Purpose: Hypertension tends to increase after the age of 65. Proper hypertension management requires physical activities such as habitual activities and exercise. However. it is reported that many elders do not have regular physical activities. This study was to identify physical activity patterns and blood pressure according to physical activity in the elderly with hypertension. Methods: This study assessed physical activity frequency, amount, type during the latest one week, and blood pressure and BMI. The subjects were 53 elders aged over 65 years. Collected data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, $x^2-test$, and logistic regression analysis using SPSS 12.0. Results: It was found that most of the subjects had not been participating in regular physical activities. The most frequent physical activity patterns were walking and home activity at a low or moderate intensity. The elderly who met the normal hypertension and pre-hypertension criteria involved significantly more regular physical activities. Conclusion: This study suggested that regular participation in physical activities should be recommended for elders in order to optimize the state of their blood pressure.
Hollow filament yarns provide better warmth to the touch, lighter in weight, increased opacity, and subtle luster compared to the regular synthetic filament yarns. However, luster properties of textile fibers or fabrics are often difficult to characterize, partly due to the fineness of the surface texture, the anisotropic nature of the weave structure, the complexity of the fiber array comprising a yarn, and the fiber structure itself. In this study, the fabric surface luster image was analyzed using image analysis methods after image acquisition. The hollow filament fiber was modeled using a three-dimensional modeling software. It was then ray-traced for comparing the virtual luster images of the hollow fiber and the regular fiber models based on shading models including photon mapping. The luster object size of the actual hollow filament fabric was smaller than that of the regular filament fabric. The shape of the luster object of the hollow filament fabric was dual peak type while that of the regular filament was single.
The hydrodynamic performance of a floating-type OWC (Oscillating Water Column) chamber is studied numerically and experimentally in this study. The numerical approach based on two-dimensional linear theory of floating wave absorber was attempted to design an efficient wave energy absorber, while model test was performed in a wave basin to test a performance of designed model and validate the reliability of developed numerical code. The focus of study is placed mainly on the experimental study to evaluate the principal characteristics of the designed OWC chamber in regular waves. The effects of the variation of wave height on OWC device and of air pressure inside chamber are also presented. Finally, the measured results were compared with computed ones, and it was shown that the designed chamber works with high efficiency $(\eta_H>1$ over most of wave lengths covered by present study. It is therefore concluded that the developed code is capable of being successfully employed to design OWC chambers at various ocean environments, even though there exist some minor discrepancies between measured and computed results.

In using both hands, everyone dominantly use one hand and it is called left-handedness or right-handedness person. Measurements of grip and pinch strength provide objective indexes to represent functional integrity of the upper extremity. This study was conducted for thirty female college students(19 right-handedness and 11 lefthandedness). For assessment of the type of handedness, questionnaire was used; for grip strength, Jamar dynamometer was used; for pinch strength, Jamar pinch gauge was used. In right handedness, the grip and pinch strength of the dominant right hand was significantly higher than those of the non-dominant hand. In addition, regular exercises were shown to give influences on reduction of strength gaps between dominant and non-dominant hands. In both groups of left and right handedness, the grip and pinch strength of the dominant hand were significantly higher than those of the non-dominant hand, and regular exercises were shown to give influences on reduction of strength gaps between dominant and non-dominant hand.

A spar-type floating substructure that is being widely used for offshore wind power generation is vulnerable to resonance in the heave direction because of its small water plane area. For this reason, the stable dynamic response of this floating structure should be ensured by accurately identifying the resonance characteristics. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of the combination resonance between the excitation frequency of a regular wave and natural frequencies of the floating substructure. First, the nonlinear equations of motion with two degrees of freedom are derived by assuming that the floating substructure is a rigid body, where the heaving motion and pitching motions are coupled. Moreover, to identify the characteristics of the combination resonance, the nonlinear term in the nonlinear equations is approximated up to the second order using the Taylor series expansion. Furthermore, the validity of the approximate model is confirmed through a comparison with the results of a numerical analysis which is made by applying the commercial software ANSYS AQWA to the full model. The result indicates that the combination resonance occurs at the frequencies of ${\omega}{\pm}{\omega}_5$ and $2{\omega}_{n5}$ between the excitation frequency (${\omega}$) of a regular wave and the natural frequency of the pitching motion (${\omega}_{n5}$) of the floating substructure.

Recently, the polymer insulators which are being used for high voltage applications have some advantages such as light weight, small size, vandalism resistance, hydrophobicity and easy making process. During outdoor service of polymer insulators, the surface of the insulating material is frequently subjected to moisture and contamination which lead to the well known phenomenon of dry band arcing. Their tracking resistance, erosion resistance, end sealing and shed design are very important because dry band arcing causes degradation of polymer surface. The shape design of porcelain insulator is formalized but design standard for polymer insulator is no standardized up to now, much research is necessary in real condition. In this paper, the aging property of polymer insulator with shed shape(regular, alternative type) is analyzed through numerical analysis, CEA(canadian electricity association) tracking wheel test and IEC 61109 Annex C.
The current study identified risk factors associated with porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) infection on pig farms in the Republic of Korea using a multinomial logistic regression model to evaluate the PCV2 infection status of pigs at different growth stages. Compulsory disinfection of visitors (odds ratio [OR]: 0.019, 95% confidence interval [CI]: <0.001-0.378, p=0.0095), compulsory registration of visitors (OR: 0.002, 95% CI: <0.001-0.184, p=0.0070), regular blood testing (OR: 0.012, 95% CI: <0.001-0.157, p=0.0007), and running on-farm biosecurity learning programs for workers (OR: 0.156, 95% CI: 0.040-0.604, p=0.0072 and OR: 0.201, 95% CI: 0.055-0.737, p=0.0155, respectively) were identified as factors which could reduce the risk of PCV2 infection. However, visitation by a regular veterinarian (OR: 32.733, 95% CI: 3.768-284.327, p=0.0016) was associated with PCV2 infection.
Renewable energy such as wave energy has gained popularity as a means of reducing greenhouse gases. However, the high cost and lack of available sea space in some countries have hindered the deployment of wave energy converters (WEC) as alternative means of sustainable energy production. By combining WECs with infrastructures such as floating breakwaters or piers, the idea of electricity generated from WECs will be more appealing. This paper considers the integration of vertical raft-type WEC (commonly known as the vertical flap WEC) with floating breakwater as means to generate electricity and attenuate wave force in the tropical sea. An array of 25 WECs attached to a floating breakwater is considered where their performance and effect on the wave climate are presented. The effects of varying dimensions of the WEC and mooring system of the floating breakwater have on the energy generation are investigated. The integrated WECs and floating breakwater is subjected to both the regular and irregular waves in the tropical sea to assess the performance of the system. The result shows that the integrated vertical flap-floating breakwater system can generate a substantial amount of wave energy and at the same time attenuate the wave force effectively for the tropical sea when optimal dimensions of the WECs are used.

To investigate the characteristics of orifice as an expansion devices, the experimental apparatus was made and experiments are being peformed using R22 and R290. The main idea of this control method of refrigerant flow rate with coupled orifices is to control the ON/OFF state of T and Ball type orifice corresponding to the subdivided region of thermal load. When system requires minimum thermal load, both T and Ball type orifices are closed, but refrigerant can flow through small hole of T type orifice. In regular thermal load, when ball type orifice is closed, T type orifice is opened and mass flow rate increase more than OFF state of T type orifice, due to large diameter. In maximum thermal load, both T and Ball type orifices are open and the much refrigerant can flow. The flow characteristics on T type orifice and parallel-combined orifice are obtained in the subdivided region of thermal load.

Background & objectives: Life style modification reduces the health risks of young people and improves their health status. Physical activity is known the effective factor to reduce health risks and health problems. This study performed to analyze health promotion behaviors related to physical activity among first-year students of university. Methods: To examine the association with physical activity and health promotion practices, health survey was conducted with 3,806 students who were first-year students in a university by self-reported questionnaire from February 26 to March 10, 2015. Multiple logistic regression analysis was performed to identify the difference of health promotion behaviors by physical activities. Results: 51.4% of the first-year student was regular exercisers who had practiced on regular walking exercise or regular strength exercise or regular aerobic exercise for a week. 87.8% of students exercised one or more times within the last one week. On the other hand, 12.2% of them did not exercise. In multiple logistic regression models, it remained significantly the difference of regular exercise by gender, subjective health status, sleeping time per one day, BMI, drinking behavior, and eating habit (p<0.05, p<0.01, p<0.001). Also it remained significantly the difference by physical activity type, such as walking, strengthen, and aerobic exercise (p<0.05, p<0.01, p<0.001). Conclusion: To help the achievement of academic goal, it should build physical activity policies and comprehensive health promotion programs to reduce health risk factors of university students. Comprehensive university health services and customized program for university students could help to make the best of their health. In future, to enhance physical activity practice, it needs to develop various tailed messages and smart healthcare service using health information technology (IT) on campus.
