DC line voltage simulator for charging/discharging control of regenerative energy storage system in DC railway (직류지하철 회생에너지 저장장치의 충/방전 제어를 위한 가선전압 모의장치)

  • 본 논문에서는 회생에너지 저장시스템의 충/방전 제어를 위한 가선전압 모의 장치를 제안한다. 제안된 시뮬레이터는 실측된 가선전압 데이터를 입력으로 받아 실측 가선전압과 동일한 전압패턴으로 모사한다. 이러한 전압패턴은 회생에너지가 포함된 가선전압이며 이를 토대로 에너지 저장시스템에 연계시켜 충/방전 제어를 좀 더 효율적으로 수행할 수 있다. 제안된 시뮬레이터는 AC/DC 컨버터 타입으로 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 제안된 시스템의 타당성을 확인하였다.

  • 특수 전기자동차 시스템에서는 기존 자동차 대비 차량 동력 특성, 제한된 공간, 시스템 효율 특성으로 인해 다중동력시스템을 주로 적용한다. 본 연구에서는 인버터를 통해 구동한 후 제동시 발생되는 전기에너지 즉, 회생에너지를 이용한 배터리 사용시간 증대의 효과를 가지는 특수 전기자동차의 회생제동 시스템의 구성, 개념도 및 제동원리에 대하여 서술하였다. 제안한 시스템의 검증을 위해 PSIM시뮬레이션을 수행하여 본 논문에서 제안한 회생제동 시스템이 특수 전기자동차에서 유용함을 확인하였다.

  • This paper have been dealt with the analysis for energy efficiency improvement effect of unity storage capacity as a part of the energy storage application study to improve energy efficiency in the electric railway systems. Especially, in order to estimate the amount of energy saving according to the variation of power capacity of each storage, the current limit module was mounted on an existing DC electric railway loadflow program which is based on the analysis model for railway system and storages, and combined optimization algorithm to determine optimal voltage boundary.

  • Generation system using regenerative energy like photovoltaic, fuelcell is increased, PCS technology coming into the spotlight. The efficiency of DC-DC converter as part of the PCS is very important, multi-phase boost converter has more advantage than other topology. Input current of the multi-phase boost converter is divided into two inductor current because of parallel structure of the boost converters, thus it has features of decreasing input current ripple and output voltage ripple. Also multi-phase boost converter with soft switching can decrease switching loss using ZCS and ZVS. In this paper, simulation and experiment are performed to verify operation of the proposed converter, and efficiencies of the conventional and proposed converter are compared.

무선센서노드를 위한 CMOS ULP Radio 회로 설계 기술 동향

  • 무선센서네트워크를 위한 무선센서노드는 한정된 전력원을 이용하여 수천에서 수만시간의 동작을 가능하게 해야하므로 초저전력 (Ultra Low Power: ULP) 소모가 매우 중요한 설계 요구조건이 된다. 이를 위해 센서노드의 동작 주기(Duty Cycling)를 제어하는 기법이 전체 전력소모를 줄이는 매우 중요한 기술로 사용되고 있다. 회로의 전력 소모 감소를 위한 몇 가지 중요한 기술에는 회로적으로는 전류 재사용기술과 송수선기 구조로는 Super-regenerative 구조와 On-Off Keying 송수신기 구조가 있다. 또한 ULP Radio가 휴면모드에도 Wake-up을 가능하게 하기 위해서는 초저전력 클락 발생기 회로가 1${\mu}W$이하의 전력소모로 구현할 수 있어야 한다. 이러한 사항들을 적절히 고려함으로써 초저전력 CMOS Radio를 구현할 수 있다.

  • The application of SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) is dramatically increasing due to a simple mechanical structure, high efficiency and a good high speed characteristics. Generally, turn-off angle of power switch must be limited the demagnetization period. To control high conduction ratio in motor operation and regenerative voltage in the generator operation in the SRM, multi-level voltage control is effective. This paper proposes multi-level inverter to have a maximum conduction ratio of SRM. The proposed method is verified by experiment.

  • In this paper, new spectrum sensing schemes based on analog/RF front-end processing are introduced for IoT wireless sensor networks. While the conventional approaches for wireless channel cognition have been issued in signal processing area, the RF spectrum cognition concept makes it feasible to achieve cognitive wireless sensor networks (C-WSNs). The spectrum cognition at RF processing is categorized as four kinds of sensing mechanisms. Two recent reseaches are described as promising candidates for the C-WSN. One senses spectrum by the frequency discriminating receiver, the other senses and detects from the frequency selective super-regenerative receiver. The introduced systems with simple and low-power RF architectures play dual roles of channel sensing and demodulation. simultaneously. Therefore, introduced spectrum sensing receivers can be one of the best candidates for IoT wireless sensor devices in C-WSN environments.

Fouling Analyses of Heat Exchangers for PSR (주기적안전성평가를 위한 원전 열교환기 Fouling 평가)

  • Fouling of heat exchangers is generated by water-borne deposits, commonly known as foulants including particulate matter from the air, migrated corrosion produces; silt, clays, and sand suspended in water; organic contaminants; and boron based deposits in plants. This fouling is known to interfere with normal flow characteristics and reduce thermal efficiencies of heat exchangers. This paper focuses on fouling analyses for six heat exchangers of two primary systems in two nuclear power plants; the regenerative heat exchangers of the chemical and volume control system and the component cooling water heat exchangers of the component cooling water system. To analyze the fouling for heat exchangers, fouling factor was introduced based on the ASME O&M codes and TEMA standards. Based on the results of the fouling analyses, the present thermal performances and fouling levels for the six heat exchangers were predicted.

  • The constraint condition of the loop filter is persented for the convergence of the random jitter accumulation fo the 2-nd order PLL (phase-locked loop) circuit used in digital regenerative repeater. This condition is confirmed under the assumption that the number of repeater chain is 5, bandwidth is 100. 0KHz, the power spectral density of white Gaussian noise is 1.0x10**-6 [W/Hz]. Also, it is shown that if the condition is satisfied, the accumulated random jitter and the alignment jitter will have the saturation characteristics.

High-Speed BiCMOS Comparator

  • This paper introduces the design of BiCMOS latched comparator circuit for high-speed system application, which can be used in data conversion, instrumentation, communication system etc. By exploiting the advantage technology of the combination of both the bipolar transistor and the CMOS transistor devices. The comparator circuit includes an input stage that combines MOS sampling with a bipolar regenerative amplifier. The resistive load of conventional current-steering comparator is replaced by a load, which is made by a NMOS transistor. The advantage of design and PSPICE simulation of BiCMOS latched comparator are the circuit will obtain wide bandwidth with lowest power consumption at a single supply voltage. All the characteristics of the proposed BiCMOS latched comparator circuit is carried out by simulation program.
