and adaptive procedure for the new estimator. The resulting adaptive estimator proves to be asymptotically better than the moment estimator particularly for $\beta$<0.

  • This paper presents a method for establishing an initial value of redundancy optimization problem to maximize system reliability of multiconstraint mixed parallel-series system. The constraints not be linear. This paper proposes a new initial value which is near to optimal solution by considering the relative median rate of the unreliability and amount of consumed resources for each subsystem. To show the efficiency of this model. numerical example and comparison with Narasimhalu is illustrated in chapter 4.
