Inter-domain routing is the most critical function of the Internet. The routing system is a logical network relying on the physical infrastructure with geographical characteristics. Nature disasters or disruptive accidents such as earthquakes, cable cuts and power outages could cause regional failures which fail down geographically co-located network nodes and links, therefore, affect the resilience of inter-domain routing system. This paper presents a model for regional failures in inter-domain routing system called REFER for the first time. Based on REFER, the resilience of the inter-domain routing system could be evaluated on a finer level of the Internet, considering different routing policies of intra-domain and inter-domain routing systems. Under this model, we perform simulations on an empirical topology of the Internet with geographical characteristics to simulate a regional failure locating at a city with important IXP (Internet eXchange Point). Results indicate that the Internet is robust under a city-level regional failure. The reachability is almost the same after the failure, and the reroutings occur at the edge of the Internet, hardly affecting the core of inter-domain routing system.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the migration patterns of new nurses and experienced nurses and to identify the factors influencing inter-regional migration for solving regional imbalances of clinical nurses in South Korea. Methods: This study involved a secondary analysis of data from the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple logistic regression analysis. Results: New nurses tended to migrate from Kyunggi to Seoul. However, experienced nurses tended to migrate from Seoul and Chungchung to Kyunggi. Significant predictors of inter-regional migration among new nurses were location and nurse staffing grade of hospitals. Significant predictors of inter-regional migration among experienced nurses were location, hospital type, nurse staffing grade, ownership of hospitals and age of nurses. Conclusion: Inter-regional migration occupied a small portion of total hospital movement among clinical nurses. The regional imbalances of nurses were not caused by the migration from non-metropolitan areas to Seoul. Nurse shortage problems in the small and medium hospitals of the non-metropolitan area can be solved only through improvement of work environment.

본 연구는 충청지역를 대상으로 하여 지역산업연관분석을 실시함으로써 지역경제활성화를 위한 산업선정과 투자우선순위 등을 제시하고자 함이다. RAS기법을 이용하여 2005년 전국산업연관표를 바탕으로 2006년 전국산업연관표를 작성한 후에, 입지계수법을 이용하여 2006년 충청지역산업연관표를 작성하여, 충청지역의 각종 파급효과들을 분석하였다. 생산유발효과, 부가가치 유발효과 분석결과는 제조업부문이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 취업유발효과의 경우 음식점 및 숙박업이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 감응도계수는 광업, 영향력계수는 제조업부문에서 높게 분석되었다.

본 연구의 목적은 IMF 외환위기 기간(1996-2001)동안의 지역 자료를 활용하여, 지식기반경제에 있어서 지역의 지식연계망 기능을 분석하는데 있다. 특히, 지역혁신과 관련하여 지역간 지식연계망에 관한 다음과 같은 사항을 구명하고자 하였다. 첫째, 지역에서 지역간 지식연계망을 어떻게 구별할 수 있는가? 둘째, 실물 경제와 지역간 지식 연계망의 관계는 무엇인가? 이러한 의문 사항을 해결하기 위하여, 본 연구에서는 실물 경제의 변화와 지역간 지식연계망 간의 관계를 분석하기 위해서 사회 연계망 분석법을 활용하였으며, 실증분석을 위해서 1996년부터 2001 년까지의 16개 시도의 지역 고용 자료를 사용하였다. 주요 분석 결과로는 먼저 지역간 지식연계망의 집중도와 실물 경제의 경제성장률과는 양의 상관관계를 갖고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 또한 지역간 지식연계망의 밀도와 표준편차는 실물 경제의 경제성장률과는 음의 상관관계를 갖고 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

This study presents the orbit determination (OD) of a candidate Korea Regional Navigation Satellite System (KRNSS) using both inter-satellite links (ISLs) and ground observations. The candidate constellation of KRNSS is first introduced. The OD algorithm based on both ISL and ground observation is developed, and consists of three main components: dynamic model for Korean navigation satellites, measurement model for ISLs and ground observations, and the batch least-square filter for estimating OD parameters. As numerical simulations are performed to analyze the OD performances, the present study focuses on investigating the effects of ISL measurements on the OD accuracy of KRNSS. Simulation results show that the use of ISLs can considerably enhance the OD accuracy to one meter (design preference) under certain distributions of ground stations.

우리나라 대표적인 임해형 산업지역으로 기능하고 있는 광양만권에 있는 여수시 순천시 광양시는 단일 생활권 도시권 경제권을 형성하고 있다. 이런 지역적 여건에서 일부 상공인과 전문가들이 3개 도시의 연합체 논의를 추동하고 있다. 이 연구는 광양만권 도시연합을 전문가 집단은 어떻게 인식 평가하는가를 분석한 것이다. 전문가 집단은 광양만권 발전 잠재력을 높게 인식하였고, 도시연합 타당성도 매우 긍정적으로 평가하였다. 여수 순천 광양의 도시연합에는 약 8.3년 정도 소요될 것으로 추정하였다. 도시연합을 성사시키기 위해서는 광양만권 발전 비전의 공유, 도시연합을 위한 주민의 이해와 동의가 선행 과제로 도출되었다.

This paper applies dynamic versions of shift share models to a simple regional employment model. It tests for the existence of a long run interregional employment equilibrium and then estimates the impulse response functions for each employment series to determine which shocks are temporary and which are permanent.

For the last 10 years, there were also a lot of exchanges and cooperations between North and South Korea's local governments. Dealing with these exchanges more systematically, local governments had issued many regulations. But in the law level, the current laws regulating exchanges and cooperations between North and South Korea lacked care in the role of local governments in the course of Korea reunification. Therefore, it is necessary to redesign the legal system to support and promote the role of local governments in unification affairs. The purpose of this study is to seek answers to a question how the Inter-Korea forest cooperation project effect on regional economy compared with other forest sectors. Results of this study proved that Inter-Korea forest cooperation project effects on regional economy positively as 'plus investment', not negatively. Forest cooperation project will be resolve Inter-Korea conflicts more peacefully. So government should be supported continuously in the long run in order to raise the performance.

본 연구에서는 부산 대도시권의 인구이동 특성을 살펴보기 위하여 부산 대도시권의 인구구조, 부산 대도시권 내부의 인구이동, 부산 대도시권과 다른 지역 사이의 인구이동을 분석하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전국 대비 부산 대도시권의 인구 및 가구 비율은 지속적으로 감소하고 있다. 특히 주 생산 연령층인 25~39세 인구가 크게 감소하였다. 둘째, 서울 대도시권에 비해 부산 대도시권은 상대적으로 시도내 인구이동 비율이 높고, 시도간 인구이동 비율이 낮은 것으로 보아, 기능적 연계에 의한 대도시권의 통합 정도가 낮은 것으로 판단된다. 셋째, 부산에서 서울 대도시권으로의 전출 초과가 갈수록 증가하여 부산의 전출 초과에서 수도권의 영향력이 강화되고 있다.

Fast economic growth and urbanization of China have been causing air pollution not only over its domestic but transboundary atmosphere. Recent high fine particle pollution episodes in China made the government move toward more stringent air pollution control policies - which are mostly fuel switching and emissions control. In this research, we tried to understand characteristics of Chinese emissions and their change by analyzing its emissions inventory by year, sector, and region. From the inter-comparison of existing bottom-up emission inventories, we found relatively good agreements (<20% difference) for $SO_2$ and $NO_x$, but 30% or more discrepancies for some pollutants. Inter-comparison with top-down $NO_x$ emissions estimates also showed 20~50% differences by year. The regional distribution and inter-annual changes of emissions revealed different stages of energy/fuel mix and policy penetration. Early increase of pollutants emissions in the eastern part of China might give strong influences to the Korean peninsular in early 2000s but, more stringent control in that region would help improving air pollution in Korea in near future.
