Simultaneous determination of betaine and choline using derivatization by HPLC with UV detection (HPLC-UV검출방법으로 유도체화를 통한 비테인과 콜린의 동시분석)

  • Extraction of quaternary ammonium compounds (choline and betaine) from plant samples (spinach) using ion exchange resin (AG1, OH form) is a very simple and inexpensive approach. However, it is very hard to determine amounts of choline and betaine simultaneously using high-performance liquid chromatography-ultraviolet (HPLC-UV) detection. Unlike choline, betaine has low molar absorptivity in UV-visible (UV-Vis) region, which makes it difficult to carry out UV-Vis detection of betaine. The mixture of quaternary ammonium compounds (choline and betaine) was derivatized using 2-bromo acetophenone as a derivatizing agent. As a result, choline did not react with the derivatizing agent, whereas betaine formed a betaine derivative. This betaine derivative exhibited detectable UV absorption with baseline separation between choline and the betaine derivative. Thus, with this method, choline and betaine can be determined simultaneously by using the HPLCUV method through one-step derivatization, which is an easy, sensitive, and reliable method.

  • This paper proposes a reconstruction method for the shape and color information of 3-dimensional buildings. The proposed method is range scanning by laser range finder and image coordinates' color information mapping to laser coordinate by a fixed CCD camera on laser range finder. And we make a 'Far-View' using high-resolution satellite image. The 'Far-View' is created that the height of building using DEM after contours of building extraction. The user select a region of 'Far View' and then, appear detailed 3D-reconstruction of building The outcomes apply to city plan, 3D-environment game and movie background etc.

  • This paper proposes the real-time moving object tracking system UAV using color information. Case of object tracking, it have studied to recognizing the moving object or moving multiple objects on the fixed camera. And it has recognized the object in the complex background environment. But, this paper implements the moving object tracking system using the pan/tilt function of the camera after the object's region extraction. To do this tracking system, firstly, it detects the moving object of RGB/HSI color model and obtains the object coordination in acquired image using the compact boundary box. Secondly, the camera origin coordination aligns to object's top&left coordination in compact boundary box. And it tracks the moving object using the pan/tilt function of camera. It is implemented by the Labview 8.6 and NI Vision Builder AI of National Instrument co. It shows the good performance of camera trace in laboratory environment.

  • Recently, it Is required to develop OCR(Optical Character Reader) along with the progress of the information processing system for Hangeul. Characters have to be recognized clearly so that OCR can be applied, Structure analysis method and lump method are used for the recognition of characters, and OCR is now available for the recognition of printed characters and handwritten alphanumeric characters having simple structure by them However, It is known that there should be much more study on the development of handwritten Hangout's OCR. This paper proposed a new method for the handwritten Hangout character recognition. The units of Initial consonant of Hangout are separated and then recognized from the utilization of the position- Information of Hangeul's units from the normalized patterns using the regression line theory. It is carried out for the extraction of the block which exists in the virtual Initial consonant region from the normalized input patterns and the calculation on maximum value (${\beta}$) of likelihood after comparing the features of separated subpattern with the initial consonant dictionary.

  • In this paper, we develop the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) System. ANPR is generally composed of the following four steps: i) The acquisition of the image; ii) The extraction of the region of the number plate; iii) The partition of the number and iv) The recognition. The second and third steps incorporate image processing technique. We propose to resolve this by using Partial Differential Equation(PDE) based segmentation method. This method is computationally efficient and robust. Results indicate that our methods are capable to recognize the plate number on difficult situations.

  • The part-surface of mold or stamping-dies consists of a compound surface which consists of lots of composite surfaces, and may have various types of feature shapes including convex sharp edge (CSE). Those CSE features should be considered with care in machining the surface, which necessitates extraction of CSE curves on a compound surface. This work can be done rather easily for a solid model which has a complete topology information. In case of the compound surface without topology information, however, such CSE curves must be gathered through some geometrical calculations paying much computation time. In the paper, extracting CSE curves by the construction of a CSE region-map which can reduce time, and detecting various common edge types are presented.

  • In this paper, we calculated the losses in the high voltage lines of power distribution system. The losses caused by high voltage lines are calculated using maximum current, resistance, loss factor, and dispersion loss factor. The accurate extraction of these factors are very important to calculate the losses exactly. Thus, the maximum loads are subdivided to regions and calculated monthly for more accurate maximum current calculation. Also, the composite resistance is calculated according to the ratio of the used wire types. In order to calculate the loss factor, the load factors according to the characteristics of each region were calculated. Finally, the losses of the distribution system is calculated by adding the losses by the transformers and the low voltage lines.

  • 본 논문은 신원확인 수단으로 부각되어 관심이 높은 홍채인식에 대한 연구이다 홍채인식 시스템의 경우 홍채영역에 따라 각 영상들의 특징 값이 차지하는 비중이 서로 다르게 분포되어 있고 눈썹이나 조명에 의한 잡음으로 인하여 인식성능에 영향을 미친다. 이 경우 기존에 등록되어 인증된 사용자의 홍채영상일지라도 제대로 인식하지 못하거나 인증에 실패할 수 있으며, 실세계에서의 홍채영역 사용이 원활하지 못하게 된다. 그러므로 단일 생체인식 시스템에서 홍채인식을 할 경우, 중요한 특징을 그대로 유지하고 인식성능을 향상시키기 위해서 획득된 홍채 영상의 정규화와 전처리 과정을 거친 다음 홍채영역을 분할한 후 각 영역에서의 보정치 적용을 통한 특징추출 방법을 제안한다. 또한 웨이블릿 변환과 주성분 분석을 이용하여 인식 성능이 개선된 특징추출 방법임을 보인다.

  • In this paper, a Hybrid method for an effective channel length($L_{eff}$) on lightly doped drain(LDD) MOSFET's is proposed. In order to investigate the difference of the gate bias and substrate bias defendence of the $L_{eff}$ among various LDD structures, the $L_{eff}$ of the LDD's are extensively examined using simulations and measurement. one group is proposed for conventional MOSFET and the other group Is proposed for LDD MOSFET. It is shown that the $V_{bs}$-dependence of the n-region is different from $V_{gs}$-dependence of it.

  • 본 논문에서는 강인한 손 영역 특징 점 추출 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 HCbCr 칼라 모델을 생성한 후 퍼지 색상 필터에 적용하여 손 후보 영역을 추출한다. 최종적으로 손 영역을 추출하기 위해서 레이블링 기법을 사용한다. 그 후, 추출된 손 영역의 실루엣을 추출하고 히스토그램 기법을 적용하여 손 영역 내의 COG를 추출 한다. 손 영역 특징 점 추출을 위해 Canny edge 기법과 Chain Code기법, DP(Douglas-Peucker)기법들을 이용하여 전처리 과정을 거쳐 1차 특징점을 추출한다. 추출된 1차 특징 점을 Convex Hull기법에 적용하여 최종적인 손 영역 특징 점을 추출한다. 마지막으로, 복잡하고 다양한 실내 환경에서의 실험을 통해 그 응용 가능성을 증명한다.
