  • The study tested a hybrid model with constructs drawn from the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) theory in order to examine the moderating effect of productivity and relative advantage (RA) on perceived usefulness (PU) vis-à-vis electronic information resources (EIR) adoption in private university libraries in Ogun and Osun States of Nigeria. The descriptive research design was adopted in the study. The population consisted of 61 (55.0%) librarians and 50 (45.0%) library officers (totaling 116—100%) in Babcock University, Bells University, Covenant University, Bowen University, Oduduwa University, and Redeemer's University. Purposive sampling procedure was adopted after which total enumeration was used since the total population is small. The questionnaire was used for data collection. Of the 116 copies of the questionnaire administered, 111 (95.7%) were found usable. The instrument was structured based on a 4-point Likert agreement scale of Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree, and Strongly Disagree. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics like tables of frequency counts and percentage. The findings revealed that productivity and relative advantage are significant moderators of perceived usefulness of EIR adoption in private university libraries in Ogun and Osun States, Nigeria.

Research design, data and methodology: This study is quantitative method involve 195 SMEs online business in Malaysia. The integrated framework highlights the conceptual insight in multidimensional technology context (i.e. relative advantage, compatibility, and complexity); organizational context (i.e. top management support, innovation capability, branding capability, market-sensing capability, and human and organization capability); and environmental context (i.e. government support and supplier pressure). Results: The findings revealed that complexity, branding capability, human and organization capability, government support, and supplier pressure have significant positive relationship with e-commerce advantage. Meanwhile, relative advantage, compatibility, innovation capability, and market-sensing capability have significant negative relationship with e-commerce advantage. However, top management support has found no significant relationship with e-commerce advantage. Conclusions: The extended theoretical framework dimension improves existing knowledge on e-commerce advantage as well as the prospect of SMEs digital channel.

  • This study gave attention to the people who has resistance of the social media that tens to be the use as innovations. Therefore, this study examined the determinant factors of psychological resistance of the social media such as Twitter focused on students as none-users of social media. Total of 268 none-users participated in this study. The results were as follows. First, relative advantage influenced negatively on innovation resistance. Second, perceived complexity influenced significantly not on innovation resistance. Third, perceived risk influenced positively on innovation resistance. Therefore, social media related to social relationship should improve relative advantage, the other way, decrease perceived risk such as defamation and personal attack.

  • Convergence between technology and financial services is ubiquitous and widespread. Virtual banks represent an important aspect of financial markets that can generate value added for consumers and enhance the quality of financial services. This study explores the effect of innovation characteristics (relative advantage, compatibility, and perceived risk), consumer characteristics (status quo bias), and social mechanisms (network externality: complementarity, numbers of peers) on consumers' adoption intention and resistance to virtual banks. This study adopted an innovation resistance model with two dependent variables: adoption intention and resistance to virtual banks. An online self-administered survey was conducted and 532 or non-users of virtual banks aged 20 to 69 years old were analyzed. Frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, and hierarchical multiple regression indicated that status quo bias, relative advantage, perceived risk, complementarity, and number of peers insignificantly influence the adoption intention regarding virtual banks. Furthermore, status quo bias, relative advantage, perceived risk, and number of peers insignificantly influence the resistance to virtual banks. Female respondents have a lower adoption intention and higher resistance to virtual banks than male respondents. The findings suggest that the innovation resistance model can be useful in understanding consumers'adoption and resistance behavior as well as reveal that innovation characteristics, consumer characteristics, and social mechanism are important antecedent variables of the innovation adoption decision.

  • This paper describes a relative localization algorithm using odometry data and consecutive local maps. The purpose of this paper is the odometry error correction using the area matching of two consecutive local maps. The local map is built up using a sensor module with dual laser beams and USB camera. The range data form the sensor module is measured using the structured lighting technique (active stereo method). The advantage in using the sensor module is to be able to get a local map at once within the camera view angle. With this advantage, we propose the AVS (Aligned View Sector) matching algorithm for. correction of the pose error (translational and rotational error). In order to evaluate the proposed algorithm, experiments are performed in real environment.

  • The purpose of this study is to consider the characteristics perceived by users who utilize MyData services in the financial sector. It aims to examine how these factors influence users' understanding for sustained usage and their resistance to innovation. The research seeks to explore the relationship between users' awareness of characteristics and its impact on both enhancing comprehension for continued usage and addressing users' resistance to innovation. Utilizing a specialized survey agency, we examined the relative effects of innovation resistance factors, such as relative advantage, perceived risks, complexity, clarity and perceived ease of use on MyData service users. Furthermore, this research focuses on employing empirical analysis to validate the relationships between these factors through the survey. The findings of this study suggest that MyData service should dedicate ongoing efforts to minimize user resistance to service utilization. Specifically, it was revealed that among the innovation resistance factors, perceived ease of use, relative advantage, perceived risk, and complexity exert influence in that order.

  • We study how an advantage given to an interim winner in sequential conflicts characterizes dynamic competition between players and influences their payoffs. As the intensity of competition during each period is negatively correlated, perfect security is not necessarily desirable for contending parties. We present results which are widely applicable to various types of dynamic competition, where competition in each period is linked to the interim winner's relative advantage. Policy implications are also discussed in a variety of areas, and several extensions are explored.
