This study empirically investigated the relationship benefits perceived by consumers from a live commerce channel and verified effects on trust in seller/product relationship and purchase intention to establish a strategy for a live commerce channel. An online survey was conducted among 204 women residing in Korea who had watched a video on fashion products shown by the NAVER Shopping channel. The perceived relational benefits from the live commerce channel were extracted into four groups: psychological, social, economic, and customerization benefits. Psychological benefits were found to have a positive effect on trust in seller but not trust in product. Social benefits and customization benefits had a positive effect on both trust in seller and product, but economic benefits had no effect. Trust in seller and in product had positive effects on purchase intention. Understanding consumer response in relation to perceived relationship benefits in live commerce can contribute strengthen consumer behavior research on live commerce channels. These results can guide fashion companies as they develop live commerce marketing strategies.
This research investigates the influence of relational characteristics on 'co-defection', customer defection following salesperson turnover, in the context of salesperson-customer relationship. Based on the social exchange theory, it was hypothesized that perceived relational benefits and switching costs affect directly the customer's intentions to defect. Key constructs in relationship marketing such as customer satisfaction, trust, and loyalty were hypothesized to affect the customer's intention to defect as well as perceived relational benefits and switching costs. The results of structural equation modeling using a survey sample of 503 insurance customers who purchased life insurance policies through salespersons unveiled that the customer satisfaction with salesperson and the customer trust in salesperson strongly influence the salesperson-owned customer loyalty. However, they did not have significant direct effects on co-defection intentions. All paths from salesperson-owned customer loyalty to perceived relational benefits and perceived switching costs were also significant. Salesperson-owned customer loyalty did not have significant direct effects on co-defection intentions, but it had significant indirect effects on co-defection intentions through relational benefits and switching costs. Three sub-dimensions of perceived relational benefits had significant positive effects on co-defection intentions while the perceived switching costs had significant negative effects on co-defection intentions. The significance of our research findings were verified by comparing the hypothesized model and the rival model in the past studies.

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of relational benefits on perceived value in order to enhance customer satisfaction and win customer loyalty in the specialty coffee shop business. Structural equation modeling was performed and the structural model estimated with AMOS (ver 5.0). A total of 329 valid responses were used for data analysis. The findings show that confidence benefits among the relational benefits have a direct effect on perceived value. In addition, confidence benefits also have an indirect effect on customer satisfaction and loyalty from this perceived value. However, social benefits and special treatment benefits of customers had no effect on functional and symbolic value. In conclusion, establishing confidence benefits with the customer at the specialty coffee shop significantly influenced their perceptions of value, customer satisfaction, and loyalty.

For a hypothesis test, lastly, path analysis was conducted using structural equation modeling. The study results found the following: First, among the relational benefits perceived by the customers of solely operated beauty salons, confidence benefits and social benefits had a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Second, the relational benefits perceived by the customers of solely operated beauty salons had a positive effect on recommendation intention.
