Recently regenerative burner system was developed and begins to be gradually used for better energy savings. Compared to conventional burner system the regenrative one has the several merits such as higher fuel efficiency light weigh of apparatus low harmful toxic gas and homogeneous heating zone etc. The regenerative material a very important component of the new regenerative burner system should possess the properties of low specific density higher surface area and high specific heat capacity. Ceramics is the best regenerative material because of stable mechanical properties even at high temperature and better thermal properties and excellent chemical stability. In this study alumina ball alumina tube 3-D ceramic foam and hoeycomb as regenerative materials were tested and evaluated. The computer silumation was conducted and compared to the result of field test. This paper is aimed to introduce a new application of ceramics at high temperature.
Most of DC 1500V electric railway substations have adopted diode rectifiers to supply stable DC power. However, the diode rectifiers operate in the first quadrant of the voltage-current plane and thus need regenerative inverters which transfer the surplus regenerative power caused by regenerative braking of electric train sets into the grid. In order to select the proper capacity and installation position of regenerative inverter, it needs to investigate the consumed and regenerative energy of the electric traction substations in advance. This paper presents an analysis of regenerative energy in two substations operating in Seoul Seolleung and Kwangju Yangdong substations. DC line voltage and feeder currents are measured for a day to calculate consumed and regenerative power far four feeders. We calculated an amount of regenerative energy consumed in other feeders and estimated the cost reduction in energy consumption due to the reuse of regenerative energy
The regenerative braked cars are being introduced in DC electric railway for energy saving. There has been a recent tendency for DC traction substation with regenerative inverter to increase in number. This is strongly related to the desire for effective utilization of electric power regenerated by DC electric cars and to the aim ensuring stable operation of regenerative braking system. The regenerative inverters DC power feed back from a generative car into AC power at a substation and supplies it to distribution lines. This paper suggest the result of characteristic analysis and capacity simulation. economical analysis in the regenerative inverter system.
This paper presents capability calculation methods for regenerative inverter in DC electrified transit system. The proposed method uses a train performance and power simulation tool to calculate the regenerative power generated in the DC substation and decide the capability of regenerative inverter. The capability of regenerative inverters for Seoul subway line 5, 6, 7, and 8 has been calculated.
Vertebrates regenerate tissues in three ways: proliferation of cells that maintain some or all of their differentiated structure and function, redifferentiation of mature cells followed by proliferation and redifferentiation into the same cell type or transdetermination to another cell type, and activation of restricted lineage stem cells, which have the ability to transdetermine to different lineages under the appropriate conditions. The behavior of the cells during regeneration is regulated by growth factors and extracellular matrix molecules. Some non-regenerating tissues are now known to harbor stem cells which, though they form scar tissue in vivo, are capable of producing new tissue-specific cells in vitro, suggesting that the injury environment inhibits latent regenerative capacity. Regenerative medicine seeks to restore tissues via transplantation of stem cell derivatives, implantation of bioartificial tissues, or stimulation of regeneration in vivo. These approaches have been partly successful, but several research issues must be addressed before regenerative medicine becomes a clinical reality.

This paper presents a new adaptive relay selection scheme for a regenerative orthogonal frequency division multiplexing access(OFDMA) relay network with fairness constrains. In the Proposed scheme, we select the best M relays out of a set of K potential relays to maximize system capacity. Among these selected relays, subcarriers are reallocated to satisfy fairness constraints as well as to minimize the degradation of the system performance. Afterwards, power allocation is performed for each subcarrier based on the water-filling method to enhance the performance improvement. By using the trade-off relationship between the system capacity and the fairness, the modified version of proposed scheme is also investigated.

The use of regenerative energy in AC drive systems has been an issue since the system became an industry standard in the 1990s. According to the quantity of the regenerative energy, the braking resistor in the case of low capacity was common. However the use of such low amount of energy is actively discussed, and the method of mounting the regenerative converter is becoming popular. In this paper, an isolated regenerative converter for reducing the circulating current which is mentioned as the biggest disadvantage of the conventional power regenerative converter system is proposed. In order to save energy, employing a power regenerative converter system for utilizing regenerative energy in an AC drive system is common. However due to the structure of the system, a circulating current is generated, which inevitably causes a decrease in efficiency. In this paper, an isolated regenerative power converter system is proposed to solve the circulating current and computer simulation to verify the possibility. The simulation results show that 20% of the circulating current of the conventional system does not appear in the proposed system, and the validity of the proposed system is confirmed.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate on the regenerative capacity by using different size of graft materials around bony defect around implant. Material and Methods: Dental implant fixtures(Bio-TIS, Korea) were placed into the tibia of 8 rabbits. After placement of implant, artificial defects were created for each group, and the size of bone graft materials were used according to each designated group. 4 weeks after surgery, 8 rabbits were sacrificed. The histologic and histomorphometrical study were done for comparison of the regenerative capacity using $80-90{\mu}m$ and $200{\sim}1000{\mu}m$ size of grafting materials of OCS-$B^{(R)}$. Result: Matured bone formation was significantly increased more in Group E1($80-90{\mu}m$) than in Group E2($200{\sim}1000{\mu}m$). Group E1($80-90{\mu}m$) showed more significant augmentation in marginal length of graft material per unit area than Group E2($200{\sim}1000{\mu}m$). Group E1($80-90{\mu}m$) showed more interspace in graft material than Group E2($200{\sim}1000{\mu}m$). Control group showed no new bone formation around and inside of implanted fixture. Conclusion: Small grafting material size has great influence on bone regeneration.

A performance of a regenerative pump has been analyzed using various pressure loss correlations. The predicted head and efficiency agree favorably with experimental data, which confirms the validity of the present analysis. In addition, performance improvement is made through the optimization of the open channel geometry configuration and the capacity of the regenerative pump. The optimized pump has better efficiency, higher head and larger flow coefficient. Moreover, its operation range is wider than that of the conventional unit.

Full Electric Vehicle needs regenerative braking system by it's limitation of energy storage capacity. In this study, we suggest the system trade-off strategy between regenerative braking system with ultra capacitor and vichile enegry efficency. Simulation with the UDDS scheduling show the relations of energy storage sizing, efficiency of regenerative braking system and ultra capacitor sizing.
