A silkworm (Bombyx mori L.) extract known to contain naturally occurring iminosugars, including 1-deoxynojirimycin (1-DNJ) derived from the mulberry tree (Morus alba L.), was evaluated in surrogate HCV and HBV in vitro assays. Antiviral activity of the silkworm extract and one of its purified constituents, 1-DNJ, was demonstrated against bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) and GB virus-B (GBV-B), both members of the Flaviviridae family, and against woodchuck hepatitis virus (WHV) and hepatitis B virus (HBV), both members of the Hepadnaviridae family of viruses. The silkworm extract exhibited a 1,300 fold greater antiviral effect against BVDV in comparison to purified 1-DNJ. Glycoprotein processing of BVDV envelope proteins was disrupted upon treatment with the naturally derived components. The glycosylation of the WHV envelope proteins was affected largely by treatment with the silkworm extract than with purified 1-DNJ as well. The mechanism of action for this therapy may lie in the generation of defective particles that are unable to initiate the next cycle of infection as demonstrated by inhibition of GBV-B in vitro. We postulate that the five constituent iminosugars present in the silkworm extract contribute, in a synergistic manner, toward the antiviral effects observed for the inhibition of intact maturation of hepatitis viral particles and may complement conventional therapies. These results indicate that pre-clinical testing of the natural silkworm extract with regards to the efficacy of treatment against viral hepatitis infections can be evaluated in the respective animal models, in preparation for clinical trials in humans.

The DIROM (Daily Irrigation Reservoir Operation Model) was modified to estimate amounts of water release from reservoirs, considering customary irrigation water management practices, such as water supply for puddling and transplanting paddy rice from seeding beds and mid-season drainage. The applicability of the modified model was investigated by simulating amounts of water release from three study reservoirs: Hwamae, Ogi, and Doya Reservoirs. In terms of annual amounts of water release, the relative errors between the observed and simulated values in 2012 and 2013 ranged -26.20 % to 10.28 % and 4.90 % to 30.06 %, respectively; in case of reservoir water levels, the RMSE values ranged 0.45 m to 1.34 m and 0.40 m to 1.27 m, respectively. Also, it was revealed that the model provided better simulation results for monthly water releases than the original model. In addition, the model presented better performance in simulating 10-day amounts of water release from April to June. However, the model had still significant errors in the simulation results from July to September because the reservoirs were practically operated to adapt to water management circumstances. Finally, it is concluded that the modified DIROM can estimate the amounts of water release from reservoirs, reflecting irrigation water management customs in paddy-field districts. To achieve higher prediction accuracy of the model, it is necessary to incorporate practical reservoir operation rules into the model.

The Doam Lake watershed has a significant impact on the downstream water system due to nutrients and sediment outflow during rainfall caused by steep slopes, soil losses, and fertilization. These non-point sources are unclear in the discharge area and are affected by land use patterns, soil characteristics, and topographical features of the watershed. Therefore, this study conducted rainfall monitoring from July to October 2019 in Songcheon upstream of the Doam Lake watershed, one of the non-point pollution source management areas. Then, after analyzing rainfall runoff, Event Mean Concentration (EMC) and Mass First Flush ratio (MFFn) were calculated to compare and analyze the characteristics of rainfall and the non-point pollutant discharge. As a result of the analysis, it showed various non-point pollutant emission characteristics for each rainfall event. In addition, the concentration of EMC and the MFFn were affected by the average rainfall intensity and the maximum rainfall intensity, and were not significantly affected by the number of antecedent drying days. In the future, it is expected that effective non-point source reduction measures and management measures according to rainfall intensity through continuous monitoring and analysis will be needed.

We utilize the CAMx (Comprehensive Air Quality Model with eXtensions) system and the PSAT (Particulate Source Apportionment Technology) diagnostic tool to determine the $PM_{2.5}$ concentration and to perform its source apportionment in the southeastern region of South Korea. For a year-long simulation, eight local authorities in the region such as Pohang, Daegu, Gyeongju, Ulsan, Busan-Gimhae, Gosung-Changwon, Hadong, and all remaining areas in Gyeongsangnam-do, are selected as source areas based on the emission rates of $NO_x$, $SO_x$, VOC, and primary PM in CAPSS (Clean Air Policy Support System) 2013 emissions inventory. The CAMx-PSAT simulation shows that Pohang has the highest $PM_{2.5}$ self-contribution rate (25%), followed by Hadong (15%) and Busan-Gimhae (14%). With the exception of Pohang, which has intense fugitive dust emissions, other authorities are strongly affected by emissions from their neighboring areas. This may be measured as much as 1 to 2 times higher than that of the self-contribution rate. Based on these estimations, we conclude that the efficiency of emission reduction measures to mitigate $PM_{2.5}$ concentrations in the southeastern region of South Korea can be maximized when the efforts of local or regional emission controls are combined with those from neighboring regions. A comprehensive control policy planning based on the collaboration between neighboring jurisdictional boundaries is required.

For this it is necessary to maintain high productivity and competitive power. Now with the exception of a portion of the deep - sea fishing, our fisheries is generally paltry, Especially inshore fishery which is the main stock in our fisheries is very paltry and so productivity and competetive power are very low. So to develop our fisheries which has s comparative disadvantage active polices that follows below are to be promoted on a large scale. \circled1 improvement of structure \circled2 augmentation of productivity in fishing ground by making fisheries resourses \circled3 enlargement of finantial and monetary assistance \circled4 effective administration of fisheries cooperative union \circled5 activation of R&D etc These polices which need to be scientific and comprehensive are very valuable. Especially without making fishieries resources we cannot expect economy of scale, promotion of productivity and development of fisheries. And we do also endeavour to gather the results of the study and investigation about fisheries domestic and foreign and do ceaselessly put these to practical use systimatically.

In this study, among the new industries that are attracting attention as a new industry to lead the 4th Industrial Revolution era, Korean traditional culture and arts are being promoted in the context of local community efforts and collaboration between industry and academia. It aims to create jobs through local traditional culture, arts, tourism events and design product development, while seeking ways to secure labor force that can save and revitalize high value-added industries in the community. In particular, in the current situation where the era of change and the education of traditional techniques are increasingly ignored and neglected, this study is a traditional cultural art through natural dyeing education and cultural and art events conducted by industry, regional universities, and research institutes in Pyeongtaek for many years. It is expected to be used as a basic data for the transmission and creation of high value-added jobs.
This study has attempted to suggest an assistant model for systematic child care accreditation. This has been carried out from the current consciousness of such needs for child care accreditation as large regional disparity in assistant level, no indication to definite contents and method of assistance, demand for assistant professionals with intensified capacity and requirement for the support of financial and human resources. Six stages of assistant process: the stage of establishment and management of preparation class, the stage of application for assistance and consultation, the stage of assistant meeting, the stage of workshop and observation to exemplary institutions, and the stage of practical application and evaluation of visiting assistance have been suggested. Particularly in order to improve the efficiency of assistance, organization of a committee of expert advisors in each area has been indicated. For the guideline of assistant management, operation of preparation class for accreditation, security of assistant committee members, provision of systematic training and assistant manual, development of supervision program and financial support have been suggested. This assistant manual will contribute to systematic and efficient conduct of assistance program of child care accreditation.
The purposes of this study were to provide information on the prevalence and change of Korean adolescent alcohol use and to identify related factors to adolescent alcohol use. This study collected data from a total of 4,373 adolescents nationally. Followings are the major findings of this study. First, 75.7 percent of respondents reported that they tried alcohol in their life time. More male respondents tried alcohol in their lifetime than female respondents, but there was no big difference. Findings on alcohol consumption by grade showed that as adolescents get older, they are more likely to try alcohol. Second, this study also found that whereas the drinking rates of male adolescents and higher graders were steady, the rates of female adolescents and lower graders were increased since 1997. Third, this study compared its findings with adolescent alcohol use in the United States. Little differences existed in measures of adolescent alcohol use in the two countries, but the differences in the rates of the past-month alcohol use and heavy drinking was greater in Korean adolescents than in American adolescents. Finally, this study found that peer related factors such as friend's alcohol use was the strongest factor related to respondents' alcohol use. Family-related factors and respondents' levels of psychosocial resources (cognitive control, coping skills, social support) were also significantly related to their alcohol use. This study suggest that future studies consider cultural aspects and regional differences in order to understand adolescent alcohol use in more depth.
A pendulum of industrial education begins to shift from one based on industrialized society to one on information-based age. To produce an effective result in this situation, It is necessary that an accurate estimate of a change in the circumstances of industrial high schools of Gyeonggi-do. This study researched the province's characteristics and countermeasures on industrial education adjusting the change of industrial environments by regional groups and suggested the solutions as follows. First, This study classified Gyeonggi-do into 9 regions considering the region's respective industrial structure and suggested the structure adjustment plan. Second, This study suggested '3-type curriculum management plan' based on the structure adjustment plan of industrial high schools. It includes employment-centered curriculum which provides the human resources required by industrial community, foundation-centered curriculum which revitalizes starting up a enterprises and clears up the manpower problems, college preparation-centered curriculum which meets the need of the students who are much interested in going to the next stage of education. Third, this study suggested a solution to a problem of surplus industry teacher. It includes 3 methods: Increasing practical training from 2 ours to 3 hours, assigning teachers for a task of academic-industrial collaboration and career counseling, qualifying industrial teachers for another course by minor. An amicable settlement on these matters requires a systematic administrative and financial support based on closely connected governmental-academic-industrial collaboration.

In this paper, 18 railway stations in Gyunggi-do are selected as metropolitan transfer centers out of 203 stations based on three elements. They are the number of passengers, the level of connection transport, and the level of relevant plans. For 18 stations the level of service (LOS) is analyzed for connection transport system. As a result, half of them are found to be below LOS "D". In order to maximize the use of those railway stations, a method is proposed to upgrade the level of service to "C" above. Finally, the improvement plans are suggested for two acts. In the Special Act on Metropolitan Traffic Management of the Metropolitan Region, the central government financial support ratio is suggested from 30% to 50%, from "necessary costs" to "total costs." In the Act on National Integrated Transport System Efficiency, 50% for connection road and 70% for connection raiway are suggested.
