Under the attack of storm waves, there are many destructions of coastal structures in the forms of sinking and sliding. There types of destructions will be in close relation to the dynamic behavior of sand bed around the structures. Form this point of view, in this pear, we investigate the characteristics of the pore water pressure and effective stresses in the highly saturated sand bed under oscillating water pressure theoretically. The results indicate that the oscillating water pressure induce the notable drop of strength of and bed around the structure under certain condition.

Variations in the definition of poultry meat quality exist because the quality traits are not solely based on intrinsic and extrinsic factors but also consumers' preference. Appearance quality traits (AQT), eating quality traits (EQT), and reliance quality traits (RQT) are the major factors focused by the consumer before buying good quality of poultry meat. AQT and EQT of poultry meat are controlled by physical and biochemical characteristics of muscle fibers which can be categorized into a total number of fibers (TNF), cross-sectional area of fibers (CSAF), and fiber type composition (FTC). In poultry meat, it has been shown that muscle fiber properties play a key role in meat quality because numerous studies have reported the relationships between quality traits and fiber characteristics. Despite intensive research has been carried out to manipulate the muscle fiber to improve poultry meat quality, demand in a rapid growth of poultry muscle has correlated to the deterioration in the meat quality. The present paper reviews the definition of poultry meat quality, meat quality traits, and variations of meat quality. Also, this review presents recent knowledge underlying the relationship between poultry meat quality traits and muscle fiber characteristics.

This study aims at providing the data in order to understand home management and to mange home efficiently through attempting systems approach to home management focused on purchase decision making and marital role structure. For the purpose of this study, regarding housing purchase decision making process as a system, environmental characteristics as inputs, marital role structure and the satisfaction of purchase management as outputs, relation between inputs and outputs; the understanding about these components was established as research problem. And then the framework of analysis being based on theoretical references was suggested, and questionnaires were administrated to housewives. The result of this study is as follows: 1) Marital role structure was differently shown according to the phases of decision making process. 2) Marital role structure was differently shown according to the level of environmental characteristics. 3) The statisfaction of purchase manag ment was influenced by environmental characteristics. According to these results, home management can be understood in the view of system. That is, the morphostatic characteristics of family system can be grasped in environmental supra system in conideration of the structure of managerial sub system; the morphogenic characteristics of family system can be grasped centering on the relationship to environment.

In this paper, we have investigated characteristics of current-voltage for double gate MOSFET with main gate and side gate. Investigated current-voltage characteristics of channel length changed len호 of channel from 1${\mu}$m to 3${\mu}$m. Also, compare and analyzed characteristics of changed of operation temperature changing current that is dignity. gate voltage could know 2V that is superior than device characteristics of current voltage characteristic in 77K acts in room temperature when approved.

The analytic principles of GC and MS were explained in relation to plant hormone analyses and the characteristics of two instruments were compared. The selection of column, condition of measurement and the method of ionization to get a good spectrum were also briefly described. Finally, the pre-treatment of sample by solvent extraction method to remove the unnecessary part of sample and the synthetic method, especially reagents and reaction condition, for the preparation of ether or ester derivative which can be easily vaporized in GC were explained.

This paper describes the procedure of recognizing the On-line Korean characters which are written on a graphic tablet. The effective recognition of primitives is performed by the use of stroke unit proceeding instead of coordinate unit under the base of definition of characteristic points which are fit to Korean character through the application of the characteristics of korean characters & input data on graphic tablet.

This research investigated the difficulties in parenting influenced by the mother's characteristics and child's temperament. This study used first-year data from the Panel Study of Korean Children(PSKC), which was carried out under the R&D Center's child care policy. The following methods were used for analysis; descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and multiple regression using SPSS 13.0 program. First, the result is that the difficulties in parenting in terms of mother's sociology of population is more difficult when mother is early 30, low educational attainment and has no income and religion. Second, the result shows that relation between mother's characteristics or child's temperament and difficulties for parenting is affected by both depression, conflict of mother's characteristics and emotions of child's temperament. Third, the most important thing that affects to difficulties in parenting is in order of mother's depression, self-esteem, the method of bringing up, emotions of child's temperament and parent's trouble.

The uniform hazard spectrum of Wolsong Nuclear Power plant Site is computed in order to estimate probabilistically the characteristics of spectral ground response. The spectral hazard values calculated from the seismic zoning maps proposed by eight seismologist are combined with equal weight to produce a uniform hazard spectrum. The uniform hazardd spectra corresponding to reference probabilities of 1.0 $\times$10-4/year and 1.0$\times$10-5/year are presented, which largely depend on the spectral attenuation relation. The computational results of this study contribute to verify the conservatism of the design ground spectrum of Wolsong Nuclear Power Plant.

Many hydraulic structures are damaged by under flood flow and storm waves year after year. Many cases of dike and breakwater failure are caused by the suck out of sand from behind the revetment. This type of failure will be in close relation to the dynamic behavior of sand bed around the revetment. In this paper, from this point of view we investigated the basic characteristics of such sand movement by small model tests and tried to explanation the hydro- and soil mechanical mechanism of this phenomenon theoretically.
