회전자 고정자권선의 절연보수후 절연특성변화 연구 (Change of the Insulation Characteristic for the Rotating machine stator winding after insulation reinforcement)

  • Our company(KOWACO) has periodically performed off-line diagnostic test for 14 hydro generators (rated 11 kV over) for 15 years. In this paper, we summarized results of dissipation factor tip-up test and partial discharge test about these generators. Among these, we chose two generators and performed insulation reinforcement (cleaning and varnish painting). We compared change of insulation condition for the stator winding based upon off-line diagnostic test result before and after repair. Test result shows that insulation condition was improved after insulation reinforcement. This insulation reinforcement has a function to reduce cause of deterioration, so we can know that it extends lifetime of generator and it is a very important factor for stable operation of facilities.

  • The research is for building safety by using fiber reinforced concrete against impact load. The aim of this study is to evaluation of Impact Resistance of mortar by Reinforcement Condition of Aramid Fiber(fiber length, fiber surface treatment, fiber contents, hyrid reinforcement with steel fiber). Thus, the results indicate that it can improve mix condition and impact resistance by fiber surface treatment.

가접부를 고려한 필릿 용접조건의 선정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Selection of Fillet Weld Conditions by Considering the Tack Welds)

  • In this study, an experimental method for the selection of optimal welding condition was proposed in the fillet weld which was done over the tack weld. This method used the response surface analysis in which the leg length and the reinforcement height were chosen as the quality variables of the weld bead profile. The overall desirability function, which was combined desirability function fur the two quality variables, was employed as the objective function for getting the optimal welding condition. In the experiments, the target values of the leg length and the reinforcement height are 6m and zero respectively for the horizontal fillet weld of 10mm thickness mild steel. The optimal welding conditions could predict the weld bead profile(leg length and reinforcement height) as 6.00mm and 0.19mm without tack weld and 6.00mm and 0.48mm with tack weld. from a series of welding test, it was revealed that a uniform weld bead can be obtained by adopting the optimal welding condition which was determined according to the method proposed.

  • The crack width of concrete structures subjected to shrinkage depend on a great number of parameters whose effects are restrain condition, the number and spacing of crack and the amounts of reinforcements. Through suitable reinforcement it is possible to make the individual cracks exceedigly small. This paper is to present the amount of reasonable reinforcement for crack control through a rational analysis of forces occuring in significantly restrained concrete structures due to the shrinkage. Also the analysis results from this paper are compared with the provisions for shrinkage and temperture reinforcement in the KCI concrete strucural design code.

  • Reinforcement corrosion is the principal cause of deterioration of reinforced concrete. It is to be expected that loss of bond between concrete and tension reinforcement would lead to a reduction in shear strength of RC beams designed to fail in shear. This paper presents results of a FE analysis study to evaluate the shear strength of RC beams with exposed reinforcement represented the limiting condition of bond loss.

  • Recently, research of reinforcement mechanism in a sense of soil mechanics has been under way by many researchers with developing various kinds of geoteutiles. But it must be consider that reinforcement effect largely depends on used geotextile even if it is used on same in-site condition. As a matter of fact it is not necessarily that reinforcement effect appears in all the case of reinforced soil construction. It means that appropriate geotextile coincided with the intention has to be selected and adequate examination is needed. In this study, reinforcement effect with various kinds of geotextiles are compared through a series of direct shear tests. Based on the test results, shear strength characteristics and reinforced effects are investigated quantitatively and qualitatively considering the confining stress, reinforcement characteristics and number of reinforcement.

토목섬유 보강이 고함수비 점성토의 다짐에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Geosynthetic Reinforcement on Compaction of High Water Content Clay)

  • 본 연구는 포화된 연약 점성토에 대한 보강효과를 분석하기 위하여 롤러 다짐장비를 사용하여 수행하였다. 시료는 12시간 수침으로 포화 상태를 만들었으며, 철재 롤러로 평면변형을 상태에서 5cm 층 두께로 4층의 다짐을 실시하였다. 보강효과를 분석하기 위하여 무보강 조건 및 부직포와 직포로 구성된 복합보강재를 사용한 보강조건으로 다짐 공시체를 제작하였다. 복합보강재의 배수효과와 인장 보강효과로 고함수비 점성토의 지지력을 증가시켜, 보강토에 대하여 큰 다짐하중을 가할 수 있게 되어 보다 큰 밀도를 효과적으로 얻을 수 있다. 또한 다짐 작업시 보강재에 의해 연직재하 하중에 대한 전단저항 반력의 감소에 의해 다짐효율을 증가시킨다. 공시체 저면에서의 최대 연직응력은 다짐두께가증가 할수록 감소하게 된다. 한편 보강재는 롤러의 연직하부의 지반강성을 증가시켜 응력집중현상이 발생한다. 이로인하여 공시체 저면에서 보다 높은 연직응력 수준을 유지하며 보다 효과적인 다짐 특성을 제공하게 된다. 시험결과로부터 연약점성토의 효과적인 다짐을 위해서는 보강재가 필수적으로 요구된다고 할 수 있다.

터널 갱구부 보강방법에 따른 터널 변형 및 지보재 응력특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the characteristics of tunnel deformation and support system according to tunnel portal reinforcement method)

  • 본 연구는 터널 갱구부의 복잡하고 다양한 지형조건과 공학적인 강도특성이 불량한 토사 및 풍화암이 깊은 심도로 분포하는 조건에 대하여 터널 굴착 중 안정성확보를 위하여 보강되는 보조공법의 보강방법에 관한 논문이다. 기존 터널 갱구부 보조공법(강관보강 그라우팅, Ø60.5 mm, Ø114.3 mm)은 장심도 수평시공이 곤란하여 중첩보강 조건으로 시공되고 있다. 근래, 고강성의 대구경 강관 및 수평방향 장심도(L = 30.0~50.0 m) 시공기술이 개발됨에 따라, 터널 갱구부의 지층 및 지반조건에서 보조공법의 보강방법에 대한 공학적인 검토를 수행하여 효과적인 보강방법의 평가가 필요한 상황이다. 따라서 터널 보조공법 무보강 조건, 기존 중첩보강 조건 및 수평보강 조건과 터널 갱구부의 지반조건을 매개변수로 하여 3차원 연속체 수치해석(Midas GTS NX 3D)을 수행하여 보강효과를 검토한 결과, 보조공법 수평보강조건이 변위(천단침하 및 내공변위) 및 지보재 응력이 가장 작게 발생됨에 따라, 보강효과가 가장 큰 것으로 검토되었다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로, 터널 갱구부 현장에 장심도 대구경 강관 수평보강 그라우팅을 설계 및 시공한 결과, 터널 갱구부 변위 및 지보재 응력은 허용값 이내에서 발생되어 충분한 안정성이 확보되는 것으로 검토되었다. 또한, 터널 갱구부의 지반굴착을 최소화함에 따라, 친환경적인 터널 갱구부 형성이 가능한 것으로 파악되었다.

Examination on Required Cover Depth to Prevent Reinforcement Corrosion Risk in Concrete

  • In first experiment series, this paper is devoted for examining progress of reinforcement corrosion due to carbonation in concrete and to quantify uncarbonation depth to protect reinforcement from corroding. The tolerance of cover depth should be considered in order to prevent carbonation-induced corrosion. From the relationship between the weight loss of reinforcement and corrosion current density for a given time, therefore, the tolerance of cover depth to prevent carbonation-induced corrosion is computed. It is observed that corrosion occurs when the distance between carbonation front and reinforcement surface (uncarbonated depth) is smaller than 5 mm.As a secondary purpose of this study, it is investigated to examine the interaction between carbonation and chloride penetration and their effects on concrete. This was examined experimentally under various boundary conditions. For concrete under the double condition, the risk of deterioration due to carbonation was not severe. However, it was found that the carbonation of concrete could significantly accelerate chloride penetration. As a result, chloride penetration in combination with carbonation is a serious cause of deterioration of concrete.

  • From the development of residential flat plate system, continuously bended shear reinforcements were applied in the joint performance test. The testing parameters are shear reinforcement types, which are no reinforcement, studrail reinforcement, and rebar type reinforcement. To verify the lateral resisting capacity, cyclic load is applied in the constant vertical load condition. From the test results, the resisting capacity of developed shear reinforcement system has a good performance behavior in the story drift ratio.
