The purpose of this study is to investigate the actual conditions of preschool English education, and teachers' and parents' recognition of preschool early English education in Cheonan-city. Recently the importance of English education as an essential means for communication in the whole world is emphasized in our society. That atmosphere makes the elementary schools offer English as a subject in their curriculums, and also many preschool education institutes begin to teach English in their education courses. However before we begin to teach English as a subject in the preschool education, we need to survey the actual conditions of preschools and recognition of teachers and parents. The first part of this study is to survey the theoretical foundations of early English education; 1) the definition of early English education. 2) the situation of early foreign language education in foreign countries. 3) the relationship between the language acquisition and the cognitive development. The second part is to analyze the results of the Questionnaire which was distributed among 86 teachers and 103 parents in Cheonan-city preschools. As a conclusion, some suggestions will be given for the development of early English education in the near future.

The growth of the fashionable hanbok market has led to a significant increase in the number of entrepreneurs or prospective entrepreneurs with small hanbok businesses. To develop the hanbok industry, the public sector is developing and providing education and support programs to enhance the competencies of individual hanbok brand entrepreneurs. This study conducted a survey of 213 subjects such as business operators, workers, and prospective workers in the changing hanbok industry. This study investigated their hanbok education experiences as well as future demands for education and public support programs. To explore differences based on individual characteristics, this study measured such characteristics using entrepreneurial orientation as well as the artistic and entrepreneurial competencies important in running a hanbok brand and analyzed the relationship demand for education and public support. Hanbok brand worker characteristics were classified into four groups based on individual characteristics: "traditionalist," "entrepreneur," "opportunist," and "businessman." Differences existed in terms of detailed education experience and demand as well as demand for public support, depending on the group. The results of this study contribute to development of hanbok curriculums that consider individual characteristics, the effective incubation of new and prospective hanbok brand entrepreneurs, as well as the research on founding small-scale fashion businesses.

Critical thinking ability based on a sound sense of logic is essential for analyzing a given engineering design problem and assessing it to arrive at the most plausible conclusion. Engineering design classes require students to organize their engineering design experiences through reports, and engineering design reports require detailed specifications of their tasks at each stage. Given the nature of these curriculums, design classes provide writing courses focusing on science and engineering within specialized fields, but there still lies many obstacles for communication education that embraces both general education and major subjects. This study proposes a specified step-by-step writing model for engineering design reports that encompasses critical thinking for the objective of systemizing design experiences from engineering design report writing. For the purpose of the study, the concepts and relationship between critical thinking and creative problem solving have been examined, followed by a proposal of application methods for critical thinking criteria and elements from a case example on engineering design. Furthermore, the study proposes a critical thinking-based assessment rubric for logical decision making at each stage of engineering design as well as a resulting model for engineering design report writing.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between nursing students' biomedical and artificial intelligence (AI) ethical awareness, ethical values, professional self-concept, and ethical decision-making confidence, and to then identify factors that can influence their ethical decision-making confidence. Methods: This study employed a descriptive research method and was conducted from June 8 to 12, 2023, with 204 students from three nursing colleges in Korea. The collected data were analyzed by frequency and percentage, independent t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using IBM SPSS 23.0. Results: The results of the multiple regression analysis showed that the regression model was significant (F=18.88, p<.001) and that professional self-concept (β=.46, p<.001), ethics education (β=.23, p<.001), AI ethical awareness (β=.16, p=.020), and relativistic ethical values (β=.14, p=.035) explained 34.6% of the nursing students' ethical decision-making confidence. Conclusion: It is necessary to include professional self-concept, AI ethical awareness, and ethical values contents when constructing the curriculums of educational programs in order to improve nursing students' ethical decision-making confidence.

In this study, Big Data was used to collect the information related to 'Cooking Academy' keywords. After collecting all the data, we calculated the frequency through the text mining and selected the main words for future data analysis. Data collection was conducted from Google Web and News during the period from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2017. The selected 64 words were analyzed by using UCINET 6.0 program, and the analysis results were visualized with NetDraw in order to present the relationship of main words. As a result, it was found that the most important goal for the students from cooking school is to work as a cook, likewise to have practical classes. In addition, we obtained the result that SNS marketing system that the social sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are actively utilized as a marketing strategy of the institute. Therefore, the results can be helpful in searching for the method of utilizing big data and can bring brand-new ideas for the follow-up studies. In practical terms, it will be remarkable material about the future marketing directions and various programs that are improved by the detailed curriculums through semantic network of cooking school by using big data.

Purpose : This study is a descriptive survey research that examines the effect of nursing students' satisfaction in major and consciousness of biomedical ethics on nursing professionalism. Methods : The research subjects consisted of junior and senior nursing students enrolled in four colleges located in City B, South Korea Structured questionnaires were distributed to the subject and a total of 262 copies of survey responses were analyzed. The collected data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation, t-test, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) using SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. The correlation relationship was investigated based on the Pearson correlation coefficient. Multiple regression was used to capture the effect on the nursing professionalism. Results : A positive correlation was observed between the nursing students satisfaction in major and consciousness of biomedical ethics (r=.280, p<.001), between satisfaction in major and nursing professionalism (r=.581, p<.001), and between consciousness of biomedical ethics and nursing professionalism (r=.290, p<.001). General satisfaction (β=.227, p=.001), and relationship satisfaction (β=.248, p=.000) among major satisfaction had the strongest prediction power for the nursing professionalism of nursing students, followed by right to life of fetus (β=.190, p=.000) among consciousness of biomedical ethics and motivation for admission (β=.137, p=.006). These predictors explained 36.9 % of the variable of nursing professionalism. Conclusion : Based on this study result, repeated studies are required that can confirm diverse influential factors on the nursing professionalism of nursing students. Operation of curriculums and development of programs that increase the nursing students' satisfaction in major and foster their nursing professionalism are required in the future.

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of the communication competence and empathy abilities of dental hygiene students on their interpersonal relationship abilities. The subjects in this study were 578 students who majored in dental hygiene at five randomly selected colleges. Out of the colleges, three were located in North Chungcheong province, and one was located in the city of Daejeon. The other one was located in South Gyeongsang province. Data were gathered using structured questionnaires from April 1 to May 7, 2013. The major findings of the study were as follows: 1. The respondents got a mean of $3.23{\pm}0.49$, $85.80{\pm}10.12$ and $83.27{\pm}8.37$ in interpersonal relationship abilities, communication competence and empathy abilities respectively. 2. As for communication competence, empathy abilities and interpersonal relationship abilities by general characteristics, there were statistically significant differences according to age, academic year, clinical practice experience and satisfaction with major. 3. The relationship of communication competence and empathy abilities to interpersonal relationship abilities was analyzed, and interpersonal relationship abilities were found to have a strong significant positive correlation to communication competence, empathy abilities and the subfactors of the two. 4. As a result of analyzing which variables affected interpersonal relationship abilities, it's found that interpersonal relationship abilities were under the influence of age, clinical practice experience, communication competence, empathy abilities. These variables made a 57.2% prediction of interpersonal relationship abilities. The above-mentioned findings suggest that communication competence and empathy abilities exerted an influence on interpersonal relationship abilities. Therefore curriculums and educational programs should be developed in consideration of these variables to ensure the stable college lives and successful relationship building of dental hygiene students who are on the way to adulthood and will serve as health care personnels in the future.

During the recent years at a middle level Engineering School located at the local areas in Korea, more than 20 percent of freshmen had failed at their first College Mathematics. In consequence, many of them had hard time to survive at their major curriculums. The purpose of this study is to look for the main reasons of their failure and suggest an alternation of the present curriculum. Using the responses to the questionnaires and placement test scores, we studied the characteristics of the students' Mathematical abilities and analyzed how they were related to their grades of the First College Mathematics at the end of the first semester. The mathematical ability of the students at the middle level Engineering School turned out to range from bottom to top even though most of them revealed their interests towards Mathematics. The students with low scores at the placement test were more likely to fail at their first College Mathematics. Thus we suggest that the school should open a new preparation course ahead of the First College Mathematics for those who achieve low scores at the placement test and also professors should write proper books and develop ways of teaching.

The purpose of this study was to examine the health segment of the 7th national physical education curriculum in an effort to grasp the state of oral health education in the school curriculum. And it's also meant to investigate the relationship between oral health education and the oral health awareness of some high schoolers to check into any possible problems with oral health education as part of health education. The subjects in this study were 240 students from two different girls' high schools in Seoul, on whom a survey was conducted to find out their oral health knowledge, behavior and awareness. And the health category of the current P.E. curriculum announced by the Ministry of Education was analyzed. The findings of the study were as follows: Oral health education provided by the high schools as part of health education in P.E. class wasn't linked to P.E. theories and practice. The weight of oral health education was extremely small in the health segment, and there was no sequence, continuity and integration among the content systems of oral health education for different grades. When some high schoolers were investigated, they weren't properly oral health conscious, though it was very important for students to receive oral health education to prevent and manage dental diseases. And they didn't consequently take care of their own oral health. Future research efforts should be channeled from diverse angles into developing oral health education curriculums to bolster school oral health education to improve national oral health.

Purpose: This study intends to investigate gender role identity and egalitarianism consciousness among adolescents and to determine the relationship between the two factors. Method: Data were collected from 376 middle and high school students in U City. Tools used were the Korean Sexual Role Identity (Kim, J. H., 2005) and the Gender Egalitarianism Consciousness among Adolescents (Kim, 2002). Data were analyzed using SPSS 12.0 for t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: There was no significant difference between boys and girls in sender role identity. Boys' gender role identity was different according to school grade (t=-3.19, p= .00), frequency of mother's hugging (t=-2.28, p= .02) and girls' according to religion (t=-2.24, p= .03) mother's job (F=3.59, p= .02), father's education level (F=3.20, p= .04), mother's education level (F=3.24, p= .04), family harmony (F=7.28, p= .00), and frequency of mother's hugging (t=-2.41. p= .02). There was significant difference in egalitarianism consciousness according to sender (t=-12.70. p= .00) Boys' egalitarianism consciousness was different according to school type (t= .02, p= .00) and father's education level (F=4.97, p= .02), and girls' according to school grade (t=-4.21 p= .00), school type (t=-3.12, p= .00), father's level of education (F=3.78. p= .02), decision maker of important domestic matter (F=4.95, p= .00) and frequency of mother's hugging (t=2.53, p= .01). In Girls, sexual role identity and sender egalitarianism consciousness were significantly correlated with each other (r= .01, p= .04). Conclusion: Through the study, it was found that boys' concern for sexual equality of was remarkably lower than girls. Therefore, it is necessary to offer curriculums for boys and to start social education for parents.
