This experiment was canied out to investigated the effect of slope exposure on winter hardiness of grasses in mountainous pastures of Taekwalyong area The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1. Plant vigour(PV) before wintering influenced on the growth of next spring, field survival rates and winter hardiness of grasses. 2. The dry weight of plant per relative tiller appearance rates(DW/RTAR) was significantly negative correlated with plant vigour(PV) before wintering, but the weight of plant per relative tiller appearance rates(DW1 RTAR) were significantly positive correlated with the number of tiller per plant before wintering($NT_O$), number of tillers per plant of 1st cutting(NT), dry weight of plant(DW), field survival rates(SR) and relative tiller appearance rate(RTAR). 3. There ranking order of high winter hardiness of grasses, it were west(W), north-north west(NNW), eastsoutheast( ESE) and south-southwest(SSW) exposure, respectively.
This experiment was conducted with nine wheat geno-types to choose the wheat which has excellent early vigour. 'Vigour 18' and 'ZL 59A' are excellent in the long coleoptile genotype, while 'Amery' and 'Janz' are excellent in the short coleoptile genotype. Responding to the growth stage and nitrogen level, Vigour 18 is predominant in the long coleoptile genogype, while Janz in the short coleoptile genotype. Responding to sowing density and nitrogen level, the higher the sowing density was, the shorter the leaf area of Vigour 18 and Janz. Also the leaf area turned out to larger in the plot fertilized with high nitrogen than in the plot fertilized with low nitrogen. This is true of leaf weight and root weight. Concerning specific leaf area (SLA) and leaf area ratio (LAR), the higher the sowing density was, the SLA tended to grow larger, while the SLA grew larger in the plot fertilized with low nitrogen, as were found in Vigour 18 and Janz. The roots of long coleoptile genotype, Vigour 18, turned out to grow longest on the plot sown with 3 seeds. While the roots of short coleoptile genotype, Janz, grew longest on the plot sown with 2 seeds. The relative growth rate (RGR) was the same at low N rates and high N rates. The RGR was 0.071 and 0.072 g $g^{-1}d^{-1}$ at low N rates and high N rates. The partitioning of RGR into net assimilation rate (NAR) and LAR showed that the average LAR at low N rates was similar to the LAR at high N rates. Variation within each cultivar in the LAR and NAR was small relative to the difference between them at low N rates and high N rates. Above ground mass was 8.2 mg greater at high N rates than low N rates, whereas leaf area was 0.05 $\textrm{m}^2$$kg^{-l}$ greater at high N rates than low N rates. The NAR was similar at low N rates and high N rates, whereas LAR was greater at high N rates (0.05 $\textrm{m}^2$$kg^{-l}$); variation in SLA was responsible for the variation in NAR and LAR both at low N rates and high N rates. NAR was more closely associated with the reciprocal of SLA.
In this paper, we extend some results related to the growth rates of entire functions by introducing the relative logarithmic order g(f) of a nonconstant entire function f with respect to another nonconstant entire function g. Next we investigate some theorems related the behavior of g(f). We also define the relative logarithmic proximate order of f with respect to g and give some theorems on it.
We transferred Dhn5 (dehydrin5) gene from barley to poplar to determine the effect of its expression on the transgenic poplars. The results from northern blot analysis showed that the expression level of gene varied among the transgenic lines. During their culture on tissue culture media, the transgenic poplars formed vigorous growing callus in the presence of 5% PEG. When the transgenic poplars were growing in pots and witheld watering, they stayed much healthier than nontransgenic poplars. The transgenic poplars showed higher rates of photosynthetic rates, stomatal conductance and evaporation rates under the drought stress, although there was no significant difference in soil water content within the treatments. The relative electrical conductivity of the transgenic poplars after 20% PEG treatment was lower than that of nontransgenic poplars. The results provide evidence that the expression of hvDhn5 gene conferred drought tolerance in the transgenic poplars.
The main aim of this paper is to study some growth properties of p -adic entire functions on the basis of generalized relative order (𝛼, 𝛽) where 𝛼 and 𝛽 are continuous non-negative functions on (-∞, +∞).

This experiments was carried out to evaluate the potential winter hardiness of tall fescue varieties based on the data of dry weight of plant per relative tiller appearance rates(DW/RTAR) in mountainous pastures of Taekwalyon area. The results obtained were as follows; 1. The varieties were classified into 2 groups by dry weight of plant per relative tiller appearance rates (DW/RTAR). Thus. Forager and Fuego belong to the group with more than 2.0 in DW/RTAR but Barcel, Barvetia, Demeter, Enforcer. Johnstone, Safe and Stef belong to the group with less than 2.0 in DW/RTAR respectively. 2. The dry weight of plant per relative tiller appearance rates(DM/RTAR) and dry weight of plant(DW) of 1st cutting were significantly positive correlated with number of heading tillers and dry weight of heading tillers. 3. The dry weight of plant per relative tiller appearance rates(DW/RTAR) was significantly positive correlated with dry weight of plant(DW) of final cutting and of 1st cutting. 4. The varieties with high DW/RTAR showed a high dry weight of plant(DW) of 1st cutting. Accordingly, it was concluded that DW/RTAR is a valuable character for evaluating potential winter hardiness of tall fescue on mountainous pastures of Taekwalyon area.
In this paper we wish to prove some results relating to the growth rates of composite entire and meromorphic functions with their corresponding left and right factors on the basis of their generalized relative order (α, β) and generalized relative lower order (α, β), where α and β are continuous non-negative functions defined on (-∞, +∞).

The purpose of this study is to clarify the relation of survival rates of seedling plants under grown orchardgrass populations and control by the difference cutting frequency. The orchardgrass populations investigated in this study have passed for 10 years after establishment. Cutting frequencies were 3, 4 and 5 times in a year. This experiment was conducted from April to October, 1989 at the experimental field of Institute of Agricultural Development, Yonsei University. The results are summarized as follows: 1. The survival rates of seedling plants decreased by the days after sowing. The final survival rates of seedling plants were 7.8%, 38.9% and 33.8% in 3, 4 and 5 cuttings, respectively. 2. Relative light intensity indicated highly possitive correlation with relative survival rates of seedling plants and negative correlation with plant length of orchardgrass populations in 4 and 5 cuttings. 3. The frequency distribution of survival seedling plants at 177 days after sowing were showed high values in seeding spots near the adjacent plants of 3 cutings, but in the middle of seeding spots between adjacent plants of 4 .and 5 cuttings, respectively. 4. The plant length of seedling became longer towards the seeding spots near the adjacent plants but the number of tillers increased slightly up to the middle of seeding spots between adjacent plants in all cutting frequencies.

To examine the effects of light intensity on photosynthesis, corn and sorghum species were grown under shade cloths, which reduced light intensity by 25,50 and 75%. Photosynthetic rates were measured between 10 a.m. to noon on a clear day in early and mid - summer. 1. The degree of shading had a little effect on microenvironment. Air, soil and leaf temperatures were reduced as shade increased. 2. The degree of shading in early summer had relatively a little effect on photosynthesis of corn. However, the rates of photosynthesis in mid-summer decreased by 36%, 55% with relative light intensities of 50% and 25%, respectively. 3. The rate of photosynthesis was highly correlated with light intensity. The rates of photosynthesis with relative light intensities of 75,50 and 25% were decreased by 20, 40 and 5 4% in early summer, and by 17-53%, 36-64% and 5570% in mid-summer, respectively. 4. The 75% of light intensity had relatively little effect on dry matter yield of corn and sorghum species, however dry matter yield with 50 and 25% relative light intensities was decreased 17 and 36% in corn, 13-3 1 and 50-68% in sorghum species, respectively.
Objectives: People are living longer, but often with diseases or chronic conditions. As a consequence, interest in resolving insurance blind spots is growing. This study provides substandard risk-relevant statistics to help substandard risks who are likely to fall in insurance blind spots obtain insurance coverage, such as the reimbursement of medical costs, as well as to stimulate insurance product development. Methods: This study uses National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) cohort data to determine the relevant statistics. The incidence rates of severe diseases are derived and compared against standard risks to establish a set of relative risk factors. These incidence rates of standard and substandard risks are then compared. Results: Currently, an individual's cancer history is used in the underwriting process for simplified issue insurance. However, underwriting focusing on hospitalization and procedures related to serious illnesses could lower premiums for substandard risks. Moreover, the statistical results could be used to expand the coverage of health insurance products. Conclusions: This study's relative risk factors can be used to derive simplified issue premium rates for substandard risks. They can also be used to implement discount and loading schemes for medical reimbursement insurance and help insurance companies implement proactive risk management.
