본 논문에서는 관계형 데이터베이스를 위한 시각 질의어 VRQL 을 소개하고 이를 구현한 프로토타입 시스템 VRQPS(Visual Relational Query Processor System)를 소개한다. VRQL(Visual Relational Qurey Language)은 기존의 객체지향 데이터베이스를 위한 시각질의어 VOQL 을 수정, 보완하여 설계된 시각질의어로 벤 다이어그램과 그래프를 기반으로 하여 직관적이며 관계적으로 완전하다는 특성이 있다. 한편 투플 관계 해석 기반의 형식 시맨틱을 가지고 있어 이론적 기반이 확실한 시각질의어이다. VRQPS 는 VRQL로 정의된 질의문을 SQL로 변환하고 이를 실행하여 그 결과를 화면에 보여 주어 사용에 편리하고 직관적이다.

In this study , the system was developed for design procecure of agriultural engineering. For development of the system, design reports of Rural Development Corporation were analyzed, the components using in system were searched, and the user interface was developed. It was found that the development of this system would be used for design procedure using design information based on RDBMS.

본 연구의 목적은 ISO와 ANSI/NISO의 시소러스 작성지침을 참고하여 문헌정보학분야 시소러스를 하이퍼텍스트를 이용하여 선형배열로 웹 상에 설계해 보는데 있다. 본 연구는 하이퍼텍스트를 이용한 온라인 시소러스가 정보를 저장하고 탐색하는 사람들에게 편리하고 유용한 주제접근의 도구가 되며, 인쇄형 시소러스로는 파악하기 어려운 이용자의 시소러스 탐색유형을 연구하는 기초가 될 수 있을 것이라는 가정에서 출발하였다. 본 연구를 위해서 문헌정보학 분야 시소러스를 관계형 데이터베이스인 MS ACCESS 97에 저장하였고 관계형 데이터베이스와 웹과의 연동을 위해서 Windows NT운영체재 하에서 ASP(Active Server Pages)기술을 적용하였다.

This paper describes an image design process for product development based on human sensibility ergonomics.. The human sensibility about product image can be measured through some statistical methods and translated into product design factors by some mathematical inference logics. This results also can be presented by 3D computer graphic tools, In order to integrate the above processess, a image design process on human sensibility database. Human sensibility database is constructed with the relational ddta of some adjective words and design factors, The next step is to extract the design information from the human sensibility dataabase by fuzzy inference algouithm. This information is used for the input data for the graphic presentation. The final product can be modified according to the customer's requirement.

In this study, by using the natural language processing of the field artificial intelligence, automated index was performed . And then, the Natural Language Processor for Constructing Database (NALPDB) has been developed. Furthermore, the Design knowldege Information Relational DataBase (DIREDB) has been also developed, which is designed to interlock the knowledge base. DIREDB processes both the documented design-data , like a concrete standard specification, and the design knowledge frrom an expert. DIREDB is also simulates the design space of structures accordance with the production rule, and thus it is determined that DIREDB can be used as a engine to retrieve new knowledge and to implement knowldege base that is necessary to the development of automatic design system.

RPC는 분산 시스템에서 가장 많이 활용되고 있는 통신 메커니즘 중의 하나이다. 본 연구는 현재 많이 활용되고 있는 RPC 프로토콜 중, XML-RPC를 이용하여 분산 환경하에서 데이터베이스를 활용하기 위한 단일화된 인터페이스 설계에 목적을 둔다. 기존의 RDB를 이용한 프로그램에 있어서 데이터베이스의 접근은 프로그래밍 언어, 플랫폼, 사용 데이터베이스의 종류 등에 따라서 특정한 API를 사용해야만 하는 프로그래밍 형태를 취했으나, XML-RPC 프로토콜을 이용하여 구현한 미들웨어를 둠으로써 데이터베이스 접근 인터페이스를 단일화하여 특정 언어와 환경에서 여러 상이한 데이터베이스에 대한 접근 및 조작을 용이하고 편리하게 하였다.

Currently, EMS(Energy Management System) database is implemented by relational concept but, It is hard to describe the characteristic of power system data which require real time management and composite type. This paper present the way how to design conceptual schema for EMS database using object-oriented concept which is free to describe composite data type and support inheritance concept.

The computer related techniques have been developed rapidly in the field of metal removal industry. The electronic catalog for mechanical elements is one of such developments realized in recent years. As the emergence of the electronic catalogs in the 90s, it breaks the restriction of the traditional catalog and becomes a helpful and efficient tool in the field. In this paper, we develop an electronic catalog for the cutting tools of the Korea Tungsten Co. Ltd. The catalog consists of three parts: a preprocessor for tool selection, a database for tool, and a postprocessor for search result. A preprocessor for tool selection is developed under a user-friendly consideration. A database for tool consists of milling, drilling, and reaming tools with a list of cutters, inserts, and components. A postprocessor for search result consists of weight, dimension. drawing, product order number etc. of the tools. It also suggests the optimized cutting condition of the selected tool using a neural network technique which is done by an independent research group.

XML이 웹 문서의 표준이며, 문서교환용 언어로서 사용되고있다. 상업용 데이터는 대부분 관계형 데이터베이스에 저장되어 있고 이들 문서를 교환용 문서로 만들어서 문서교환에 이용하거나 관계형 데이터베이스에 저장된 XML데이터에 XQL로 질의하여 질의결과를 효율적으로 획득하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 따라서, 향후 많은 XML데이터의 보관 및 관리 그리고 XML데이터를 위한 질의어 처리는 필수적이다. 지금까지, XML데이터의 저장 및 검색과 관련한 연구 및 제품개발이 여러 업체에 의해 있어왔고, 지금도 연구 및 개발이 진행되고 있다. 하지만, 효율적인 XML데이터의 저장 및 검색을 위한 시스템은 아직까지 많지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 효율적인 경로 질의를 위한 DFS-Numbering 방식을 사용하며, 효율적인 데이터 저장을 위해서 XML 데이터 저장을 위한 스키마를 설계하였다. 또한, 전통적인 관계형 데이터베이스 엔진을 이용한 효율적인 XQL 질의수행 방법을 설계 및 구현하였다. 즉, 사용자가 시스템에 XQL로 질의를 하면 XQL 처리기에 의해서 XQL이 SQL로 변환되고, SQL로 관계형 데이터베이스에 질의를 수행하면, 결과로 레코드를 반환한다. 이때 XML 생성기에 의해서 사용자에게 n문서를 반환한다.

본 연구는 지적 정보와 지형정보를 기초로 한 도시지리정보시스템에 있어서 종합적인 도시토지정보관리를 위한 객체지향형 데이터베이스를 설계해 보고자 하였다. 객체지향 모델링 기법(Object-oriented Modeling Technique:OMT)은 기존의 관계형 데이터모델에 비하여 다수의 개체와 다양한 형태의 자료형이 존재하는 복잡한 도시지리정보를 보다 쉽고 자연스럽게 모델링할 수 있다. 이를 위하여 먼저 도시지리정보의 내용 중에서 토지관련 정보를 중심으로 한 정보 수요를 파악하고, 그 다음으로 이들 요구사항을 기반으로 하여 데이터베이스 설계를 수행하였다. 전통적인 관계형 모델보다는 훨씬 탁월하고 재생능력이 풍부하였다. 도시정부의 토지 관련 각 부처에서 다루고 있는 정보내용을 실질적으로 분석하고, 이를 객체지향형 모델링으로 통합하여 시스템 내에서 구축하게 되면 행정의 능률과 경제성을 동시에 확보할 수 있는 것이다.
