  • This paper introduces the method of sequential clustering as a tool for the effective clustering of mass unit electrical systems. The interconnected network system retains information about the location of each line. With this information, this paper aims to carry out initial clustering through the transmission usage rate, compare the results of similarity measures for regional information with similarity measures for regional price, and introduce the technicalities of the clustering method. This transmission usage rate used power flow based on congestion costs and modified similarity measurements using the FCM algorithm. This paper also aims to prove the propriety of the proposed clustering method by comparing it with existing clustering methods that use the similarity measurement system. The proposed algorithm is demonstrated through the IEEE 39-bus RTS.

Analysis of Similarity of Twitter Topic Categories among Regions

  • Twitter can spread and share all kinds of information such as facts, opinions, and ideas in real time. In this paper, we empirically compare and analyze the topic categories in Twitter with all top 100 users in each of geographic region. We mainly consider the relationships among regions and selected four regions: Global, Seoul, Tokyo, and Beijing. Each of the top 100 users in Twitter is classified into a specific category and then statistical analysis is conducted. Among eight topic categories, the "Arts" category is the largest and the second is "Life". The correlation between global and Seoul groups has the lowest value among the six pairs of relationships between regional groups, and this difference is statistically significant. We find that the Seoul, Tokyo, and Beijing regional Twitter groups, all in East Asia, have high topical similarity. Based on the correlation analysis, Seoul and Tokyo saliently show a sticky trend. The correlation coefficient presents very a strong positive correlation between Seoul and Tokyo. The correlation between the global group and the East Asian groups is relatively lower than that among the East Asian groups.

  • A FCM with locational price and regional information between locations are proposed in this paper. Any point in a networked system has its own values indicating the physical characteristics of that networked system and regional information at the same time. The similarity measure used for FCM in this paper is defined through the system-wide characteristic values at each point. To avoid the grouping of geometrically distant locations with similar measures, the locational information are properly considered and incorporated in the proposed similarity measure. We have verified that the proposed measure has produced proper classification of a networked system, followed by an example of a networked electricity system.

Character Recognition using Regional Structure

  • With the advent of the fourth industry, the need for office automation with automatic character recognition capabilities is increasing day by day. Therefore, in this paper, we study a character recognition algorithm that effectively recognizes a new experimental data character by using learning data characters. The proposed algorithm computes the degree of similarity that the structural regions of learning data characters match the corresponding regions of the experimental data character. It has been confirmed that satisfactory results can be obtained by selecting the learning data character with the highest degree of similarity in the matching process as the final recognition result for a given experimental data character.

  • The species of Grateloupia filicina, Grateloupia divaricata in East Sea were investigated taxonmically in order to clarify taxonomic position. The ecological character, external morphology, anatomy of vegetative structure. Blade length are $15{\sim}40\;cm$, erect from discoidal holdfast of $3{\sim}10\;mm$ in diameter. Stipe $1{\sim}2.5\;cm$ long, narrowly cylindrical below, compressed above Grateloupia filicina. Main axis are long and compressed, $3{\sim}7\;mm$ broad in broadest part. Colors are scarlet to light red. Blade length are $10{\sim}25\;cm$, erect from discoidal holdfast of $3{\sim}8\;cm$ in diameter Grateloupia divaricata. Stipe are single and simple $2{\sim}5\;mm$ broad. Thallus composed of cortex and medulla in section ; cortex composed of $9{\sim}10$ layers of anticlinally arranged cortical cell, divided into outer, middle and inner parts. Partial fragments of nuclear 18S rDNAs from the two species of Grateloupia (Rhodophyta) were amplified using the PCR reaction and sequenced to compare their similarity. The partial sequences showed 98.9% similarity each other. Grateloupia filicina has 371 bp sizes and Grateloupia divaricata has 372 bp size. The G+C contents of Grateloupia filicina is 54.3% and Grateloupia divaricata is 53.64%.

충청지역 온천관광지 이미지 유사성 및 선택요인 인식도 분석 (The Analysis of Similarity in Image and Selection Factor Recognition for Spa Touristy Places in Chungcheong Area)

  • 본 연구는 충청지역 6개 온천관광지(유성, 온양, 도고, 수안보, 아산, 덕산)를 대상으로 이미지 유사성 및 선택요인 인식도를 다차원척도법을 활용하여 분석함에 목적이 있었다. 실증분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 온천관광지의 이미지 유사성 분석 결과, "아산과 온양" 그리고 "수안보와 덕산"이 각각 다른 유사한 이미지 그룹을 형성하고 있다. 그러나 유성은 다른 온천관광지와 다른 이미지를 갖고 있다. 둘째, 온천관광지 선택요인 인식도 분석 결과, 선택요인 '온천시설', '이용비용 및 '서비스질'은 분석대상 6개 온천에서 인식도에서는 큰 차이가 없으나, '온천명소'는 온양, 유성, 덕산 및 수안보 온천에서 선택요인 반영도가 높으나 아산과 도고는 반영도가 낮게 나타났다. 선택요인 '관광명소'는 온양, 유성 및 도고 지역의 속성 반영도가 높으나 아산은 낮은 것으로 분석되었다.

Collective Prediction exploiting Spatio Temporal correlation (CoPeST) for energy efficient wireless sensor networks

  • Data redundancy has high impact on Wireless Sensor Network's (WSN) performance and reliability. Spatial and temporal similarity is an inherent property of sensory data. By reducing this spatio-temporal data redundancy, substantial amount of nodal energy and bandwidth can be conserved. Most of the data gathering approaches use either temporal correlation or spatial correlation to minimize data redundancy. In Collective Prediction exploiting Spatio Temporal correlation (CoPeST), we exploit both the spatial and temporal correlation between sensory data. In the proposed work, the spatial redundancy of sensor data is reduced by similarity based sub clustering, where closely correlated sensor nodes are represented by a single representative node. The temporal redundancy is reduced by model based prediction approach, where only a subset of sensor data is transmitted and the rest is predicted. The proposed work reduces substantial amount of energy expensive communication, while maintaining the data within user define error threshold. Being a distributed approach, the proposed work is highly scalable. The work achieves up to 65% data reduction in a periodical data gathering system with an error tolerance of 0.6℃ on collected data.

RAPD 표지인자를 이용한 돌콩 DNA 다형현상 분석 (Identification of DNA polymorphisms in the field bean ( Glycine soza S. and Z. ) using RAPD markers)

  • Six field bean (GI-vcine soza S and Z ) plants were examined for their genetic polymorphisms and intraspecific variations using randomly amplified polymorphic DNA(RAPD) markers. In RAPD analysis of 5 random primers (Rp-1, Rp2, Rp-3, Rp-4, Rp-5), 30 of total 155 bands obtained kom 5 primers were polymorphic and sizes of polymirphic band ranged between 0.5 and 3.0 kb. Number of bands amplyfied per primer was varied from 2 to 11 and average number was 6.0. Genetic variation of intraspecies in the samples of six region was ranged behveen 11 to 25 percent, and genetic similarity among intraspecies was ranged from 0.69 to 0.78. In pairwise genetic similarity test of six field bean plants, Mun and Hoj showed highest coefficient of genetic similarity as 0.67, whereas Sin and Hoj was lowest as 0.45. According to the genetic similarity, the level of intraspecific variation is higher than that of regional distance in GI-vcine soza.

지역농협의 성과제고를 위한 효율적 자원활용: 자원공유의 결정요인과 성과함의 (Efficient utilization of resource in Regional Agricultural Cooperatives: determinants and performance implications of resource sharing)

  • 지역농협이 직면한 환경불확실성의 증가와 경쟁의 심화에 따라 조직성과 개선에 대한 압박이 증가하는 추세이며, 이에 대한 해결안으로 선행연구들은 자원공유를 통한 효율성의 개선을 강조하였다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 우리나라 45개 지역농협의 132개 사업부를 대상으로 자원공유를 통한 성과제고의 여부를 검토하였다. 실증분석 결과에 따르면 사업부 간 보유자원의 유사성이 높을수록, 사업부의 자원보유수준이 높을수록 사업부 간 자원공유는 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 자원공유가 증가할수록 사업부 성과도 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 매개효과 분석에서 사업부 간 보유자원의 유사성과 사업부의 자원보유수준은 각각 사업부 간 자원공유를 통해 사업부 성과를 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 사업부가 속한 지역농협의 전반적인 자원보유수준은 사업부 간 자원공유에 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 매개효과도 존재하지 않았다. 본 연구는 비기업 조직을 대상으로 자원공유의 유효성을 확인했으며, 자원공유의 성과제고 효과를 높이는 상황적 조건들을 확인했다는 데에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다.
